I went an hour before closing. The front desk only asked me for my insurance and ID. No other paperwork but to sign and did not give me copies. I went back to a room quickly. The girl took my blood pressure and temperature. They barely asked me what medication I already took and for what because the pressure was high, then low, and low again, after five attempts I said I have high blood pressure. (For what the numbers read, sick or not, the doctor mentioned nothing, which is concerning because everyone talks to me if my numbers aren't good) BIGGEST ISSUE - NO ONE ASKED ME IF I HAD ALLERGIES TO MEDICATIONS. (Pharmacist later that night even questioned why I was prescribed what I was prescribed, luckily it's a relatively low reaction, but still) The doctor came in - looked in my ears, listened to my breathing. Said she could give me a steroid to help me breathe, antibiotic for my chest and throat, then cough syrup for my cough. Ok. When she came back I had to ask her what she prescribed, stating I was pretty certain I was allergic to what she wrote for me. She said no. Oh, and she didn't even tell me what she was diagnosing me with, I had to read my discharge paperwork!!! No follow up info, nothing. No one asked me for my medical history. They didn't weigh me. Their blood pressure machine didn't work very well. Overall, after the experience in hindsight, I feel as if they just wanted me gone. Before they were a Banner location, it was something else and I had gone in three times before and they never had records of me being there before, so I never went back. I asked for a throat swab to see if I have a sinus infection, ear infection, any of them the doctor never looked in my throat or ears and refused to test me for anything else except covid. What's the point of having online scheduling (great idea!) if the staff at the facility don't honor it? I understand if there's an emergency but I scheduled a time, with 3 people in the office, and watched them give away my time slot 2 times. I waited more than an hour. Very irresponsible and unprofessional. And their behavior and mistake in not watching their own scheduling screen (yes they show you who's next!) didn't even get me a sorry response. Worst urgent care ever. They don't even have doctors working. I called before bringing my son who needed stitches (after being seen by paramedics who suggested being seen at an urgent care instead of waiting at an ER) to ask if they could stitch him there. They were given the info on his wound and they said yes. I checked him in online on the way and got there and waiting 90 minutes to be seen only to be told they couldn't stitch him and I would have to go to another location and wait an additional 90 minutes!! I would have been better off driving to a hospital and waiting 2 hours. read more

I accidentally splashed boiling hot water on my leg and foot. We immediately went to this Banner Urgent Care as I have always taken my kids here. I was just a walk-in yet I saw the nurse within 5 minutes of walking in the door. The nurse and the PA were very caring and quickly took care of my burns. They were very clear on explaining what I should do next and were very caring. I've always been impressed with this place when I bring my kids in and now I experienced great care myself. I'll talk about what I like first. We have visited this place so many times over the last two years. They are usually very thorough and do a good job of treating and diagnosing, unless it's something out of their specialty, then you get referred to a specialist. The doctors and the assistants are very good. You are typically in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. This last visit was a bit frustrating; not while there, but after we left. The prescribed antibiotics were sent to a pharmacy that closed early. Ok, no problem. I call back and then ask the front desk to have the prescription sent to a different pharmacy that was open. I know it was the end of the night and they were closing, but the front desk lady informed me that she would have the doctor send over a prescription to a 24hr pharmacy right away, and I said thank you, I am headed there now. This pharmacy was 30 minutes away. No problem. I get to the pharmacy and the lady I spoke to never had the doctor resend the prescription, so I drove 30 minutes for nothing. I call back, and of course they are now closed and I'm out of luck. I get she wanted to go home and sounded tired, but if you say you are sending the prescription over right away to a pharmacy that is open 24/7, and I tell you I'm driving there now, I would have expected for her to at least make sure that it was sent before she goes home for the night. It's basic human decency. Thankfully, the story does get better (or more stars would have been taken), and I was able to call another location that is open late, and they were able to see that we had visited, and what was prescribed. The man was very kind, stayed on the line, and made sure a new order was sent over. He apologized and made the situation all better! So, I am thankful for that, and will be using this Urgent Care again, just hopefully not too soon ;-D. read more

My son got hurt skateboarding and I took him to the Urgent Care because it was Friday later on the day. We were able to see a Dr in about 20 mint. despite the waiting time being estimated to be 60 mint. The staff and the Doctor were extremely nice. They were able to keep my son calm and laughing even though the situation was stressful. X-Ray was needed. Broken bone :( . I'm thankfull they were able to see my son. read more

I cant believe this place. I was was having some sort of reaction to food. very severe. all internal. unfortunately, nothing visual so I'm sure the doctor discounted me. I sat there for an hour just to go back and waited almost another hour before the doctor came in. i gave him all my symptoms. they check bp, temp, and blood suger (because of weakness) that was fine. he stated they dont do blood work there and only wrote down what he wanted me to tell my doctor to add to my blood test. i had to see another doctor at my pcp since mine was out. he was very nice but not sure why i even went when he did nothing. found out from having to go to an outside lab that i have severe Inflammation in my body. they have not found out what it is yet. on to more docs and tests. read more

Got X-rays for my son on Saturday. He had a broken ankle. My son went to school today in a wheel chair, but wasn't able to get in with the chair because the school needed a note from the doctor for permission to use the wheelchair. I called this urgent care to have them fax the note, and they refused because the physician who saw him on Saturday wasn't in today. This made not sense since they have a clear record of his xrays in their files. What's so hard about sending a note to the school to use a wheelchair for a kid with a broken ankle? Now we have to either wait for his Saturday physician to come back to work or wait for his orthopedist appointment before he can even go back to school. This is crazy! It goes to show how lazy these people are and how they have absolutely no care for their patients. read more

I'm am not a fan of urgent care. It seems like all of these Banner urgent care facilities don't have actual MD's which is a real 100 percent doctor me. They just have nurse practitioners and physicians assistants which are not as skilled or knowledgeable as an MD. I've been battling a sore throat and a wet cough for the past week. The NP just suggested taking an over the counter nasal spray and mucinex which I have already been doing and having been getting any better. I did get an antibiotic, but I had to fight for it. I shouldn't have to fight for an antibiotic when I have a history of this same illness over and over again and state that over the counter meds don't help me. I'm just going to wait to see my regular MD from now on and get treated and diagnosed properly. These urgent care facilities don't even give you a diagnosis a lot of times even after giving you medicine. It's a joke. read more

The front staff was not very friendly, the nurse checking us in even less friendly and the doctor. Don't even get me started. This is the SECOND time I have had to come back cause what they did the first time didn't work. And now I have to pay AGAIN for them not knowing what their doing. We've been to this Urgent Care twice in the last year. Both times we were seen quickly, treated and out of the office in a reasonable amount of time. Both the front desk and medical staff were very friendly, and accommodating. Mike went out of his way to help us find a pharmacy that was still open, and he got our prescriptions transferred and filled. I booked my appointment on line and received a text 20 minutes before to head on over. I purposely chose this facility because they do X-rays and I thought I had bronchitis for the 3rd time in 6 months. With flu season in full force my doctor did not have an appointment available. I waited less than 15 minutes before I was called back. Brian was very thorough and listened to my concerns. We both agreed an X-ray would be the best route to ease my concerns. He did not see anything of concern so we agreed to ride out my illness. Later that day I received a phone call from Brian that the radiologist looked at my X-ray as well and saw something that would require an antibiotic. They called it into my pharmacy. I was very impressed on how they handled my care. This is my go to Urgent care now. read more

Exception care from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. My care was exactly as I would have expected and I wouldn't change a thing. I did read some of the negative reviews before going so was hesitant to try them but because my daughter who has used their facility on numerous occasions, and because my PCP is in the Banner health system, I decided to give it a try. I would not be hesitant to go back with minor ailments again. I do have to add that if I was in need of more aggressive care such as IV's, labs on site then I would have to consider a more advanced Urgent Care. My young adult son was seen a week ago at this clinic and diagnosed with pneumonia by a physician's assistant (I assume, since no one was wearing identification or introduced themselves, but the signature on the prescriptions identified a physician's assistant). The advertisement says there are doctors on site, but I am not sure if this is accurate. Some other person in the clinic attempted to take my son for something besides a chest X-ray, and I asked if he had the right patient; he did not. Later that same person attempted to give my son a bag of medicines intended for another patient. I caught the error and he then returned with a bag containing (supposedly) three prescriptions. I asked my son to check the bag's contents, and there were only two prescriptions. That staff member told my son that one was a nasal inhaler--two puffs in each nostril. Again, he was wrong. It was an oral inhaler; two puffs only. Before discharge, we asked if my son's pneumonia was contagious, as he helps care for two young children. We were told it was not. One of Urgent Care Extra's prescriptions was a Z-pack, which my son took as directed. However, he got steadily worse as the week went on. On Thursday I took him to a closer Urgent Care Extra (at Gilbert and Queen Creek). The person he saw there concluded his pneumonia was viral, since he wasn't getting better. They said there was nothing to do for viral pneumonia and sent him home with a strong cough syrup. His condition worsened. Yesterday, Friday, he went to the ER, and was admitted to the hospital. The hospitalist was appalled that a Z-pack was prescribed, saying it is not useful for pneumonia. Two stronger, broad-spectrum antibiotics were given IV. She disputed that there was nothing to do if his pneumonia were viral, that he definitely was in need of "supportive therapy." Again, we asked if my son's pneumonia was contagious. and this time we were told definitively YES--that he should wear a mask around vulnerable people. In addition to the fees at the two Urgent Care Extra centers, my son is now on the hook for thousands of dollars of ER and inpatient fees, despite having insurance. It will be worth it, though, to know he is being properly cared for. You may draw your own conclusions about going to this Urgent Care Extra. I, for one, will not be taking anyone I love there again. read more

I do not recommend going here unless you have nothing else to do for the entire day. I checked in at 10:45am with only 1 single person sitting in the waiting room. There was no rush whatsoever. Paperwork only took 3 minute then we sat there for over an hour. Nothing on the TV, mo music, nobody was talking, pitch quiet. I had 3 kids with and they had exactly 3 kids books. Once we got into the room it was another 15-20 minutes wait for the doctor or PA whomever. It only took 10 minutes for my daughter to get stitches but the whole trip was 2 hours. The man doing the stitches was also cold, unfriendly and not pleasant. I would expect that with a full lobby. Ridiculously slow. I should have spent a little more and gone to Gilbert ER, they get you seen in 10 minutes flat with a very kind staff. read more

0 stars! Never go here!!! Long story short: took our 5-year-old with a raging ear infection here. At one point, my wife asked if they had a pharmacy on-site. The PA ended up basically holding us hostage because she decided to mix the medicine and charge us without verifying with us first. She said she'd have to get it approved through her manager for us to go to Walgreens instead. Meanwhile my child is crying in pain, and she wouldn't let us leave with his prescription because she couldn't own up to a dumb mistake. Totally unprofessional and disrespectful. read more

If they didn't take my copay already I would have left and went somewhere else where they have a sense of urgency for the sick in need of care. The lady at the front desk is useless. She couldn't even tell me the average wait time to be seen with only 4 others ahead of me. I will not be coming back to this place. We went in for my daughter on a Saturday in August 2017. Not only did they charge me for 2 different office visits...we only went once. They then charged us for tests that were not needed or asked for. In fact we said we did not want. Now I am fighting to get our money back from being overcharged! If I could rate no stars I would. My husband went in to the Banner urgent Care on Gilbert and Queen Creek. Front desk service was wonderful. When he went to get his eye checked out the MD or NP she treated him horribly. No customer service skills at all. Banner please hire people who can treat a person with some respect and kindness.
