I was in a bad accident two days ago and was released from the ER that night. Now today I'm still having severe pain in my left arm and I'm at this facility asking for help and they are essentially refusing service and recommend I drive all the way back to the ER (20 miles away) and have them check me out again! I have one functional arm that I believe may be broken and they have a doctor on AND xray available. They are sending me away and really acting like I am bothering them here! Btw there is nobody else here, not like they're busy or anything. Just wanted some help and this urgent care failed 100%. Do not come here unless you absolutely have to and you better pray they DECIDE to help you. UPDATE: went to the urgent care just west of this location on Bell Rd and 7th st. The last thing anyone wants to worry about is how you're going to be treated when you're sick or in pain. I recently got hurt while at the gym and decided to go to Banner Urgent Care to get checked out. Everyone there was friendly and professional. The wait from the waiting room wasn't too terrible. The front desk attendant was very accommodating when I asked him for an ice pack for my wounds (I'd tripped while running and put my hands out to break my fall, skinning my palms). Once they called my name and brought me to one of the waiting rooms in the back, I was tended to by Aaron. He's a hoot! Kept me laughing the whole time, which made cleaning my open wounds a little more tolerable. The nurse practitioner, Noah, was very professional and calm. Both of these guys were great! After being cleaned up and bandaged, I walked through the hall to the exit and they waved. Nice guys. I hope I never see them again... lol! read more

Overall the staff was very kind and helpful. However, Monica Jeffers, NP was very curt with almost no bedside manner. She came across irritated and inconvenienced by my presence. When giving me the results of my chest X-ray she simply said it was negative, gave me my paperwork and walked out. Unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant and off putting experience. I recommend future patients ask for the name of the NP on duty upon arrival and if it is Monica Jeffers, NP go to a different urgent care. read more

I give them one star because there isn't anything less. I have been sitting here for 3 hours at Campbell and Prince when I was told it would be an hour. I'm sick, and just want to be told the truth about the wait. I called the front desk many multiple of times including my time waiting and the front desk attendant never answered and was promptly disconnected after 7 rings. If I could give zero stars I would. We have lived in this area for 3 years and always come to this urgent care when needed. Today, we made an appointment for my 1 year old daughter who was exposed to covid. She has all the symptoms and we needed a medication for her cough and fever because Motrin/Tylenol wasn't cutting it. We preferred not to have her take the covid test knowing full well she probably has it so there's no point in making her even more miserable by shoving the swab up her nose. The provider was NP Kim Arnold- she walked in the door and the first thing she said was- "So if you refuse the covid test why are you here." Seriously? That is appalling. She had a fever of 102, has a horrible cough and runny nose. But because we didn't want a covid test you don't think we should be there. The provider then goes on to tell us there is nothing she can do and we have to go to Phoenix Children's Emergency room. My husband asked if they could give her a steroid or breathing treatment to help her and she refused any treatment and sent us to the ER. During the appointment she also told my husband not to let our child sit down on the dirty floor. So you are a medical facility yet it's dirty? Ya not ok. The provider was completely rude and condescending the whole time. It's hard enough having a sick child and wanting to make sure they are taken care of and getting the treatment needed to improve. The last thing you need is a provider who is nasty and unwilling to be helpful. We went to Phoenix children's and they were beyond nice and helpful. They gave her a steroid and we were on our way in less than 1.5 hours. If you are unwilling to help a sick child then you clearly shouldn't be working in a field where you help people who are sick. I will never set foot in this facility again. I will be calling my insurance to dispute the charges because they basically refused to help us and therefore they shouldn't be charging me or my insurance anything. read more

This is my third visit to this urgent care, very fast and friendly. I don't go any other urgent care, Nurse Practioner Monica Jeffers was amazing. She cared for my concerns and I was explaining my symptoms, she was able to prescribed antibiotics and recommend some otc medicine. I wish she have her own clinic so she can be my primary care doctor. Definitely recommend my friends and family. read more

Rude staff if you are unvaccinated. You cannot have preferences and receive medical care in 2022. I think it's very unprofessional to walk in on a patient with intent bully them over their vaccine status. Nurse Andy did my intake/vitals, and Dr. Steven Silodor was the one who saw me. They both had great "bedside manner", listened to me/didn't make me feel like what I was saying was irrelevant even if it medically might have been. I did come in for a simple issue, and they could only treat one concern in a visit, which is why it is not 5 stars. But I know how hard/scary it is to find a medical providers that care to listen and make you feel comfortable- and that is what I experienced. I was not rushed, disregarded, judged, or made to feel like my concerns weren't important. If that is what you are looking for- they seem to provide it with ease. Thank you both so much for that! I am not one to write reviews, but this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at this urgent care. I came in with terrible flu symptoms and feeling so sick that I couldn't even stand to check myself in. The gentleman who brought me back into the room was incredibly kind and when I almost passed out on him while he was taking my blood pressure, he very kindly let me lay down. The NP came in and was so dismissive, condescending and just downright rude. I explained to her that I got a negative covid test the day prior to which she cut me off and said "it was rapid and only 50% accurate" like I did something wrong in choosing to get a rapid test. I then tried to explain my symptoms starting with the fact that I have had a fever for the past 4 days to which she again cut me off by saying "you don't have one right now". Even though I had just taken 800 mg of ibuprofen before I came. She didn't even ask anything about my medical history which is quite extensive but instead started interrogating me on my profession and if I wear a mask to which she was extremely judgemental on even though it has absolutely 0 relevance to me being sick but my medical history quite possibly could. She made me take another covid test even though I already had one negative one. I brought up how one of my friends mentioned a Z-pack could help whatever was making me sick. She practically rolled her eyes and smirked saying if I think I have the flu a Z-pack won't help but "I can write it for you anyways". Typically I would not hold my tongue in a situation like this but I was on the verge of passing out and had no energy to yell at her. I am baffled that someone in a position like hers would have the gall to be so unprofessional and unwilling to believe that people can get sick of something other than covid. Had she asked my medical history I would have explained that I already had covid earlier this year and this sickness felt completely different. My covid test came back negative again this morning. Its unfortunate that her bedside manners are that terrible and I would support her changing her profession. I have always chosen Banner for my healthcare needs but this terrible interaction is going to make me second guess that. The place was great! Gabe at the front desk, absolutely amazing! Helped me with no hesitation and nice guy! He even had a conversation with me and my husband! The doctor, was great! No none sense approach...told you what was wrong and called in the prescriptions. Finally decided to get a flu shot today and Urgent Care Extra was the only place I could find that had them. +1 for them. Typical urgent care facility with a larger than normal waiting room and friendly staff. When I arrived I asked how long it would take and was informed it would be about 20 minutes. Turned out it took 75 minutes. I wasn't the happiest about that, but then I'm the one who waited until the last minute to get a flu shot. Very clean facility! The front desk lady was super nice as was the X-ray technician. Unfortunately all the great customer service stopped as soon as P.A. Randall Sorrentino came in the room. My boyfriend, who never complains of pain, was experiencing back pain and this guy came in like a robot with his questions and didn't seem to have any compassion for the pain he was in. My boyfriend specifically told him he has previously been prescribed Flexorall and it wasn't helpful with the pain, so what did Randall prescribe...Flexorall!! He then went on to tell him to do some neck/back stretches but never gave him any examples that would help stretch the specific area of pain. Everyone but Randall was nice and compassionate. Banner urgent care staff are nice and helpful. The wait isn't so bad and the doctors seem to care. The only problem I have is every time I go here they mess up my insurance with the billing department. I always get a bill for something I do not owe. If they would just use the insurance info I gave them in the first place It wouldn't be a nightmare contacting the billing department. I just received a bill that said final notice from a year ago. Then it's going to collections. My daughter's secondary insurance has Full Coverage . Get it together Banner! read more

This is a very mixed review. We were only at this facility for a Covid test prior to a hospital procedure. The gentleman at the reception desk- Gabriel- was very kind, helpful, and even assisted me with getting my disabled husband safely to the car. The medical assistant or whatever he was that actually did the test was rude and dismissive. He never even told us his name. Didn't even bother to hold a door for my husband to get out of the room. He literally got his sample and left us there. I guess I should count myself lucky that he let me go in at all. With my husband's cognitive and hearing issues he never would have gotten the test done. Gabriel gets 5 stars. The other guy gets zip! read more

After having potential exposure to someone who was COVID positive, experiencing flu-like symptoms, and with plans to travel on a plane to see my older parents in the near future, I went into Banner to get a COVID test to see if I was positive. There was a PA presiding over the care, Janelle Hannah, and she was responsible for one of worst healthcare experiences I've ever had. She berated me, one notch below a yell, at how I shouldn't get tested--how NO ONE should get tested. She was offended that I wanted to get tested and chastised me for wanting to go ahead with it, against her protestations, despite my exposure, my symptoms, and my impending travel plans. She bragged how she travels on planes, how she sees her aging mother, and how she has continued to go to work, administering to patients, even when she has had symptoms, without ever having been tested. She stormed out of the room and forced another employee to come in and test me. I got my results back quickly--negative, thankfully--but I was rattled at having a healthcare worker be so aggressive toward me, incensed at the idea that I--or anyone--would want to confirm whether or not I was COVID positive. If you are looking to get a COVID test, go anywhere but here. read more

This is the most inappropriate and unprofessional establishment I have ever been to in my life. The receptionist asked me to write down my information, reason why I was there and my husbands social security number on a Post it note??? Are there no formal intake forms? I was extremely lethargic and sat down and the receptionist shouted out my symptoms in front of a crowded lobby. "Hey, you have abdominal pain and heavy bleeding? Why are you here?" Really? You couldn't call me up by my name? Where is the patient confidentiality? I whispered my concern to her and she shouted that I needed to leave and go to the ER. I had brought my son in 4 days ago with a fever. I paid 150 cash and was given an antibiotic. The antibiotics are not working and when I called to ask for a different one I was told I needed to bring him back in and pay again. It was stated there is a different Dr there now and when asked when the same one was there again I was told they rotate and don't have a known schedule. After all of this, I had spoken with Carol a NP and she told me to bring him back in so he can be reevaluated and assessed again. This was at no additional charge and we are glad since he actually had phenomena! At first we were not impressed with our experience but after expressing our concerns Carol went above and beyond for our boy. They have earned our trust again. read more

Banner in general has always provided good care to both me and my family. However, their urgent care at 32nd St and Indian School Road should be shut down in my opinion. The receptionist is triaging patients and giving medical advice and doesn't appear to have any kind of medical credential. She also doesn't seem to have any knowledge of insurances, co-pays, etc. The two times I've seen a medical provider there the care was great. If Banner doesn't correct this soon I suspect they will have a lawsuit on their hands if they haven't already. read more

Paid over $300 for something that should have been $45. Gave the front desk my new insurance card and they tried to charge my old insurance. Of course, it was denied. I had to call to set up my new insurance but I continue to receive bills and get threats of being sent to collections. Joe called her and I asked if she could have someone help her get undressed if needed bc she couldn't move her arm; he looked at me and very rude said: why would we want to gent her undressed? And shut the door. I am in the medical field and I know how important and sensitive customer service is. Went to the 32 st and Indian school store just on my way from the emergency room that suggested I went to one of this facilities. Ok. After walking in briefly explained to the receptionist my symptoms after she asked and an older lady came back telling me that I should go to the actual emergency room. Never asked me about my problem or condition, simply took the word of the obvious "doctor" that answers the phones and simply got rid of me. Went to yet another emergency care from different company and after reviewing they gave me a shot that took care of the itch and the severe inflammation at least until the appointment with the dermatologist which was three weeks from then. Was seen for pink eye and was prescribed meds which did not eliminate the issue. Returned 10 days later, after the course of prescribed eye drops as it had not cleared up. Saw the same PA, never examined my eyes the second visit. He gave me another prescription and said if that didn't work to go to an ophthalmologist. I was charged $83 more for the second visit (as an established patient.) It has taken a year an a half for the billing office to billing my insurance company. I had to go to the clinic and pick up my record and fax them myself to the insurance company. The billing office was rude and NOT helpful during any of the many calls. Good luck getting care and correct billing from this urgent care. Received 3 emails from individuals from Banner who "wanted to find out more about my concerns". No follow up by any of them after the initial contact. Their follow up was as poor as the service at the clinic. read more

After reaching my primary..on Sunday.. I was informed to go to urgent care on 32nd Street and Bell Road in Phoenix Arizona.. the ONLY reason I went there was to get a refill on a prescription that I had BEEN taking for 15 years..... NEVER ever going to urgent care before the nightmare began from the second I walked in to the OFFICE/ location... I felt very uncomfortable explaining to the receptionist .. knowing there was people sitting in the room behind me.... what happened to patients privacy...... The covid-19 Shield plastic divider.... what's there to protect me very hard to speak to the receptionist... I said with a loud tone I am here to refill a laxative ..? After approximately 35 minutes of waiting they called me to the back room.......? With my prescription in my hand.... with my prescription in my hand with my prescription in my hand just to make sure you understand this part in my possession... I explained to the nurse that was taking my blood pressure and my oxygen intake that I was here just for one reason and one reason only to get a refill on my laxative that was in my hand the prescription she's grabbed the bottle read the prescription I did into the computer and explain to me the nurse practitioner would come in the nightmare continues.. speaking English I explained to her I would be having an issue if I didn't have my laxative till Wednesday when I get my refill and see my doctor face to face... she explained to me it wasn't a problem and if I should head to my pharmacist that's located on 40th Street and Thunderbird it would be ready...... I only needed enough to last me till Wednesday... TILL. TILL I need it till Wednesday Wednesday you decided to prove to me that you have no reason to be in business... driving back and forth from urgent care to the pharmacist back to urgent care with 2 oz that I need to figure out how I'm going to take 6 times a day for the next 4 days was just something I was not expecting from this unexperienced nurse practitioner ...k r o l i c k.. Suits the purpose. Staff is totally incompetent. Checked in and two people followed in after me. The girl went on break the new person called the other two before me. I was helped last and checked in last, both were asked for insurance information and seen before me. How does that work, idk if i was forgot about but seriously! Nurse was condescending and refused to take down accurate information. She input the temperature on the cart wrong, I wonder what other information was also wrong. A family member of mine was tested for covid 19 just two days ago and was told by a pregnant doctor who was not wearing a mask that she was 99% she was going to test negative. Instead of telling her to quarantine herself until they get the results. Today she got a call saying she was positive for covid 19. This clinic is going taking this epidemic seriously.
