I came in for a quick, small bite. The service was very friendly and quick. Plenty of seating inside and very clean. I ordered the pork belly bao and it was really good! The pork was yummy and buttery and it had perfect amount of sauces on it. I also got the thai green milk tea and was disappointed. I asked for light ice but it still tasted watered down. The flavor was kind of weird too. It didn't have that Thai tea flavor.

Being in Katy, this place is priced decent and the food is great. We came here and ordered a couple bao buns, spam slider, & popcorn chicken. The bao buns were delish! I will say that it's a bit on the salty side but the veggies and bun are a good mix. The popcorn chicken was yummy - if it had basil, it would be 10/10!! We will definitely be coming back.

Was around the corner and paid way too much for tiny food, so came here after and so glad we did. The soft shell crab Bao was one of the best soft shell crab experiences of my life! You have to try this. The batter they used was unlike any other fried soft shell crab I've had- it was thick and crunchy to juxtapose the soft, pillowy, perfectly steamed bao on the outside. The tang of the pickled veg along with the sweet and spice of the sauce, it's the type of flavor profile you crave going across the entire spectrum with all different textures to boot. Also had a stellar cold cut banh mi, great quality and perfect crunch on outside to soft bread inside. Needless to say, left stuffed and happy

We finally got to try this place and it was delicious! The standard foods were pretty basic but the bao was my favorite! It was extremely tasteful and full of flavor. It was very clean inside and we did not wait long for our food at all!

We were attempting to visit Proper Rose Garden during their closing weekend, but after an hour and a half of waiting, we were hungry and needed something fast. Enter Bao Bao Banh Mi -- our savior. This was such a great find! The food was affordable and the portions were plentiful. They had a VAST array of options, from Banh Mis to Baos. I personally enjoyed a grilled shrimp and lemongrass beef bao. 10/10 would recommend. The environment is cute and cozy too!

1st time customer, very disappointed in the quality of food received. Banh mi was rock hard and popcorn chicken was a box of fried batter. Where is the chicken?

Found this place by putting bulgogi fries ! And they had the best picture in the area lol I was not disappointed Bap Bao Banh Mi was a cute little shop in Katy Asian Market area . The menu was easy to read which I loved because I ask a lot of questions and didn't have to because all the details was there My husband and I decided to share the bulgogi fries, chicken sliders , and a sandwich All were delicious ! Bulgogi fries- 8.9 delicious but I did wish the fries were a bit thicker and a little bit more sauce. The hit the mark with the meat there was plenty of meat Chicken slider - 9.4 they were very flavorful! No complaints honestly Sandwich- 9.4 delicious i thought it was missing a little something but my husband love it and actually ordered another one to go lol. All in all a great find and I'll be back !

Food was great (but pricey)! Service was fast! Perfect spot for lunch or dinner due to its close proximity to Katy Asia Town for other desserts, close to Andrettis Karting and Claw City for fun and games! The ambiance is relaxed and the inside is quaint. Definitely recommend although it's a little expensive!

Okay, wow. This little joint is adorable, super cozy and every item we tasted was delicious. The popcorn chicken is so crispy and surprisingly not that spicy. We tasted the chicken katsu, pork belly & Bulgogi bao.. yum! The chicken katsu and bulgogi were definitely my favorite. Amazing flavors and textures. Lemongrass pork vermicelli was tasty and my sister devoured her bahn mi.. a must try. So much variety on the menu, you can't go wrong!

Service was great and food was good. We ordered the cold cut pork special, lemongrass pork, Hawaiian spam Bahn mi.

Service was good. Besides the sandwiches we got a soft shell crab bao, shrimp and pork spring rolls and fries. Probably won't order the fresh spring roll just because I prefer my own homemade sauce. But there was nothing wrong with the rolls.

Love this place and it's also in a great location. The service is always very nice and the name speaks for itself. Everything is good especially their chicken Katsu. They offer free water along with boba beverages.

I am thrilled that Bao Bao Banh Mi has opened a second location in Katy. I am particularly fond of their cold cut banh mi, where the meat is thinly sliced and generously portioned, accompanied by pate, butter, plenty of vegetables, and the shop's special sauce, creating an amazing flavor. The restaurant's space is spacious and impeccably clean.

Was super excited to see a place that serves both Bao & Banh Mi, 2 of my favorite things!! I got a pork belly bao, a lemon grass pork Banh mi, and finished it off with a coffee Thai milk tea. Was a little disappointed with the lack of meat on the Banh mi. It was mostly bread and vegetables. However, the flavors were great. The bao was delicious, but the pork belly was a little tough to chew. The milk tea was perfection. Banh Mi - 3/5 Coffee Thai Milk Tea - 5/5 Braised Pork Belly Bao - 4/5

My go-to is the number 2, a rare steak pho that is made with filet mignon. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the service. The staff always recognize me, make me feel welcome, and go out of their way to make sure everything is right. That kind of hospitality is rare and makes a big difference. This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

We saw on the door that they're BYOB? Thai Green Tea (4.5/5): Really sweet but with some pretty unique grassy/herbal notes! (Pandan??) Would recommend if they can adjust the sweetness down a notch. We let the ice melt a bit and it made for a great palatte cleanser. Banh Xeo (4.5/5): Definitely one of their signature dishes. I read the reviews on how large it was and it was still shocking! See my hand for reference. It's crispy and delicious. Two downsides: Not enough protein, and not enough lettuce to make wraps with how big it is. But overall, definitely one of the best I've had outside of homemade. Banh Khot (4/5): These little flavor explosions are a perfect bite size and are also a signature dish. Would definitely recommend. A few of ours were light on the pork. Banh Bot Chien (3.5/5): I was dying to try this since there is really one famous spot for it. Their version is very good, but misses on the crispiness. The inside texture and pairing sauces and radish were all very good, it just needed a little more crisp. I love that they give extra garlic and spice and basically let you customize the intensity of your fish sauce to your preference. Paid with no issues via inKind at the counter. We definitely left stuffed and would come back!

At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. I requested for pho tuoi (fresh noodles) which are slightly bigger than the standard noodles they give you. However, I regretted this choice because many of my noodles were clumped together, distracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I think there's a heavy usage of MSG in their broth because I felt loopy and very thirsty for water halfway through. Needless to say, I was only able to eat half of the generous serving. For those who are a fan of pho and appreciate generous portions, this place is definitely worth a visit. Their pho bowls are substantially larger than those I've encountered elsewhere, offering a potentially satisfying experience for the more voracious diner but for me, quantity is not enough of a reason to become a regular.
