Well this is my go-to brunch spot to bring all my out-of-towners. I can't believe I don't still have a review posted in the system! Let me start by saying I've been here multiple, multiple times & I've never had any food items that weren't good. I always get breakfast (even if it's lunch time) so I don't know much about the lunch items. Not only is the food outstanding with a creative twist, it's consistent. Over the years, the place has expanded several times so now there is a decent amount of dine-in seating in addition to the outdoor seating. The place still stays packed but with their wait list in advance/text notification system & efficiency in seating customers, if there is a wait things move along smoothly. Additionally, anyone who is waiting knows it's worth the wait!! The service staff are friendly. The atmosphere is homey & they decorate for the various holidays & seasons. Owner/chef Lori is always walking around asking guests if everything is ok. On at least 2 occasions she happened to chat with me/my guest about some dietary restrictions & she whipped something up for us to try. My go-to dish is the harvest breakfast where you can pick 4 breakfast items from a list. This is a great way to sample more menu items. Here's my take on some of my favorites: - Sourdough pancakes are thin & really delicious. - Belgium Leige waffle is very sweet with the pearl sugar "nuggets" in them so taste them before you add a lot of syrup. - Scrambled eggs are well seasoned, not bland. - Avocado & tomato or the fresh fruit are nice light touches as one of the side item choices. - Fried chicken tenders are really good. Spice level 3 (medium) is not that spicy. It's flavorful. - Grilled chicken tenders are good. As much as I typically eat grilled or baked chicken, I allow myself to choose fried for these. - Grits are creamy. I get them with no cheese. I'm not a big grits person but I do like these! The menu is very extensive. It includes vegan, vegetarian, keto & gluten free. Is the breakfast a little pricey, the answer is "it's all relative." Sometimes it's just worth paying for a great meal. In case you haven't gotten the message, Harvest Kitchen is a must try. Do yourself a favor & have a visit. I'm betting it will stay on your list as a repeat eating spot!! The food here is absolutely delicious and the service is friendly! Harvest has a very calm and inviting atmosphere. We decided to try this place out for the first time because we were in the area and wanted to dine somewhere with good vegetarian or vegan options. If you're dining in, check in with the host/hostess and they will tell you where you will be seated. You will be given a "ticket" to take to the counter to place your order. After you place your order, your food will be brought out to your designated table. We had a very enjoyable brunch at Harvest and will definitely come back next time we're in Katy. read more

Wowow! This place is absolutely delicious. I'm usually pretty underwhelmed with breakfast/brunch places but this place did not disappoint. The waitlist can be long but it is worth it! Just be sure to check the wait time and sign yourself up for the waitlist if you aren't there yet. Just sort of get a gauge of when you could be and put yourself on the list depending on the waitlist time. Once we ordered we got the food very quickly. I loved my fried chicken eggs Benedict. Such a yummy hollandaise sauce and very crispy chicken. My husband enjoyed his sausage gravy and biscuit breakfast. And we both were obsessed with the banana nut cookie butter waffle. What a stunning restaurant. The greenery throughout the store made everything feel so wholesome and the elegant decor added a touch of sophistication. The exterior is just as beautifully decorated. It's clear that chef-owner Lori Pope poured a lot of time, heart, and soul into both the menu and the store's design. The hostess was super friendly. As soon as I walked in, she gave me a warm and smiling greeting. The menu was a feast for the eyes. It had a lot of lovely pictures of the different dishes. I was ecstatic to see that there were so many vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Also, most of the dishes can be requested to be made gluten-free. Big plus. You don't order at your table, instead you go to the counter in the back and make sure to bring the sheet with your table number on it. The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking. I am happy there's a locally owned and created brunch place like Harvest Kitchen and will definitely be back to try other dishes. She brought me my cinnamon roll after I asked for a refund, I relayed that message to granddaughter. My review reflects on her unwelcoming hostess mentioned.. I was also met with pages of messages on Instagram from their personal page after this review that I KINDLY responded to on how they no longer served us. Apparently you can't be open and honest on yelp without being banned from this restaurant. Lack of professionalism and ability to accept open criticism is clearly an issue & displayed here. Being labeled as much considering the close and friendly relationships I've had with the staff here is disappointing, disgraceful, and disrespectful. I will not longer be commenting on this as of 06/17/2026. 06/16/2026: I am a regular. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed my meal and/or experience here from start to finish here. Today was my last straw. The experience and food is noticeably different when chef Lori is not here. For $80 I expect my food to come fresh and delivered with the rest of the tables food. We have been meaning to try this brunch spot near us ever since moving to Katy! The first time we went it was over an hour wait on a Sunday afternoon. We decided to try again early Saturday morning. You enter the waitlist via a QR code on a sign outside the restaurant and then wait in your car where they'll text you whenever your table is ready. You wait in a line to order at the register and then sit at your assigned table where they bring you your food. Inside ambiance was spectacular, attention to detail and very Fall oriented which we loved. Very homey and mom/pop shop feel. Service was great and super prompt. Food was ran out immediately when ready and very fresh/hot. We got the pumpkin spiced latte and salted caramel latte which came out very quickly. The flavors were a bit muted and not overly sweet. Probably the weakest part of the meal. We got the double chicken and waffles and the monte Cristo, as well as a French toast trio to share. Chicken waffle-5/5. Amazing crunchy batter with like a Nashville hot syrup. We ordered the level 3 moderate spicy. The waffles were almost like candied and crispy. The chicken tenders were huge! Easily could have been satisfied with the one tender serving. Monte Cristo-5/5. The best Monte cristo I've had in years! Batter was crispy and doughy like a donut. And served with a raspberry marmalade. And 2 eggs cooked your way. French toast trio (banana nut cookie butter, lemon berry, and cinnamon)-5/5. Ambiance is great, the food is delicious and you can even eat the flower it comes with. The service is also very good, but it's minimal service they perform for you. You order at the counter you get plastic cups for water and tea which is self serve. They bring out the food, coffee and juices. That's the service you get and you get charged 15% tip before you even sit at the table. Even though the food is excellent I think it's a bit pricey and the 15% tip will keep me from returning. I gave it the 3 star because of the tip which I did not have a choice and the price of the food. If they get real wait staff and remove the auto tipping I'll give it another try. read more

This place is a perfect place for a quiet, cozy date, brunch with friends or family meal as they are very family friendly. The food is some of the best I've had in ages. It was large, but fluffy, sweet, buttery and in my humble opinion, better than those "magical" waffles you get at Disney resorts. Seriously, the best waffle I've ever had. I got the kids portion because I am a light eater and it was perfect, but they do have an adult version and a double I believe complete with sides. A Katy Gem Worth the Wait! Five stars all the way. It was our first visit, and it definitely won't be our last! We arrived around 8:25 a.m. on a Saturday and the line had already started. We hopped on the waitlist and were promptly seated once the doors opened. Since it was my birthday brunch, I ordered the quiche and a waffle, while my husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy along with the French toast. Everything was delicious--the waffle had a sugar pearl topping that was over the top, the crustless quiche was perfectly flavorful, the biscuits and gravy were rich and hearty, and the French toast was simply yummy! Chef Lori stopped by our table to wish me a happy birthday and even gave me the cutest tiara to celebrate. She and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and personable--such a thoughtful touch that made the experience extra special. This was my first visit to Harvest after hearing wonderful things from my mother and her friends. I came with my mother and two dear friends whom I hadn't seen in six months, so we were excited to catch up over a nice meal. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best and quite expensive. Our table spent over $100, and after about an hour and a half, a young woman approached us rather curtly and told us we needed to finish up and leave because there was a one-hour limit per table. None of us had noticed this policy posted anywhere. When I called later, I was told that the restaurant does, in fact, have an hour limit. While I had a lovely time catching up with my friends, the overall experience was disappointing. Between the average food, high prices, and the way we were asked to leave, I don't plan on returning. Went here for a little brekky with a friend visiting from DC. This was both our first time and came highly recommended by a friend of mine from the gym. Ordered a special variant of their chicken and waffles I mean it had this special bagel/bun with a cheese melted over top and had nice creamy scrambled eggs with two pieces of mild to hot chicken tenders (they were LONG) and there was also a lil avocado poking in too, and if my description didn't give it away, it was really GOOD. But don't let that take away from the supporting cast of food cause those little round breakfast potatoes omg, I mean good spice, good taste, good little crisp. Perfection. Just cause we were feeling fancy too and got the affogato and it was good don't get me wrong but like it was spur of moment kind of thing like I wasn't raving about it. Honestly the quality of anything you get you I don't think you'd be disappointed with, it's kind of like what kind of vibe you're feeling like classic breakfast items with pancakes or French toast? I wish I could tell Lori in-person, but this food is special. I can only imagine the thought, care, love, money, and time that went into making these recipes this luscious and delicious. You can tell the entire menu has been a labor of love, and I am so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to try her food today. First, every single person I spoke to in the restaurant was wonderfully friendly and made you feel at home. Everyone spoke to me so kindly and actually seemed like they wanted to be there. Their personalities fed the calming vibe I felt stepping into the door. I love the ambiance of the restaurant too and how it feels like you're actually in a person's very large kitchen. Comfort is what I felt immediately. Having had a gluten allergy for almost two decades, it is hard to find some of the food I grew up with back in the day. Today, I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with kettle chips and fruit. I can truly say that this was the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. Every single thing about this sandwich was thought out and beautifully executed. HUGE chicken breast - not a pounded thin breast. CHUNKY and tender and perfectly seasoned and nicely smothered with just the right amount of Nashville Hot Sauce. The coleslaw wasn't too creamy, so it didn't weight the sandwich down. The homemade pickles gave a perfect vinegar kick to the sandwich, and how this gluten free bun held up against this bird is beyond me. I even had it in a container for almost 20 minutes, and it was still perfection and did not fall apart. Every part of that sandwich was even better than I imagined it was going to be, and I honestly had stopped eating sandwiches because gluten free ones are rarely good, and the bun/bread is normally junk and crumbly. The fruit had blueberries the size of a thumbnail, so HUGE, and they were juicy and delicious. Strawberries were also great! I know it's wild I'm talking about a fruit cup, but here we are. Those chips are not something I could eat everyday only because my doctor would be displeased, but they are those deep brown kettle chips pulled out just at the right time for crunch and wonderful potato flavor. I also got pastries, but after that sandwich I needed a breather, but I admit to tasting a pecan off the keto pumpkin roll and YES PLEASE. I am so thankful to get to eat such wonderful gluten free food that has had so much care put into it. What a treat to have fueled my body today with Lori and team's amazing food! It was a quaint restaurant tucked away in a shopping center. Had I not looked for local restaurants on Yelp, I'm afraid I would have never stopped by. We were seated within 20 minutes which was great because it gave us time to look over the menu which had a variety of options that are suitable for a variety of dietary preferences and restrictions. My friend and I had chai tea and a chai latte respectively, which we enjoyed. We shared the spicy cauliflower which we enjoyed. We got medium spice level and it was a nice heat with a bit of sweetness. Reminded me of a BBQ rub you'd find on a nice brisket. My friend ordered the vegetarian tacos which she enjoyed and I got the Fried Goat Cheese Avocado Toast which was great! I love goat cheese and savored each bite. My sister has been telling me about how great this place is for a while, and I finally came to check it out. I thought the food here was excellent across the board. The main downside is the wait is lengthy, even later in the morning. We opted to sit outside to skip the wait, but it was chilly and they don't have heaters. I ordered the quiche and my friend ordered the mushroom tacos. All of it was very well-seasoned. I'm not sure what magical method they use for cooking the potatoes, but my friend gave me a slice and it was crisp on the edges and soft in the middle. Very delicious! The quiche tasted great, it was just a lot tinier portion than I anticipated. The mushrooms on the taco were very sizable portions and fried to a nice crunch. To the point: Atmosphere - great Greet - good Food - good Service - fair Cleanliness - great Would I return - only if in a group and this was the choice I unfortunately don't agree with an automatic tip! This is done because of the ordering process and the requirement to pay at the top of the meal rather than at the end and service was actually performed. The fact that all was done was the delivery of our order and not one check on the table to see how the meal was. They did come by and ask for the dishes, but didn't ask how the meal was. We tried to get in a couple times before for breakfast after seeing so many recommendations and we're thrilled we finally had the chance this morning. OH MY! I can't say enough good things about Chef Lori's restaurant! It is epic!! From the ambiance, the personalized service(everyone is amazing), the absolutely incredibly delicious food, the variety of choices.... Just the taste alone is heavenly. Hands down the best place I've had breakfast in my 61 years and we will certainly be regulars from now on.
