I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The service was disappointing--the cashier seemed like they didn't want to be there, which wasn't very welcoming. I also ordered a matcha that cost over $8, and it was surprisingly watered down and lacking flavor. While the café itself is absolutely adorable, the overall experience didn't justify the price. Sadly, I don't think it's worth a return visit.
Great spot for Japanese sandos (sandwiches)! Both hot and cold sandos are available here. Spicy Chicken Katsu Sando - Appreciated that they cut the sandwich in half for convenience. Plus triangle-cut sandwiches taste better lol. The sliced Chicken Katsu pieces were thick, juicy, and super crispy. Amazing bread too, light and spongy, with the crusts cut off. Nice additions inside - the savory sauce had just a hint of spice and the shredded cabbage was crunchy and fresh. Mango Cream Sando - the cream inside was light and airy, with subtle sweetness. Paired well with the sweet and fresh mango. Great dessert sandwich to finish off the meal. For drinks, they have a large assortment of coffee, tea, matcha, soda refresher, slush, and more. We got the Ube Cream Coffee, which was one of their popular drinks (had a star next to it on the menu). The coffee itself was super rich, like classic Vietnamese coffee. Interesting twist with the Ube Cream on top. Fluffy and cloud-like with nice Ube flavor. I'm glad they gave a lot (1/3 of cup), since it was yummy and made the drink more creamy. Love the book wall, it goes up to the ceiling with floating books too. The interior gives such cozy vibes, especially with the dark wood tables and shelves. Fast service - no wait to place my order and all my food was ready after checking out the decor. They have a small sando menu but they have mastered them well, so it's easy to pick from the short list. Lovely to grab a sandwich and coffee here to relax!

Ordered the Ebi/Shrimp Sando (loved the crispiness of the shrimp, my favorite one), Spicy Chicken Sando (nice little kick and chicken was cooked all the way through/had good flavor) and the Egg Sando (came as a cold item and eggs were creamy). The milk bread they used for the sandos were really good and soft/pillowy. Deff get the Ebi/Shrimp Sando! For a drink, I got the Pandan Cream Coffee. Strong coffee taste and the pandan cream was a salted version which balanced out the strength of the viet coffee flavor. Honestly. Pretty good sandwich. I love shredded cabbage. I think it's so underrated. Good texture. Chicken was moist. Tonkatsu sauce is always a plus. Bread was not weak and held the sandwich together together nicely. A bit on the sweeter side.
This place is located in katy nearby the 99 ranch. It used to be a kung fu tea and the interior looks the same as it was before. Their menu is pretty diverse and offer a bunch of different options. I wanted to try one of their sandwiches but I will save it for some other time. We ordered their banana cream matcha latte and strawberry matcha latte. The banana cream is more on the artificial side but I don't mind it. The strawberry matcha latte is actually pretty good maybe a little bit on the sweet side but you can still taste the matcha. I would also like to add that I like their cup size because it's a pretty decent size.
Was in Katy and stopped by Sando Satori for a quick lunch. Got the egg sando and a lychee soda. The shop is cute and cozy and it came out relatively fast. The egg sando is simple, a classic Japanese egg salad, spiced up with a soft boiled egg in the middle. I do wish the egg was a little runnier and more jammy. I also wish there was a little more salt in the egg salad. The bread was nice and soft, but also smaller than I expected? Overall, a quick and good meal. Definitely more on the expensive side. Probably not anything I'd go out of my way for but if I'm around, I'll definitely be back to try their other options!
This is a quaint little spot on South Mason Rd, between I10 and Kingsland. The food menus is limited to just a few items. But that's a good thing! Four savory sandos, four sweet fruit sandos, and a Chicken Curry Bowl. But these few offerings allow them to keep the prices in control, and present consistent quality with their items. There is a more extensive tea and beverage menu. They currently y have 2 different Sando + Matcha duo deals. The two gals behind the condo are very friendly, but they were having a lot of problems processing payments because their Internet was being very glitchy.
I stopped by for an afternoon late lunch and had a shrimp sandwich. Sadly, it wasn't a part of their combo meal. It was a bit pricy. After you order, you wait to pick up your order at the cashier area. When you are done, you bus the table yourself. It's a very casual cafe. They were very quick and the sandwich was tasty but I would had liked the bread to be warmed up too. The room has a nice study ambiance and wall plugs under the chairs. This seems to be a great place to study for a while. Next time, I'll need to try their cold sandwiches.
Sando Satori absolutely lived up to the hype. Considering everything was made fresh to order and we ordered 4 hot sandwiches plus 2 drinks, the wait time was honestly very reasonable. The drinks were fantastic. The strawberry matcha and cloud lavender matcha were perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and you could still truly taste the matcha instead of just sugar. For the food, the ebi and chicken katsu sandos were incredible. Both came out hot, crispy, and packed with flavor, while the bread was unbelievably soft and fluffy. The egg sandos were also excellent, and I loved the addition of the soft-boiled eggs because it added both great texture and presentation. The biggest surprise for me was the strawberry cream sando. That thing was AMAZING. The bread was slightly sweet and different from the hot sandos, which made it pair perfectly with the cream and strawberries. Honestly, everything was so good that we completely inhaled the food before even thinking about taking photos. Definitely one of the best sando spots I've tried, and I'll absolutely be back.
Love it when places don't charge an arm and a leg for literal sandwiches. We tried their collab at the poke shop in the heights and safe to say we will be coming to the brick and mortar to try the rest of the menu since they were out of so many things when we got there. Chicken Katsu (5/5)- chicken was crispy, juicy, tender. Sauce was delicious, bread was soft and airy, and the slaw complemented the sandwich very well. Egg sando (5/5)- the egg in combination with was very fluffy and pillowy, felt like biting into the layers of a cake, but more airy. I can't recommend this one enough. Strawberry cream (3/5)- too much bread to strawberry and cream ratio. The strawberries were sweet tho.
Shout out to Elite Yelper Sara I. for telling me about this place at her UYE. I decided to check this place out right after, as it was only 5 minutes away. Located at the end of a strip center, so the parking is shared with other businesses. There was a dumpster just next to the entrance. So there was an unpleasant smell when walking up. But I didnt let that deter me. There was only a few folks inside, so not busy at all. It's cutely decorated, with a cool 3d bookcase that looks like an art piece. It's got some cozy lounge seating for hanging out, and long tables for studying or getting work down. Service - was easy, order at the counter and wait at a table. My food came out hot, fresh out the fryer. Only waited 5 minutes. They had a good play list going. Food- I was torn between the shrimp & chicken sando. I asked for a recommendation from the server that rang me up. He said he doesn't eat much seafood, and he enjoys the chicken sando as its brinded over night with salt & sugar. The sando is made katsu style with chicken cutlet panko breadcrumbs, shredded cabbage, and a mayo style sauce, milk bread. It was decent. It's large caloric sandwhich of 700+ calories. So if your looking for a healthy option, this ain't it. They do have drinks, but I didn't try any since I had just had one. The drink menu did look appealing.

Sando Satori is a Japanese inspired sandwich shop and it is my go to in Katy, Tx. This spot has such a cozy fun vibe resembling a bookstore, as it has a shelf wall that curves up to the ceiling. Books hanging down for the ceiling. Such a vibe for anytime of the year, especially for fall as it reminds me of Harry Potter. This spot is perfect for any weather to sip some coffee and eat a sandwich. You can study or work here, they have WiFi. Spacious spot with several tables and clean. Friendly helpful service and quick. The best part is how good everything is from savory sandwich to sweet and the Vietnamese coffee is so good. I think this place is super cute and cozy. I love its simple design and charming décor. The food was delicious--from the Vietnamese coffee to the chicken sandwich. Although I didn't get to try the sweet sandwiches, I'm sure they're just as well made. Everything is prepared fresh, and you can definitely taste the quality. The only downside is that the restaurant smells like old grease, and unfortunately, you leave smelling like it too. I think better ventilation would make a big difference. Other than that, I highly recommend this place for its fresh, delicious food and cozy atmosphere. read more

Definitely have to try this place! The BEST Chicken Katsu sandwich ever. The strawberry cream is like 3/10 for me though. Just too much cream and the strawberries were too tart. But the bread on it was 10/10. The strawberry matcha drink is the drink that got me addicted to matcha. However, I will say this place is NOT cheap. Be prepared to spend $50+ on lunch for 2. read more
I liked their sandos, they make them fresh and it was a good price for the amount that you get. I also got the ube matcha which I didn't enjoy as much, I thought the matcha flavor was good but the ube foam had a weird texture that made the drink almost slimey. So if you want matcha I would recommend getting their normal matcha instead of their ube The workers were nice but I don't think their AC was working so it was really hot in the store when I went. read more
Sandi satori is a cute place to hang out or study. Inside it's designed with college algebra textbooks which is interesting. The chicken Sando was one of my top favorites. Perfectly crispy with just the right amount of veggies. The strawberry sando was good too, but the mango didn't really hit it for me. As for the drinks, the Dubai one was honestly delicious and tasting the chocolate was perfect. Everyone is super nice. I need to try the egg Sando next! read more

Amazing quality all around from the service to the drinks and the food!!! This spot replaced kungfu tea 3 months ago, so they're still gaining visibility. Please check them out!! They have an extensive menu that offers special items you can't find just anywhere! I was going to opt for the banana cream matcha latte alone, along with the katsu sando, but after seeing the Dubai chocolate matcha latte, I knew I needed to try both drinks lol. Right off the bat, the color of the matcha was very appealing & promising. I saw they hand whisk their matcha too. If you have a sweet tooth, the Dubai chocolate latte is a good choice. The "chocolate" tastes similar to Hershey's chocolate syrup, and the pistachio filling is actually really good. I got chunks of it throughout, and it reminded me of the real thing with its distinct flavor and texture. The banana cream latte was good, but I genuinely think it tastes even better when you let the banana foam seep into the drink. At first, the drink tasted like unsweetened banana milk, but as I let it sit, the flavors were marinating well lol. It had a nice balance between the banana and matcha flavors, and it's creamy! I ended up really liking this one. Now onto the food... once I received both of my drinks, I reminded the employee I was still waiting on my sando, and she politely informed me it was still being prepared as the Katsu Sandos are never premade and are always made fresh to order. I was like wow. I totally expected it to be served chilled for some reason. Then as it came out, she recommended I eat it right away, and I'm glad I did. It was extra hot. The bread is soft and the katsu is crispy and plump. Overall, the sando was super flavorful, and it wasn't dry at all. I'm excited to try their other sandos. She highly recommended the fruit ones. The interior is the same as I remember it to be. They kept the originality of it, which is neat since the bookshelf prominently contributes to their aesthetic. Very cozy and comfy. Great place to meet with friends and study or get work done. They sell handcrafted items up at the front too, making it quite personable. I'm hoping this shop gets more recognition and receives good feedback. I will definitely be a returning customer :). This business deserves all the best. Only 3 months since opening, and their quality is of the highest I've seen compared to other places. I also believe I spoke with the owner, and it was clear that customer feedback and satisfaction are truly valued. That says a lot about the business! read more

I was excited to learn that a Sando spot was opening in Katy and stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy but I didn't wait long and there was plenty of seating. They kept some of the decor of the old Kung Fu Tea while adding new touches. I got the strawberry sando and the chicken katsu. The cream of the strawberry sando wasn't too sweet but the strawberries were perfectly ripe. I appreciated that there were more cut strawberries in the back so it was very filling. The bread was fresh. The chicken was seasoned well and juicy! They really don't skimp on their sando filling! I had a small issue when picking up my order and I had to go back. The owner was so apologetic and sweet and fixed the issue right away. I really appreciate that type of service. I have to go back and try the drinks and the shrimp sando! read more

Excellent sandos. My favorite is the strawberry with regular cream. The cream is sooo delicious! The egg sandwich was a bit bland. The spicy chicken katsu is really good but got soggy way too fasts. The mixed fruits I got, seemed they were made that day bc the fruits were kind of dry. Overall still good sandos. read more
Love that we're getting more sando places to try in the Houston area! They also have tea and lattes, making this a really neat cafe with delicious food. Tried the chicken katsu sando and it was perfectly battered and crispy. The matcha tiramisu was the exact lightness I love, the cream was very airy and had the matcha taste. The ladies at the counter are very sweet and kind. I love the atmosphere and the cool "bookshelf" placed high on the wall/ceiling. I would definitely enjoy coming here to study or do work. Definitely recommend coming here to enjoy a cup of coffee and yummy sando. read more
So delicious! We got the chicken Katsu sando as well as the strawberry cream sando and they were both amazing. The Katsu one is huge, my boyfriend and I shared it and it was more than enough. The Katsu is crispy and perfect amount of mayo and sauce. The bread is also soft and airy. We also got a strawberry matcha latte which was really great as well. Everything was a 10/10. Super cute cafe - love their artsy book shelf wall. There's a fair amount of seating inside. It's a good place to hang out to chat or get work done. Good atmosphere. The customer service is great. There was only one person working and she was so friendly. She had quite a bit of orders but she was working quickly. We all enjoyed our drinks. However, my matcha latte was a kinda grainy like it wasn't mixed well enough or something. It kinda threw me off but it tasted good. I didn't get a sandwich but my husband did and he said it was really good. They have a lot of different options on their menu for their drinks and a handful of sandwich/food options. Prices are a little on the higher side. But overall, we had a good experience. I'd come here again and try other stuff. read more
Update I've now tried their Strawberry Macha Latte and the Ube matcha. The strawberry one is definitely my favorite. I think they make their strawberry syrup in house because it has bits of strawberry in it. Absolutely delicious, I'll definitely keep coming back. A sando/matcha shop that took over a pre-existing kung fu tea. Everything was pretty standard and mid. Although very aesthetic nothing was really worthwhile that would compel me to make the drive back to Katy just to come here. The Katsu sando was just a tad more special than the egg salad sandwich (very basic - peppery egg salad + soft boiled egg) but both tasted exactly like what you'd expect. The bread was fluffy and light at least. Charcoal Matcha Latte wasn't my favorite and on the lower end of my matcha list - I would stick with the sandwiches over trying the drinks They do run out of certain Sandos by the end of the day so make sure you don't wait till closing time if there's something specific you want read more
Overall a good experience. They have both hot sando, cold sando, and drinks. I got sando sandwiches to go. Chicken sando sandwich was delicious but because I drove 20 minutes before enjoying it, the bread got soggy and sticked to my teeth. However, it was the best out of the 3 sando I got. Mixed fruit sando is best served cold. It's delicious. Think of it as a mixed fruit Asian cake but even less sweet. I quite enjoyed it but wish they had added more fruits. Strawberry matcha is not bad but I would skip it next time. Matcha wasn't properly mixed so you can see and taste the matcha powder in almost every bite. Also, there's only a total of 3 strawberries - where you can mainly see the strawberries cut in the middle. The other side of the cut sandwich doesn't have any other fruits. The cold sando bread has a ham smell to it. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but not bad. They just opened and took over the former Kung Fu Tea. Plenty of parking and they do take Apple Pay. Sando are about $8-$10 so it's competitive to other locations. I would come here with a friend if we're nearby but I wouldn't say it's a good place to study since it's dark inside - it's more of a hanging out vibe. Friendly service by a young girl in the front. I'm so sad this place isn't closer to the city. I visit cinco ranch once a month and I must stop!! I get a Brazilian lemonade with my sando! I usually get the spicy chicken but have tried the other ones. Love this place! Service is great and ambience and chill and quiet. Almost like a cafe you can do work in. YIKES. Cool aesthetic, fun games but the restroom was disturbingly unsanitary and the Vietnamese coffee tasted like straight up chocolate milk. Customer service was also not too great - I asked for a different coffee (the Banana Coffee) since the Viet coffee was so bad, the woman barista argued me down and tried to defend and explain why it tasted so bad instead of offering a solution. It was my first time visiting & trying them out so I was greatly disappointed & not sure if I'll ever go back. read more

This place was absolutely such a vibe, I really liked the bookshelf wall display, and the place wasn't too crazy (as in crowded wise for my fellow people who like studying or anything). Now the best part of the place was of course the ube matcha I got (they do have alternative milk options so I got oatmilk :P) and it was superr delicious, I would say it was creamy with oatmilk and I loved the taste of the ube it does have a coconut/vanilla? flavor and the matcha on top = perfection! I also ordered a matcha cream strawberry sando (sandwich), and it was also super good I think honestly with one sandwich is good enough for one person ofc. The workers there were nice, and I bought a super cute crochet keychain for $12 and $6 since they're homemade. Overall 9.5/10 I would def come back for the ube matcha again :) read more
Hands down one of the best foodie experiences I've had recently!! The drive out to Katy was very well worth it. I had been dying to try some fruity sandos and I was definitely satisfied with it all! I tried the Egg Sando and Mango cream Sando... I enjoyed every single morsel of both sandwiches. Washed it down with a Brazilian lemonade that was so refreshing. My friend had the strawberry and the chicken Sando and said it was super hot, crispy, and delicious. She had a matcha latte with that and she said she found a good matcha for once. Service was great and fast despite the crowd that was there. The place was decorsted with a hogh schoolers nightmare of textbooks of algebra and even microsoft word!!! Very cute place. So I can definitely say this will be one of my go to spots for time to come!!! read more

Tried the chicken katsu sando and Vietnamese coffee. Both were solid! The sando was crispy, flavorful, and made for a great snack. The vietnamese coffee was super tasty too, just a heads-up that it's on the sweeter side since it's made with condensed milk (but also compared to the average person I like my coffee more on the bitter side). Cute little cafe overall and would come back. read more
