This is a great spot to grab kimbap or Korean side dishes (banchan). There's a little seating inside, but it's mainly a grab-and-go place since most of the food is already prepared. The prices are much cheaper than other kimbap spots, and they also serve bento boxes that are super good! The service is great too! Bulgogi Kimbap: The portion size is generous and filled with lots of fresh veggies. It's the classic kimbap flavor and tastes really fresh. They also have other kimbap varieties, this one is definitely my favorite. Kimchi: Their freshly made kimchi comes in different sizes. We tried the smaller one, and it was delicious! The portion is great, and it has that classic, authentic kimchi flavor. Korean Pancakes: You get a mix of chive, mung bean, and kimchi pancakes. My favorite is the kimchi one, it's packed with flavor and kimchi. It makes a great snack or side dish, and the portion and price are both amazing.

Bulgogi bento

This bento place was so good. I loved the purple rice, the egg omelet, mandoo, bulgogi, chapchae, anchovies and basically everything that was in that bento. I think the value for the price was very good. It made me very full and it was also just really delicious. The store is very small with just one table and an ordering counter. They do sell a lot of different types of Kim Chee there, too, in their big refrigerators. I highly recommend their bentos.

We love the bento boxes here. Lots of food and great variety in a very esthetically pleasing box. You just feel like you are eating something special. The shop is kind of tucked away and it takes about 10 minutes to prep the bento. La of deli items as well. We like the baked mochi with walnuts and dates as well. We got the bulgogi special bento which we thought was a great value with all the food they gave. Curious about the VIP bento for next time!

Pork bulgogi, Kalbi, Squid Bentos and Gimbap BEYOND incredible. Just wow! I didn't know this delightful little spot existed and I'm so glad a friend discovered it for us! They make these amazing huge loaded Korean bentos with every delicious little treat you can imagine. And the bulgogi and kalbi were so flavorful and tender and perfectly done. I'm obsessed with all the sides--everything hit! Each box also comes with a few pieces of gimbap, but we also ordered a couple rolls extra on the side, all of which was amazing! It's funny but our overall favorite bite of the box was the little brick dessert thing--I have no idea what it was, but it's this little spongy cake like thing with red bean and nuts in it and it was just so good I would totally buy pounds of it! So excited to keep coming here and trying more things!

Another late review but had takeout. I got the galbi lunch set. It came with a large amount of side dishes including slices of rolled egg, japchae, mandu, and some other banchan. A little pricy but mostly fair for the portion size. It sounds like they make most of their boxes to order because after I ordered, they asked that I return in 20 minutes. The store is small but has multiple refrigerators full of banchan and while I was waiting to order, several older Korean grandparents walked in and grabbed more kimchi jars than I thought possible to carry by one's self. I didn't super like the soup but overall, everything was fairly tasty. The packaging was also very neat and functional. There's so many great options in Carrollton that getting to try a real small business was definitely worth the wait.

Beautiful bento boxes! This place is not very pescatarian friendly - there is a squid option but some of the other items like the dumpling, japchae, and soup have meat in them. Despite that, there is an amazing variety of dishes within the bento itself.

Absolutely loved stumbling onto this gem of place looking for lunch! I got the larger version of a bulgogi bento box. The price was beyond fair for all of the food. I mentioned my stomach was feeling off so couldnt eat anything super spicy and they told me they added some things in the box to help. It definitely did help and was super tasty! So points for kind and genuine service, wonderful food, and a great price point. Please bring this to Austin!

Great place to get a quick meal to go. The food was fresh, hot, and authentic. Got the bento box with the $4 upgrade for Galbi. The seaweed soup that came with the meal really hit the spot.

If you see this, get it! It's like mochi with nuts. Called TDOK I think

I love the owner. She's super sweet. I came in three times in one week and she was giving me samples to try. I usually get the galbi bento, it's $3 extra but you get so much food. Menu is lacking and not straight forward but your options are regular of special (with soup and an extra side). Regular bento is $14.99. My galbi bento usually comes out to be $17.99. The special is $19.99. Both are worth it!

5 stars for Bapdoduk's Bulgogi Bento Box! We ate in the car because there's no dining area, but it was still amazing! The beef was so tender and flavorful, and the rice and kimchi were perfect. It was a lot of food and looked great too. This is the best Korean food I've had so far. I highly recommend it!!!

Delicious bento boxes! We get the bulgogi with soup. My husband loves this place. It makes him nostalgic for Seoul.

It was the epitome of small but mighty, serving up classic high quality Korean dishes in what felt like a pocha style establishment with excellent service. Now that word has gotten out, there are numerous visitors from all over and they've made some slight adjustments that have taken it a notch down for me and others. This includes the hiking of prices (#1) and the introduction of non-Korean staff to appease many non-Korean patrons. The latter has had more mishaps than the previous wait staff, but the mistakes are quickly remedied with swift adjustments. They even updated their awning with a much bolder "금수저" (golden spoon) awning. Food wise, it also feels like there has been a change as well. The soondubu went up a solid $3 and the mandoo fillings have been skimpy as of late. I also feel the banchan has been more limited than the past with only a handful of dishes than the variety from before. I also wish they kept their old late night hours before as well, but that's only reserved for Friday and Saturday. I still think Gold Spoon is worth a visit, but I do long for the version from before and hope they can revert back to how they earned their accoladed in the first place. ___________ (#1) Foodflation back at it again

I absolutely love their scorched rice, which you really can't get anywhere else tbh. Business is always booming here, even on slow days. I've come here on both a random weekday and a weekend, and there's always people no matter what. But don't worry, they clean immediately the moment you walk out that door, so there's no wait time. Everyone eats here. EVERYONE. Korean families, foreigners, youngins who love Korean culture, high school students, the diversity is insane. That's how you know it's good when it's appealing to both Koreans and foreigners.

We had full meals with no rice. No drink menu brought despite the request. Service worsened after my white husband left. The remaining of us were Black. When we finished the meal they kept throwing open and closing the curtains of our booth and tossing in and removing chopstick boxes. I was finishing an interview with a business associate, so we didn't want to leave just yet. No one was waiting for the table and seats were empty. I said please and thank you in Korean multiple times with no eye contact or acknowledgement. BCD Tofu house tastes better and treats me far better. I used to order carryout and Uber Eats from Cho Dang Village without incident, but now I am guessing they thought I was a driver, not a customer.

Incredibly high quality cuts of beef, slow simmered potatoes, chewy/fresh rice cakes, and fresh delicious vegetables and green onions. The brown gravy/sauce was delicious. Even though it was busy, people ate in silence and enjoyed their food. They keep it ice box cold, so definitely bring a layer if you get chilly! A bit of a wait for the food but totally worth it. We love that the utensils are in a box on the table and pitcher of water and cups are brought to the table. The food is amazing.
