I am writing this review because this facility needs to make some MAJOR improvements. The call…read morecenter is quite literally the worst, they will pretend they cannot hear you and hang up on you I know it's a lie because this is something common in call centers. I have worked in a call center position and know how things go in the medical field. I have tried both leaving messages on my chart and calling to get ahold of providers, I had an u/s for my head and never got a call just a text from my provider, no follow up was offered and I had to mention what I thought would be the next step and never got a response till MONTHS later when I called to schedule a separate apt and was told I would need another visit to get said requested order; even though I was seen for this problem prior, still having concerns and no answers, if you'd like effective and efficient care do not come here and save yourself time. Additionally the first time I came here my provider was on maternity leave and there was a weird male working who was telling me not to get married, not to get pregnant and then proceeded to tell me about his foreign wife and commenting about my looks and offered a Pap smear same day LOL. THIS FACILITY NEEDS PROFESSIONALS.

She wanted to hear about each of the kids' medical histories, asked pertinent questions and gave us specialist recommendations to transfer care from our old providers in CT to FL. She is clearly very compassionate and takes the time to get to know you and your kids. I'm so glad we found her!

We have been with this practice for 7 years, and leaving is incredibly disappointing. Dr. Arrington…read moreand Caitlin have always been excellent--attentive, thorough, and truly caring since my son was a newborn. They are the only reason we stayed as long as we did. However, since the practice was taken over by Pedatrica, the front office has significantly declined. The staff is consistently rude, condescending, and lacks basic professionalism and respect toward patients and families. The final straw was a recent interaction with a staff member at the St. John's location regarding a payment arrangement. After one missed call and a payment less than a week late, I was spoken to in a scolding, disrespectful tone and told I was "making her job harder." When my son's grandmother called back to make the payment, she was treated just as poorly--spoken down to instead of being helped. There is a complete lack of courtesy and patient respect, which is unacceptable in any healthcare setting--especially pediatrics. Before making the decision to leave and remove my son from this practice, I emailed the office two weeks ago to address these concerns and received no response. It is likely there will be a generic reply here asking me to email a practice manager--however, that effort has already been made, and the lack of follow-up speaks for itself. It is unfortunate that one staff member and a declining front office experience have driven us away after 7 years. Families deserve to be treated with respect, not talked down to. We will not be returning.

I remember when this was a great pediatrician with just Dr. Reddy. When I could call and get…read moresomeone to answer. When I could actually see Dr. Reddy. When Dr. Reddy knew my child's name. When Dr. Reddy did house visits for newborns. When I could do my med check the same time as another reason for a visit. Automated system, can't even get someone to answer the phone or call you back. They ask about your child's eating habit, so they can bill for nutrition. Everything is done for a billing code, nothing is done because it is convenient or because they care. Don't think you can go for a well visit and ask to do your 3 month med check at the same time. Different billing codes, different visit. 30 min to get there, 1 hour to get in and out, 30 min home---waste of time. My older daughter, had enough, left for a regular family practice.

I visited the Hodges location this morning for care. However, after the greeting and interaction I…read morehad with the front desk employee, I opted to cancel my appointment due to lack of confidence in this facility. Not only did the person at the front desk infer (and directly state) I was fighting with her because I questioned the charge, her lack of knowledge about the insurance process made me feel uncomfortable with the competence of the front office staff -- and potentially the doctors -- at this facility. When I mentioned my concerns, she said she was new and had been trained to say this to patients who questioned the charge. She said she didn't want to fight with me about this, which I found disconcerting as I was not fighting. I just asked why I was being charged when my deductible had been met. She explained that my individual deductible had been met, but not my family one. I questioned this interpretation, as this is not how the deductible is defined, based on my experience and my visits to other health care providers. She repeated that she was not going to fight with me, then in a curt tone, she said I would be getting a bill from my insurance company. The term "fighting" along with her attitude toward me -- and what this said about the quality of care I might receive at this location -- made the decision to find care elsewhere an easy one. And I left.
