Had a pretty average experience earlier today. Ordered the cardamom bun, tahini latte, Roman pizza and bar snack (olive oil chips with fried fava beans.) I think I was coming in with super high expectations since they're featured in Michelin guide. The slice of sourdough pizza was actually the best out of everything I ordered, but it was more of focaccia then pizza and I think it should be labeled as such. Coffee was ok, the bun was a little stale and bar snack was just prepackaged chips (boulders ) mixed with prepackaged fried favas. I'm not sure but maybe the place is more geared towards alcohol drinkers since most of the menu is alcohol beverages and there isn't much food on the menu. However, for people like myself who are more interested in the food itself, it was very average. I'm giving 4 starts because decor was actually really cool and interesting. The place has a potential if they worked on their menu a bit more

Omelette, pizza, Caesar salad and "simple " toast which was anything but simple!

What a wonderful new spot in town. The Caesar salad salad was fantastic. The omelette was so unique and delicious. The pizza was made with homemade dough and ingredients. We also had fantastic wines by the glass and they have quite an assortment of beer as well. Check it out, but don't tell the tourists

Wow! Great new bar/café. I had a Gruner Veltliner ('fresh' Austrian white wine) with the Pizza al Taglio (today's potato & onion); Roasted veggies in a chili garlic sauce -- topped off with a cardamom bun! ALL were delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully served. There are nice accessories, books & wine for sale and the menu has MANY coffee choices as well. Nice seating and exceptionnally nice cocktail music with great service. I look forward to returning with friends next week. Happy Hour! Beer & Aperitivos too.

Cute and quaint. This place is like a piece of Italy in the middle of St Augustine. The coffee was SO tasty!

(This is exciting for someone who is all this stressed out about parking, lol) We made reservations the morning of the branch and we were able to be accommodated. We were promptly seated when we arrived. Our server, Nina, was polite, attentive and patient with all our questions. She even gave us advice when we asked about some local areas to go check out after the meal. We sat indoors, though they were available outdoor options for seating. The decor was well done and seems pretty classy. The food was fantastic! We tried the deviled eggs, raw oysters with datil hot sauce, and escargot. I tried one of the off menu omelette selections, which was expertly made. We also tried the bouillabaisse and Branzino. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also tried the lavender crème brûlée, pot de creme and Paris -Brest. We thoroughly enjoyed those desserts! I will highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion. The quality of the food was excellent, and as such, I will return.

We had heard and read a lot of good things so we decided to give La Nouvelle a try. Very quaint and well appointed dining area - bistro vibes. They have a wrap around outside patio as well as part of their dining area but it's June in Florida so we made reservations for inside to not take any chances. The menu isn't huge, so check it out before deciding to dine here as I believe it can change regularly. My French onion soup was fantastic. If you don't order the petite baguettes, you're doing yourself a disservice. This is probably a top 3 bread experience for me. Crusty airy perfection. I went with the duck confit as I don't have many opportunities to order such a dish with the places we dine. The execution was solid - crispy and tender, flavorful, and accompanied by duck fat potatoes and red wine braised grapes. Extensive wine options along with beer but no liquor license. Our server Jessie was friendly and attentive while not overbearing.

She screamed at me as I tried to open up the refrigerator to get a cooled Sauvignon Blanc, not seeing the aggressive sign it was ONLY for the worker to touch the wine. Then she screamed at my daughter looking at an umbrella. Talk about anger issues! This shop was the exact opposite experience. I was greeted upon walking in, offered assistance to pick out wine and the owner engaged with my daughter. I was so much happier to spend my money here vs Fort Alley. I ended up getting some Italian reds, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and some wines from my Paso Robles in Southern California, one of my favorite wine regions. I was hoping to get some Prosciutto but the shop was all out. The shopkeeper explained there was a rush from customers and she didn't get her regular order in. It was completely understandable. And appreciated her sharing why it wasn't available rather than being dismissive like at the previous wine shop I was at over at Fort Alley. I am so glad I came to this shop. I come to St. Augustine often to visit my family and I'll be back.
