Firenze Ristorante Toscano & Bar is located inside Eataly; you can see it located in the rear of the La Pizza & La Pasta. We came here after our meetings and wanted to wind down with a drink. Besides the menu offering of little bites and the Eataly's usual drink selection, we asked the bartender if he could create other cocktails for us - I ended up getting a mojito of some sort that tasted similar to a margarita; it was more on the sour end and lime heavy, but still refreshing enough. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and we had a nice and a relaxing time - it's a small space, so it's more intimate. I highly recommend in sitting up at the bar, rather than the tables. Reservations aren't required, and it's open beginning at lunch. +friendly service +located in the rear of La Pizza & La Pasta

I am a die hard Eataly lover. They have the best tiramisu ever and I love all their food. Overall, Firenze quality and taste is just like La Pizza La Pasta, which is a bit disappointing. And similar to all of the Eataly restaurants, I noticed that their pasta is not cooked al dente as of late. It's actually undercooked. Like how do you undercook spaghetti? I just don't like my pasta hard.. I think most people would agree. Their bread is hard too. I didn't like this particular olive oil which was smoky/burnt in flavor and $25/bottle. I prefer the one they use at La Pizza La Pasta. However, the recipes are quite nice. My favorite item today was the Insalata Di Mare aka seafood salad. The seafood was steamed to perfection and paired perfectly with potatoes celery and greens. Yes there's more seafood than veggies! The spaghetti con vongole e zucchine was delicious. It contained bottarga which is trout roe.. a bit sour but nice and a unique ingredient for me. I wish the spaghetti was cooked well though. Clams were super fresh! My spinach and ricotta ravioli was the most basic item and it was delicious. Ya girl loves tomatoes. But again, the 4 pieces of ravioli was undercooked.

We loved the atmosphere, food, views, drinks, and store at this restaurant. The food was so good! I had the gnocchi and it was delicious. I also got the flight of wine and it was amazing! Everything was delicious.

Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. Our waitress was fabulous and so friendly, great with timing and checking in!

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. Can't really recommend Split Eights over other cocktail bars around.

Our cocktails were delicious, music was on point, service didn't feel rushed at all. I was feeling adventurous and asked for a boozy gin-based cocktail.. loved it! My friend really enjoyed her drink as well. At $19 per cocktail, it's not the cheapest in the area, but also not the priciest either. Would absolutely recommend Split Eights to anyone looking for craft cocktails in the area.
