I've been to Trinity Place countless times. Usually I am here for organized happy hours, so mostly drinks. I do find this place to be a bit overpriced. I went for the first time to actually have lunch. The food was okay. The lunch menu is small (not many options), so I got the burger. It came with potatoes which were good, but the burger was underseasoned. The dining room was very cozy and quiet. It was perfect for relaxing conversation over dinner with friends or a significant other. The vault really gave the space a lot of character. The service from Charlotte, our waitress was top notch. I informed the restaurant that a person in our party had a health condition and they truly took care of us. Charlotte patiently answered all of our questions and took our orders. She refilled our glasses with water, checked in with us periodically. The table service guy was a perfect gentlemen, cleared our table, brought our food and even took a great picture for us! And of course, the food was very good. My scallops were soft and not overcooked. The rest of the dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. My girlfriend loved her steak and veggies. The duck leg confit risotto looked amazing. The duck leg was quite sizable. One of my friends requested chicken as the menu options did not appeal to her and she ended up really enjoying her plate. The desserts were so good! The crème brûlée was thick , custard-like and had a lovely crusty crisp torched top. The trio of sorbet was coconut, mango and raspberry. The natural flavors were really bursting through. The coconut tasted like cream of coconut. The British dessert - Sticky Toffee Pudding stole the show. Soft, sweet and decadent yet still more flavorful than sweet. Different - yet so good. On a recent visit to the financial district we journeyed to the Trinity Place, a basement restaurant in an old vault. We were seated in the bar area which was very loud but had a great view of the safe door and the vault entry. I ordered the Gorgonzola Ravioli. It was three ravioli in a cream sauce. The flavor was strong and very tasty but became overwhelming after the second ravioli. My wife ordered the Duck Leg Risotto. It was listed as confit but it came out crispy. The risotto had squash pieces and was very good. The food was fine. The drinks weren't bad, but they weren't overly creative or mind-blowing. But the staff and management was AMAZING! So how did we get here? I made a last minute reservation on OpenTable on a Thursday night. I got there and the host tells me this was a mistake; that the app allowed me to reserve a table that was not available. He calls the manager, who tells me the back room has been prepared for an event, and somehow I was mistakenly able to reserve a table in this space. They were absolutely packed, so also keep that in mind when you make the decision to come here as well . . . it's in FiDi, so a lot of business people clogging the bar area for after-work drinks. Anyway . . . the manager went out of her way to make a place for me. I ended up sitting in a back corner in the event space (it didn't start until an hour and a half after my reservation). She actually apologized over and over about my "child in solitary" dining situation, but I think it worked out great! I was away from the crowd and the noise, and service was still really attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. I had the petite filet medallions served with broccolini and gruyere potato gratin. The medallions were cooked appropriately, medium as I asked, and weren't bad. Maybe a little more seasoning? The broccolini was charred perfectly and had just the right amount of crunch. The potatoes were pretty bland though. I had the New York cheesecake with Nilla wafer crust. It was pretty good! They also have cavatelli, ricotta ravioli, duck leg confit risotto, ahi tuna, scallops, blackened salmon, a wagyu burger. They have apps like charcuterie and cheese boards, pate, salads, tartare. They have a bar menu as well. Prices are moderate for New York. I had a few cocktails. Sweater Weather (dark rum, apple, maple, walnut, ginger)--a fall selection. I had the pearfect pearl (grey goose, pear, rosemary, ginger, lime). This was probably the cleanest and most refreshing. And then the people's margarita (blanco, lime, pineapple, agave). They also didn't rush me as people started to arrive (I was still out before the event started, but they didn't even ask me to leave). The decor here is pretty cool too. It's in an old bank vault. I stopped in for happy hour. The bar area was fairly busy with the after work crowd. Service was great! The HH rose' wine was surprisingly good. It's not a large HH menu so I ordered food from the bar menu. The tuna tostadas were delicious. A decent amount of tuna for the price but a small portion. The tuna was very fresh. I couldn't get enough of the chipotle mayo. Perfect compliment to the dish. For an appetizer, the flavors were perfectly balanced. I will definitely be back. I had booked a reservation here for dinner with my mom and stepdad as they are visiting New York City for the first time. I wanted to take them to a place where they could get a decent steak or burger and that wasn't too awfully pricey. I had done some research and it seemed this place fit the bill and also had a unique I'll beyond being in a bank vault. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and we were seated in the bar area, it didn't look like the back dining room was open yet. Next time I would probably wait for a later reservation as trying to sit in the bar area and have a dinner was not a good idea. It was so obnoxiously loud in there with all of the after work crowd that we could not hear each other. My mother ended up super frustrated that we could not speak during our meal. The food was just OK, they said the fillet was very nice. The coq au vin really lacked flavor and my mahi was just OK. I really like seafood and I liked the variety of veggies in the broth, but it was just somewhat bland. the pricing wasn't too bad, my husband and my bill totaled about $100 before tip. I had one glass of wine and my husband had two beers. The service was really good. Food came out promptly so all of that was great. read more

I have been to this place on a few occasions. Both times I have enjoyed! The place has history. It is an old bank in the fidi. They have great bar if you just want to go for drinks. They also have very good food if looking for lunch or dinner. I went for a business lunch and the atmosphere was perfect. I enjoyed the food as well. Also went out for drinks a couple of times. What a great find in the Financial District! I actually just Googled places near WTC and came upon this historic and iconic restaurant. Set in an old vault with so much character and romance, this is a great spot for a company affair or just catching up for drinks. The food is really good with good portions. I decided to try this place on my first ever trip to NYC. It was very good. They are housed inside of an old bank building and they keep a lot of the feel from that. They have an old bank vault when you walk in that lights up different colors. For my meal I had the cheeseburger. I didn't see anything else I really liked on the menu so I decided to play it safe. Hi- Went to Trinity post Wall St. Run/walk as it was continently located to the end of the race Had a 8:15 dinner reservation , when we got there the front area was PACKED, and so loud. (possibly since it's in an old bank) The hostess asked if we wanted a quieter space and took us all the way in the back. It wasn't that quiet- there was a group seated next to us of about ~25 and loud. Food was okay - nothing was OMG! Have to come back here. BEWARE OF THE RESTAURANT Trinity Place "THE VAULT BAR" in New York City On the evening of October 16, 2025, my boyfriend and I (both African American) visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, it was apparent that we were not treated with the same level of attention or respect as other guests. Several tables around us--primarily Caucasian patrons--were greeted promptly, served quickly, and checked on regularly. In contrast, we waited an unreasonably long time just to have our order taken. When our food finally arrived, it was not hot. At no point during our meal did anyone check in with us, and we felt ignored for the entirety of our visit. The contrast in service was too obvious to dismiss, and it left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Dining out should never make anyone feel as though their presence is an inconvenience. No guest should experience unequal treatment--especially in a space meant to be welcoming and inclusive. We truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to ensure that all guests are treated with equal dignity, respect, and care--regardless of race. read more

It is a lot of fun to eat inside old bank vault. You can think of what was happening there before... really an admirable setting. Met friend for lunch there. We started with tartar duo, salmon and tuna tartar, which was very tasty. We also god burrata which was good but maybe a bit on a dry side. My friend's main dish was clam chowder which she said was tasty. I got Cuban sandwich, and was a bit surprised with what I received. The sandwich was made with a a very crusty baguette and pulled pork, something really untraditional as much as I know. It would be okay, but pulled pork was over-salted to almost the pain point. I like dining inside bank vaults. They're pretty and brassy and make me feel like I live in a Broadway production. But they're also kind of gimmicky, so I was expecting Trinity Place to be a hollow experience of superficial beauty. Not so. The food was surprisingly ample and well made. The onion tart appetizer was an enormous slice. My Fettucine could've fed two. The NYC Cheesecake was fit for four. In fact, all of us were stuffed but satisfied by the end of our meals, and several of us took home leftovers. Also, for the non-drinkers, they have a nice selection of four mocktails that are quite tasty. Try the Charlie Cherub for something bright, or the Sober Spritz for bubbly. Service was quick and friendly, and we were seated in the innermost dining room right across from one of the vault doors. The decor is old school NYC gorgeousness that can only be found in FiDi restaurants. The drawback of that, though, is there's little soundproofing--so if you're stuck across a raucous party of 20-something FiBros and FiBabes racking up dinero on their expense cards, be prepared to shout to be heard by the rest of your group. read more

I came here randomly for lunch, I really wanted some clam chowder. I believe you many need reservations for dinner. The restaurant itself is BEAUTIFUL. Being inside of the old vault was really cool, this is a good place for a romantic dinner. The service was great, no complaints. The menu is relatively small, one page for appetizers and one for entrees. The clam chowder was good but was overfilled with potatoes. I wish it had more "broth" and clams but, it did the job. The portion itself was also pretty small but, the soup (the only one offered) is an appetizer. Overall, I will come back to try more things. read more

I came here for a business lunch but I can also see this is a good spot for a romantic date night. A cute spot that's known for it being an old bank vault. Slightly gimmicky but you can't deny that that's interesting. I was nervous that the food wouldn't be great and that the restaurant relied solely on its ambiance, but I was pleasantly proved wrong. The salmon was really delicious. It had some sort of curry sauce on it that made it taste quite unique. I'm very happy with that dish. I also had the salad, which was not nearly as impressive. They really skimp on the dressing, so it felt like I was just eating straight up lettuce with some gratings of cheese. The cheesecake was also pretty good for dessert. Nothing amazing, but still tasty! I heard the sticky toffee dessert was much better though. I'd go for that next if I am to go again. In addition, I know this place has a pretty decent happy hour. I didn't try it but maybe next time. Staff was very accomodating, too. My work team went for a dinner and they were very flexible with reserving seating for 15+ of us.
