First time at this quaint downtown Italian restaurant. Hidden at 5 Gold St, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. The waitstaff was all dressed professionally and the place reminded me of a restaurant from the past. Pristine white tablecloths, professional table settings, & a detailed menu with everything your stomach might desire. I'm gluten free so I enjoyed the olive and cheese plate. I also had a delicious organic salad as an appetizer. My main course was salmon. I would have opted for a sauce on side, but did not ask. I was not crazy about the salmon but in an Italian restaurant I should have opted for gf pasta but was not in the mood. Dessert was tartufo and very enjoyable. I was with a very big party. If I had to make any adjustment I thought the main courses portions were small. Other than that service, food, & ambiance were all on point. I would dine there again.

Top notch FiDI Italian restaurant that delivers on all fronts. Overall setting creates an ambiance that appeases requirements for an elegant but traditional Italian setting. Food - everything from appetizers to main dish delivers with tasteful traditional and fusion flavors. Lamb chops were cooked perfectly with spinach to complement. Drinks are delicious and robust while wine selection is adequate to meet all taste buds. Only subpar item were desserts, which did not deliver and lacked the punch expected. Service was amazing and added the key value to make a special night. Recommend for any occasion.

This is such a wonderful restaurant. One of my colleagues has been going to Giardino D'oro's for over 20 years and he had brought me to this restaurant for dinner one evening on a Thursday night at around 5:00 P.M. We were one of the first customers inside. As soon as we were greeted, it felt like we were family at Giardino D'oro. We sat at one of the tables on the first level. The team member whom was assisting us provided us waters immediately and went over the specials on the menu. There was so many delicious items to choose from! It was difficult! The ambiance of this restaurant is nice. It's a great spot for a special occasion. After reviewing the menu we had ordered the following Appetizer: Eggplant Rolatine: Rolled with prosciutto & fontina served in a light pink sauce $14.50 Salad special: Parmesan, tomatoes Entrees: Spaghetti ala Carbonara $28.95 Veal Chop served with roasted potato $48.00 Dessert: Cheesecake All of the food was delicious! My colleague enjoyed the eggplant rolatine and the salad was scrumptious! I had the Spaghetti ala carbonara and it was quite different than a carbonara I would get at other restaurants. It had onions in it, but it was still phenomenal! I ended up eating the entire dish! The cheesecake was good. We spent about an hour and a half at the restaurant. The experience was wonderful! Too bad there is not a Giardino D'oro in Las Vegas!

    Special of the day Fish

Excellent service as we felt welcomed and the staff took care of us. The inside was beautiful and made the ambiance great! Had great little appetizer at the beginning which included bread and salami and cheese. Order the special of the days that were well priced for the menu. Had 2 additional fish options. Reservations are recommended but they were kind enough to squeeze us in. For tourists I would recommend trying it even if you feel underdressed as exploring the city deserves a great meal. I recommend!

Hello fellas your foodie yelp reviewer Susan here! Today my family and I stopped at Giardino D'oro which is a gem downtown manhattan. I ordered the prosciutto platter which came with Burrata, basil, tomatoes, and grilled peppers. Absolutely delicious. The main courses we ordered included penne, à la vodka with grilled chicken, homemade parpadelle with Bolognese, chilean Seabass with mushrooms, asparagus and arugula, salad with tomatoes, onions, feta cheese, and slices of almonds. All the food here was SPECTACULAR . I highly recommend. Lighting and music soothing and service was exceptional. And let's not forget the wine, very delicious Cabernet. And lastly, there is parking in every corner. You know what time it is! Happy Hour - your foodie yelper Susan

Hidden Italian gem. There was no wait time. Upon walking in we were immediately seated. The food did not take long . Everything tasted super fresh and it was very good. If you're looking for a chill Italian spot this is the one to check out!

Hey ! - want to feel special even though most likely your mother is the only one that thinks you are ??? lol jk ( come to this place) :). Honestly the food was delicious , I had the Branzino filet (with white wine and capers ) delish ! What was also next level was the bolognese pasta dish ! Our service was excellent because of a gentleman named Benny . He was attentive and his recommendations were spot on. This is a gem if you want an old school Italian vibe with amazing food and service . It's not cheap but totally worth it - if I was an Italian gangster in the 60's this is where I would want to be killed after I finished my bolognese . Not Rao's :) Also don't sleep on the desert and espresso martini ( very very good )

Wanted to try this place because of good reviews near my workplace. Overall the dining experience was ok. Service was not that good. It took forever to get my pasta. Food was okay but expected better taste. We ordered burrata, pasta, entree and cheesecake. Cheesecake was tasty, though. Ambiance of the restaurant was lively with customers.

There's something about New York and Italian restaurants. Maybe because it seems like they are everywhere. And they are! Well, it doesn't matter because I happen to love Italian food. I even love exploring them in other cities outside of my hometown of Chicago, Illinois. And that I did! Accompanied by my colleagues, I traveled by ferry to Wall Street in order to partake in a delicious meal at Giardino D'oro. It was about 30 of us from various cities and states and we had appetites that were ready to take over New York City. We hoped they were ready for us, and they were! We had buffet style dining where the servers encouraged you to try everything from the pasta, to the chicken piccata, even to the desserts; there was something for everyone's palate. I did try a little of everything which paired very nicely with red wine. If you are native to New York, work in the financial district, a trader, an investment banker, or visiting from a destination outside of NYC, don't pass up having an intimate dinner at this Italian restaurant. The food is great with an amazing wine list. The atmosphere is intimate, and the servers welcome you to a wonderful dining experience!

    Great Caesar salad

Great restaurant. The waiters are respectful, knowledgeable and polite. The service was quick and seamless. The food was delicious and well presented. The ambiance is very Provence. Unfortunately I only took 2 photos but considering that I'll be coming back soon, I will add more photos next time.

While location scouting in FIDI, I decided to grab a bite. The sautéed broccoli and VERY dirty Hendricks Martini were both fantastic choices. The broccoli was perfectly cooked and seasoned, while the gin drink hit the spot. Looking forward to coming back for dinner!

The energy in the restaurant was a lot more vibrant than I expected, and honestly, the excitement from everyone around us added to the overall experience. To drink, I ordered the Caribbean Mule. It was refreshing, flavorful, and definitely packed a little punch. A solid cocktail that got the night started right. For food, we ordered the beef fried rice and chicken wontons. The beef fried rice was delicious and came in a generous portion size, making it easy to share. The chicken wontons were also well prepared and packed with flavor. The standout dish for me, though, was the ginger beef noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the beef was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily my favorite item of the night and something I'd order again without hesitation. Service was another bright spot. The staff was attentive throughout the evening, and our servers were always quick to help whenever we needed anything. Even with the restaurant being busy, they stayed on top of everything. The one disappointment was the truffle fries. I've had better truffle fries at small neighborhood spots. They lacked both the flavor and presentation I'd expect from a restaurant at this price point, especially compared to how strong the rest of the meal was. Overall: Brooklyn Chop House delivered a fun atmosphere, great service, and some standout dishes. Between the energy of the crowd, the ginger beef noodles, and the attentive staff, it was a memorable experience. Just skip the truffle fries and put that money toward another appetizer or cocktail.

We sat at the bar in corner seats by the window. There are probably about ten to twelve seats at the bar, and the large bar seats were quite comfortable. We made it in time for happy hour (Monday through Friday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM) and ordered espresso martinis ($10 each) along with one of the happy hour bar bites, the $10 wings. We were heading to a show starting in about 30 minutes, and our server kindly expedited the wings. The drinks were made promptly as well. The espresso martinis were great, and the wings were tasty. This is a strong option for a pre-theater drink in the area, especially if you can take advantage of happy hour.

He helped us make the right selection of steak, and appetizer. We were seated with a nice view of the outside promenade. At first glance the dining room didn't seem large but on the trip to the restroom I learned that they can accommodate large groups and have private rooms as well. Restroom was clean and equipped. We ordered the crab cake, 12 oz. filet mignon and lamb chops, and the lemon cake. The crab cake was chocked full of delicious crab meat, not a lot of breading. The steak was flavorful and arrived hot. The double-bone lamb chop entree was enormous, and delicious. It was accompanied by parsnip puree and a mint-pistachio chimichurri, scrumptious!! For my pre-birthday dessert I chose the lemon cake and was delighted to see Gerard had also brought [ME ;) ] us the strawberry Hibiscus cheesecake and I was so happy he did!!! The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.
