Don't bother going to this place if you are a visitor to Texas or the USA, most places in the Lone Star state are more than welcoming to out of state visitors but Bar Louie will not serve you a beer to f you're not from Texas. The mgmt in this location needs a swift kick in arse when it comes to customer service. For such a great location it's a shame they have hired such a crew of incompetent nincompoops to run their facility. Service people are nice and kind but the shift managers need a swift kick in the head from an ole blue mule to smarten them up. If the US government accepts out of state or out of country ID you'd think a shift manager with a tenth grade education would as well to get you a beer! Quite a shame let this place sink if the owners are so stupid to hire such incompetent Shit birds!! read more

So surprised that there is a Bar Louie here now! It seemed to have gone up over night! We had one in Austin and we loved it. So this place does a dirty martini Strooooong. Which is not a bad thing but I hope for a little more dirty.. they told us they do $5 burger night on Tuesdays which is not bad, but still higher than whey it was once dollar burger night. Came in today to celebrate Father's Day and everything was perfect. Our server Samantha was absolutely wonderful and timely with everything for us and we were able to get in and out with no problems. That burger with the special sauce on the side is to die for!! read more

Currently sitting here having some of the worst service ever. Between the guys smoking and blowing it at our table, our server taking forever to bring our food, the bush league cocktails and lack of shade for outdoor seating and I am starting to not like Bar Louie anymore. They need better staff and management. Who knows if our food will ever get here?! UPDATE: while we were still here (and within a few minutes of my review) the manager did come over an apologize for the service and issues. They blamed it on it being Cinco DeMayo but the restaurant wasn't super packed. They offered to give us a free dessert but we weren't interested in dessert. Would have preferred our an entree get comped or something. Most frustrating was this being two times in a row we have had issues here which stinks because we really like the food and most of the time cocktails are on point. Went to Bar Louie for the first time with my sis-n-law, we loved that it was a open area to eat inside and out, the music was good too, we enjoyed the night laughing, eating good food with a magnificent server! We went in as a group of 4 for a late lunch. It was around 2:30pm on a Tuesday, and we were literally the only people there eating at a table. There were a handful of people drinking/ eating at the bar, and one table of men drinking. Despite how empty the place was, our food took ages to arrive, and when it finally did, we were all disappointed. For one, none of us knew what "giardiniera" was, so when my niece received her pepperoni flatbread, she was disappointed to see all of the random vegetables on it and refused to eat it. That was our fault, but I wish the waiter would have made that clear when she ordered it. We ordered the Honey chicken sandwich with no pickles, and as you can see, they put nearly a whole jar of them on there. The waiter only came to check on us once, and I had to go looking for him to get the check. Over half the food we ordered went to waste. If it wasn't for the cheap drinks and extensive menu (the food looked good and it wasn't just bar bites) I would give this place 0 stars. Me and my cousin were looking for a place to grab drinks after dinner and decided on this bar since it was close to the restaurant. From the moment we arrived the place seemed totally disorganized. People were stumbling out super drunk and throwing up in the parking lot. There was no hostess at the stand and we weren't sure if it was self-seating as there were no signs anywhere. After a few minutes of waiting, we decided to just grab a table. Every table was a mess and there were no napkins so we went to the bar to grab some. It then took about 10 minutes before our waitress came over. She was actually friendly but after she gave us the menus she never returned. It was a Thursday night around 11 pm so not late at all. We ended up just getting our drinks from the bar. The bartender was super rude. After we already had our drinks she finally returned but at that point we were over it. We spent about 40 minutes in total and half of that time was spent trying to get decent service. Needless to say, we had one drink and left. read more

I went with my family last night and decided to sit at the bar. Upon arriving we sat down and instantly the Bartender comes up to us saying "can I see yalls ids" . First off did no one teach you manners at your interview? Not even a "hey welcome in how's yall night going" NOTHING. I then replied with "oh we're not going to be drinking" & then she starts tapping on the table saying "no it's a bar if you want to sit here I need to see some ID" . My sister was coming back from the restroom so she didn't know what was going on. I then told her "she needs our ids" then the bartender proceeded to say "yea but if not yall can go sit at the table" Baby did I say I wanted to sit at the table? So I responded with "no I'm good ima sit right here I got you tho here's my ID". It's like she was wanting to catch an attitude with my sisters and I because we're tall and gorgeous , sorry! Right off the bat we could tell she hated her job, or just was a angry person overall. Her service and face and body language made us so uncomfortable we left after 30 minutes after eating. Not once did she ask us if we needed silverware. No napkins , and didnt ask us if we wanted any refills. My sister had to ask her for one and when we would ask her "may I get a refill" she'd shake her head up & down. Like girl SPEAK, use your words, interact with your customers.. it's not that hard to be a kind person. Being disrespectful takes more energy . We were so polite with her even after she treated us like that, anytime we'd say "thank you" and we'd get NO response. We noticed another man working behind the bar, not even our server, he came up to us asking us if we needed anything. Bringing us refills without even asking us, making conversation and being like a normal human . So what we decided to do was tip him $20 even though he wasn't our server.. kind and respectful people like him never get recognized, so it was important to my sister to let him know that he was the only person who treated us like customers when we were there. She got NO tip from us.Ps: if you can't handle a simple conversation with your customers that you should not be working in a vicinity like that. I hope that lady's day got better. Absolutely horrible service. It took over 90 minutes for two drinks and two burgers! Our waitress disappeared for about 25 minutes at a time. Would bring a drink, then our food order was taken 25+ minutes later. We literally could not find her, she just vanished like Keyser Soze. It was not busy either - there were tables abound. I'm flabbergasted as to how a simple 2-person order could take so long. We ordered 2 burgers, 1 medium, 1 medium-rare and they both came back well done. DON'T GO HERE!! Why oh why did I not read the reviews before coming here! I went to this location on Sunday night with my daughters. Pros: Our server was nice, but forgot her name. Cons: Drinks we're NASTY! We got a pitcher of Strawberry Lemonade and it was super sour and tasted like soap. I ordered the flatbread pizza and they gave me the child size but charged me for the full size and it had no sauce. An extra meal was added to our bill. But the most discussing thing I saw was the bartender taking a strawberry out of a customers drink with her hands and eating it. Never going there ever again!!! read more

Food and drinks were good per usual on my last visit, but the service was not great. Saw our waiter 3 times over 2.5 hours and had to order drinks from the bar. We had automatic gratuity added to a 3 person table so the waiter received over $60 in tips for what I would not consider $60 tip worth of service. I do like the ambiance of this place and I have enjoyed it in the past, but most likely had a one-off experience. This place is great!! Christian nailed it, he is the world's most perfect server!! If God made one perfect server in this world, it is him.
