It was so hot, it felt like a hot day in Houston after it rains terrible and humid. I was waiting for 2 martinis that I ordered from a hostess that was behind the bar?? Weird.. anyways she was in the back talking for like 5 minutes then came up to me and told me they're making the drinks in the back, which was a lie. After 10 minutes a waitress comes up to me and asks what I ordered or if we are waiting for a drink and I said yes 2 martinis and she started making them at the bar. Savanah is such a sweet and wonderful person! She seriously made our night and was very knowledgeable of the menu and drink selections. Not only that, but she didn't rush us, took the time to explain everything to us and gave us space to enjoy our night. Nice atmosphere but the service is terrible. Our waitress disappeared for almost 20mins after sitting us and taking our drink order. Had to get up and order from from the bartender. She also never brought our water. Also had to get up and ask bartender for water. And she only came by once to check if we needed anything else. read more

Horrible service and even worse food. I don't know why my wife and I have given this location so many tries, but this was the last. When you are sat at your table expect a 20 minute wait before you are even acknowledged. And from there it only gets worse. My son ordered a grilled-cheese. Simple, right? Well we sent it back twice and they still couldn't get it right. They basically toasted some bread and slapped a piece of cold cheese between it. The cheese was still cold when they gave it to us. My Mac and cheese was soupy and my wife's cod was burnt to a crisp. I've been to other Bar Louies and it was good, but I guess the management at this location is sub-par (to say the least). We walked in, sat at the bar. 3 waiters noticed us but not one took our order. Bartenders just tended to we guess their regulars. After looking around at the bar we noticed we weren't the only ones waiting to be served. After 20mins of no one asking if we even wanted a glass off water at the bar, we left. I really enjoyed coming here for brunch. The atmosphere is relaxed, they offer vegan and vegetarian options for those that want them, the service was good. The only gripe I would have is the dj music inside being played on Sunday was a bit too loud, maybe something a little more relaxed for a Sunday brunch would be better. I left my wallet on the small table by the kitchen exit 2 Thursdays ago in the evening (2/7/19). I went back there that Saturday when I realized that is certainly were I lost it, and I was greeted by the day manager who assured me nothing was handed in and he would ask and get back to me. I left my name and number because, logically, the waiter and bus boy works night shifts and he would need to talk to the night manager. I asked about the camera right above the table and he said it was wide angle, would have captured the table, but he doesn't have access to it, only the owners and he will certainly ask them to check. I called on Tuesday since I had not heard from him. I was reassured he is still looking and I asked about the camera, he said the owners were in Las Vegas and he would get them upon their return. I called again on Thursday and spoke to the night manager. She had no awareness or information from the day manager about my situation and it was the first she heard of it. She took my name and number and promised to get back to me. No one has called. I called again the following week and same response. For the record, the manager today told me he passed the message to the owners, by email, and they never responded to him. He has not seen them in person in 2 weeks (hmmm...). I told him, "look, it has been two weeks, I guess I should just write a 1 star Yelp review and hope the owners see it?". His reply: "yeah absolutely, go ahead". I can't tell if it was arrogance, defiance or exasperation. I really hope someone responds to this and tries to help or rectify the situation. read more

Absolutely horrible service at the bar. Would have left 0 but it wouldn't allow. I was in the service industry some years ago and we would have been fired on the spot if we worked(or should I say lack of) the way they do now. Giving this place one star because the drinks I had were delicious. It was a new margarita that was yummy, but the service here is the worst. We were there yesterday to watch the Astros an not one time were we approached by a waitress or waiter. We sat at a table because we wanted to have dinner while we watched the game. We arrived at 7 and left around 9:00. We stayed because like I said drinks were delicious but my husband had to keep getting up to go to the understaffed bar to get our drinks. What made me even more upset was that some girls came to sit at a table next to us and a server went to help them. We ended up going to eat at torchys which was way better!!! I came here with my side ting on a Saturday night and absolutely loved my time there. The food is great and the drinks are even better. My waiter, Cameron Slong was his name I believe, did a wonderful job serving us and made sure we were okay. I invited him over to our house afterwards to have some fun, but he politely declined. Everything was perfect! My boyfriend and I came out for our date night. All of the outdoor seats were taken so we sat at a booth inside. Our server Colin was extremely attentive. We never had to flag him down. We had the nachos and spinach dip for an appetizer. I had 3 Divas(martinis) and the Mac and cheese with short ribs. My boyfriend got the pulled pork burger. Bartender was incompetent in making drinks. To even get drinks you had to wave down. Dirty dishes and glasses were all over bar and all over tables. My husband and I tried Bar Louie for a quick drink/bite before we hopped over to Alamo Drafthouse for a movie. I really wanted to like this place but we both left pretty disappointed. My husband had 2 crafts beers, good enough. I tried their $5 martinis for happy hour. I had two of them to make sure it wasn't just a fluke and man, they had way too much mixer in them - the sugar ended up upsetting my stomach so badly we almost called it quits for the night (I never have reactions like that!) The food was alright, super bland. The staff behind the bar did not get along well either and were bickering and telling each other off - made for a good show though I guess. The actual bar setting is nice but would benefit so much more from a better managed bar/staff with seasoned food and better drinks. read more

I don't know what people are griping about. I gave this place 2 chances to live up to the low ratings I've read. They didn't. Place is just fine by me. Huge place and kid friendly during the day. Big outdoor patio. Well furnished, comfy, nice staff? I ordered boneless wings and a wrap in my two visits. They were both very good. Decent beer selection and large full bar. People in Katy have gotten spoiled to give this 2 and one star(ridiculous). Not that long ago you had Mo's, Einstein's, and Chili's. This place is great. First time coming here, daughter graduated this evening and this place was recommended to us. Speed of service was horrifically slow. The sign stated that martinis were half off however we were charged full price. Brought it to managements attention, he looked at the sign and explained that it was for a different time frame than what we were there for. After asking where it showed this he was unable to come up with anything. He had the power to make them 1/2 like it advertised but chose instead to be combative and unhelpful. Was with a large party tonight so instead of being a repeat customer, this manager told me in his actions that he preferred I take my money and my business elsewhere. Ordered a very simple drink for my wife, Disarrona on the rocks. One sip showed this was not Disaronna. When questioned we were told this was DeKuyper. Was concern for what we ordered shown, no. Were we offered or told we do not have that brand? No. Not only did the Bartender not care, when we addressed this the bar manager, after he agreed that what we we served was an inferior product, we were still charged for it. This place has a 3.5 Yelp rating. You have to work hard to earn that. They obviously do. This is a very nice place but I would steer clear, the people that work here don't have a clue.
