I AM SO HAPPY we found this gem!!! We are truly picky eaters. I can honestly say. We are easy to please but many establishments serve mediocre food that people rave about. We end up trying it and 85% of the time. Turn out disappointed. For pescatarians or non meat Eaters, they have options that are everything more than delicious. Normally the options that you get or poor or drowned in sauces that come out of a can or frozen something. I ordered the chicken quesadillas for the kiddos. Salmon sliders and impossible burger for my husband and I. All I can say is.... we have opened up a can or worms!!! 1. The food is delicious 2. They actually read your request and complete your order accurately 3. The cutest touch was added to our order during this Pandemic. 4. Took me a good 24 hours to accept how my table and I were treated at my FAVORITE place. "Ronesha" came by our table MAYBE 3 times. The second time when we asked if the other side of our table could order (cs she had only taken half of the tables order for some reason??) She told them to order at the bar. Which confused me cs we weren't sitting at the bar. So when we asked her why she said "we were overwhelming" her. She also accused me of talking about her lol like yes your service sucks so I absolutely am! She's entitled to her own opinion but I thought we were being extremely patient with her... I've never see a waitress be so dramatic over nothing. Maybe it was the loud music and all of her (2) tables freaking her out i'm not sure. I love this location. The servers were very attentive from beginning to end. Probably the best service I have had since the quarantine has lifted! We used to always come to this location since ive moved here 2 years ago. It was one of my fav spots. We have a pretty decent and consistent experience during the day (which is why in doing 3 stars). But evenings and nights are a whole other story. Weve come twice after a concert and its the same thing. A server will say "someone will be with you..." we sit and sit for at least 20 mins before we can even get water. Theres always some confusion about who is supposed to take our table. This last times the guys who handed us off to others, then came and started serving the group of ladies who came in after us and sat right next to our table, so didn't seem like a section thing. meanwhiles you'll see some of the servers just hang out by the register, place is not packed so I don't get any of it. We ordered sliders (a usual), wings, etc. sliders were dry, sort of cold. Everything was mediocre. We were hungry so we just went with it, plus didn't have enough trust to send it back to the kitchen. Had to keep reminding the server about things i asked for in the beginning. Husband & I went for a couple drinks after a movie. The sliders were great. The drinks were good. We sat at the bar after reading the reviews about sitting outside. We ended taking our drinks out because a guy next to me kept passing gas. Outside, the smell of sewage is so strong. Three sewage manholes are right outside. Back inside we go. My only issue is allowing smoking outside when the doors are open. I'm severely allergic to cigarette smoke. We had to leave or an ambulance was going to need to be called for me. Such a bummer. We had drinks and apps about 4 months ago and thought it was great. However upon coming back understand why the ratings have dropped. The quality was soooooo poor for what you pay. The drinks were mostly ice and sweetener, no flavor. The advertised menu wasn't accurate. The calamari is just fried calamari, heavy breading, not flash fried. The martini with the blue cheese olive came with one, non blue cheese olive. I've never gotten a martini with only one olive. My group and I came in around 12:45am- 1am solely for the reason that they had food. We walked in and immediately were greeted by wonderful service by a server that had soon been cut and we got a new server that ABSOLUTELY SUCKED. We waited w empty glasses and were forgotten abt all night while he sat at a table in the corner eating his food on his phone. We were told as soon as we walked in that they were no longer serving food and we decided to get drinks anyway bc normally it's great. We decided as a group to go ahead and Doordash some food as their kitchen was closed. We didn't think there would be any problem. As soon as the food came they told us we had to leave so we asked to close out and started snacking on our food. We were yelled at by some other random female server twice abt having another businesses food (whataburger) in their bar which would have made sense had they still be serving food but they weren't. Three of us were service industry fresh off of a shift and just wanted a drink and some food. Had they been serving food I would completely understand why they didn't want us bringing another businesses food in their bar but being service industry and understanding the concept of closing the kitchen we always are open to allowing out PAYING and GREAT TIPPING customers to have food delivered to our bar as long as they are drinking. In my opinion, this all comes down to servers not wanting to be there on a slowish sunday night and wanting to leave early if they could make us uncomfortable enough to leave. Alright, .. let's go. First and foremost, the bar life @ this joint is immaculate. Anybody that serves up both variations of Basil Hayden gains my bar patron loyalty with ease. They also have praise worthy cocktails for my favorite pretty to enjoy. Their liquor selection impressed me to the point that I haven't tried ANY of their brews (they have about a thousand) .. and if you know me you know I'm a beer snob. Also, to Chandler .. you're dope man, I always appreciate an attentive bartender. Always making sure my to-go order is proper and my Basil Hayden on the rocks is full. 5/5 for the spirit selection and bar vibes. I love not being bothered when I'm trying to unwind with whiskey. Food wise .. I've tried quite a few things. Tuesday is burger day .. mine is always a perfect medium. Not the BS "medium-well" places try to force on people .. a true medium. I'm not gonna sit here and do any convincing or boost how good the burgers are to me because you're either gonna like it or you won't. Jus go for the Blue Louie and report me if I'm lying. I can do without their wings, they don't make 'em crispy enough for me .. but their bleu (blue?) cheese and ranch could be bottled and sold if it isn't already. I haven't tried the pork wings but I'm also not beating down their door to. If that ever happens I'll update this review. Salads? Flames. Fries/Loaded tots? Fuego. Pretzel? Fire fire. The Hot Honey Chicken and artichoke dip are next on my list but I tend to get stuck in my ways when I find what I like on a menu. I will say that I've experienced lackluster service before I accidentally became a quote unquote regular and have had to be a little unpleasant toward a worker or two. I've bartended and you can tell some of them behind the bar don't know what the hell they're doing. So first time at the place. Took 20 to 30 minutes to get our drinks then get a chicken sandwich that had no flavor and was thinner than a sheet of paper as you see in the photos. The first picture is what hey advertised and the second is what I got..tator tots salty. Wife asked for medium rare burger and it came well done as well as the over easy egg which was fully cooked. Worst restaurant service experience ever!!! We booked a lunch for 30+ people. The owner assured us we would be taken care of, as did the manager. We all arrived at 11:30. The restaurant was empty. 45 minutes later, we got our iced tea. At 1:12 the last diner was served. While we waited, we watched the manager doing nothing while our poor waitress did the very best she could. It was inexcusable! When we told the manager, she offered nothing. The poor waitress was very professional and apologetic. None of the people sitting around offered to help. There was no sense or urgency or attentiveness. read more

Where to begin?! Is there less than one star to rate this place? The short, don't waste your time here! I would highly recommend Local Bar which has better food, drinks, ambience, and, most importantly, better service. As others have mentioned there is no host/hostess stand and we awkwardly walked around before stopping a waiter because everyone was ignoring. They were busy unpacking boxes of liquor that sat on the floor of the dining room, but we learned that we were to seat ourselves so we went to the patio. After some time waiting we picked the menus and menu holder up off the floor and were able to get a drink order in with the second person who stopped by our table. Luckily a third person brought us waters because it was a long wait for our cocktails. Our drinks arrived and my fiancé's sangria was good, but I received the worst "New Old Fashioned." It was basically Bulleit Rye Whiskey poured over large ice chips with a cherry and orange peel! Not orange zest; not an orange slice; a slice of orange peel rind and all that looked like the orange was eaten or cut out off!! No it was not muddled in the glass. Worst Old Fashioned ever. Our food was decent but nothing great especially at those prices. However, the flatbread had little chicken on it and cold pico de Gallo was placed on top and chilled the food. Soon the wind picked up menus and knocked over the sangria onto my fiancé and me as well as her food. I asked the waiter for napkins and he immediately began cleaning the mess but I had to demand that he get napkins for my fiancé first and we could get the table after we were dry. After bringing the napkins another waiter rudely kept squeezing between myself and my fiancé to clean the debris off the floor. Clearly we were trying to get our check to get out but this apparently could not wait. I understand that the accident was an act of nature, but the waiter telling us that it's "not my fault" and "sucks that it was Mother Nature" is pretty terrible. No empathy. Just awkward. He comped the flatbread but not the nearly full drink that fell over. Needless to say we will not return here nor would we recommend it to anyone. By far the worst bar in Katy. read more

I have been to multiple bar Louie locations. I tend to come to this particular location for the social aspect as the other locations are a bit dull in atmosphere. I really come for the drinks more so than the food. The food is just ok. Lately this particular location seems to rub me the wrong way. I always find myself tracking down bartenders to assist me. I feel as if they don't cater to me because I'm sitting alone at the bar as opposed to sitting with a larger party (aka larger tips). It literally makes no sense for bartenders to bypass me but yet ask the people sitting directly next to me would they like anything else. They never check to ask is everything OK or can I get you anything else I have to flag them down every time. They literally just drop the food off and run. This time I requested the manager and told her my concerns. Because of my experience she was nice enough to comp my meal. I will say the bartenders are nice (hence the 2 stars) they just are not attentive which is why I gave it to instead of the one for customer service really needs to improve at this location for me to go back. read more

The Caucasian woman manager is so rude I believe her name is Christina if I'm remembering correctly. She's super passive aggressive and will most definitely ruin you experience if you come in contact with her. I tolerated her attitude twice while picking up my Togo order(s) but she is so nasty I now drive almost 30 minutes away to visit the sugar land location. I hope she gets let go soon as she doesn't seem to be the best at customer service and I would rather this location because it is closer to my home. read more

I hate giving bad reviews as I am in business myself and think many are so subjective.... but: I Gave this place 4 chances- the food was good on time #1 but the service was horrendous.... ( sat at the bar and did not even get a look for 20 minutes, then sat ourselves at a table and flagged a waitress down- finally served and they Bieber showed back up to check on us, refills, etc.... til we asked for the chexk( we in they brought in milliseconds). On time #2 we sat at the bar, and I told the bartender, "look buddy- last time we were here, service sucked .... I am a generous tipper so if we get even mediocre service, I will take care of you!" Service was mediocre and the food was good- but we noticed several of the popular items were gone.( bummer) Times #3 and 4 were just bad- terrible service from the bartenders and even when I had to basically lean over the counter to flag one down ( they have perfected zero eye contact at patrons that aren't blonde with huge cleavage exposed) to get silverware to eat the food that was given to us 10 minutes earlier.....they acted perturbed and frustrated at the request. Plus the food just was not that good on time #4. if your food was the bomb then I would understand and somewhat tolerate the bad service but the food was not that great times 3 and 4. I even gave the guy my " I tip well" ( and always do) but he could care less and then the other bartenders( makes and females both) avoid you if you are not their customer....they do pay attention to each other and people they flirt with- our specific bartender was busy at the other end of the bar with 2 chicks with cleavage for days.... and then "bothered" by any other customers ( including those on either side of us) when asked to help them..... Sorry bar Louie- the environment is cool but the food has gone way down and your service has always stunk. I won't waste my time or hard earned money with you again. The reviews for this location absolutely track with my experience. We tried this location after having a pleasant private experience at another location. The waitress on Friday 8/11 was extremely rude. My fiancé and I waited about 5 minutes before being acknowledged, and when we finally were, we were met with "are you ready to order", my fiancé ordered for us both and the bartender, a female with reddish curly hair, obviously took offense to this and made a disparaging comment to I believe his name was Paul, a bartender. Not much has changed in the terrible service here. I don't understand why we had to wait so long for the server to come check on us. We were finished with our drinks both times she'd come check on us. (That would've been at least 45 minutes)- I'd rather be 'bothered' & checked on than waiting. Date night with my wife. First time experience and enjoyed the happy hour. Both Lo and Ren bartenders were helpful and provided a great experience. We ordered a couple of starters with drinks and could really only summarize as a lack of SALT. The queso had a weird texture/taste for my preference. The guacamole lacked flavor (needed salt, garlic, cilantro) as it seemed like it was missing some fresh ingredients. The drinks were tasty but we did notice some inconsistency between bartenders. The New Old Fashion was different from different servers. I completely understand that it's a new place, and would try again. Just wasn't blown away with the food quality. The service here was EXTREMELY slow. There was a sign stating that martinis were 1/2 off, ordered 2 - charged full price - when I questioned them about it they stated that was for Thursday's. So the calamari is the best I've had I. A long while. Actually came back the next day and had it again just to be sure and it was so tender and flavorful wow! Please try it. The tater tots are beyond good, not sure what seasoning they use but amazing and putting fries to shame. The brisket sliders and wings were really good but could use a bit of a punch with sauce in the sliders and a bit more crispy on the wings. Disappointed in the spinach dip. Just blah. Kick it up guys. And for the service I know it is a large place but dang for being new I thought you would be all over it? While the service when you get it is good slow and non attentive at the bar at lease during the day is how I would describe it.
