Wing order and Taco Tuesday
Cyndi C.

Great locals feeling dive bar in Port Angeles. One that also, Serves up some tasty food and the wings are the BEST! Many flavors to choose, but as a purist, I can tell ya their buffalo wings are spot on, perfectly fried and sauced! Note: there is not usually a wait staff but a fast friendly bartender who's got you! You order at the bar, then food will be brought by your table once it's ready. Great draft beer selection, full bar offerings and surprisingly tasty foods here for a nightclub type spot. I almost forgot to mention they have karaoke, djs and other events here in the eves, so heads up, it can get very busy. Cheers.

We were looking for a foldable no fuss place to eat in town and this place was great! Great price and portions for the burger and wings. The environment is very dive bar but clean. Service could be better.

12-piece sweet chili chicken wings
Frances M.

I went to Bar N9ne for the first time tonight with a friend because I had read that they had great chicken wings. After sitting for a while, we decided to go up to the bar to place an order, since we weren't sure how their system worked. The bartender was clearly trying to repel humans with her behavior. She treated us very rudely and rolled her eyes at us over the most basic questions. The menu doesn't have chicken wing flavors listed and says to ask about their sauces, but when I did, she acted like she couldn't believe I dared to bother her by asking. We waited for a long time for the wings at our sticky table. It was hard to have a conversation, but that's to be expected in a bar. The sweet chili wings were the best chicken wings I've ever had, which is why I can't give this place one star despite the fact that I absolutely hated everything else about it. My friend didn't want to tip the bartender since she was so rude, but was afraid that there was tip sharing and that the cook wouldn't get a fair share if he didn't tip, and the bartender's human repelling wasn't the cook's fault. I got him to ask for me if it was possible to phone in an order to pick up so that we would never have to deal with her again, but she told him (rudely, of course) that that wasn't possible.

Bar, DJ booth, billiards in back room
M B.

Initial Impression: Busy sports bar with classic 2000's coming from the DJ booth. Ambiance: Long bar, dining area, outdoor patio, central dance floor and back room billiards table. Food: Didn't eat Drinks: Wide variety of top shelf spirits, huge tap section. Service: Wonderful staff! Welcoming, attentive to the bar, never waited for drinks, made rounds collecting empties, fun bar top banter. Really great service. ~ Mikey Dangerbush

Nathan, hands down excellent service, and a solid bartender. We had the nachos, fried raviolis, chicken wings, and mozzarella sticks. While everything was hot and tasty, the sticks were the fan favorite. Took my MIL back to the 80's

I have not seen much food here, maybe some snacks served here? This spot is however, a perfect place to go if you grabbed a slice at near by strait slice pizza or some bbq nearby and can eat here. We've always had great bartenders who help you choose a beer with a sm taster, they even have dice to roll if your feeling curious to try whatever.

They were perfectly fried with a crunchy exterior, all heightened by a lovely drizzle of honey. 5/5 Fried Chicken Sandwich - This sandwich was a monstrosity! If I were Sasquatch, I'd still be full after eating this. They practically put two fillets into one sandwich. The breading was flavorful, and the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. I definitely appreciated the generous portion size. 4/5 Ahi Tuna - Deliciously fresh and simple. The tuna was lightly seared and served sashimi-style with a perfect rare interior. Being so close to the ocean makes you appreciate how fresh seafood can taste, and they deliver that here. It's lightly dressed with soy sauce and citrus to bring out the natural flavor of the fish. 5/5 Service & Atmosphere - The service was great, and we were seated quickly. The bartenders are true mixologist and even have non/ alcoholic cocktails and 25 specialty bitters (dry jan anyone?) I enjoy all their appetizers every thing from, seared ahi tuna, bacon wrapped dates (you get 4 per order), crispy brussel sprouts are crack, they are so good. (balsamic vinegar goodness) Menu is somewhat small but they have a great Chicken sandwich that is perfection in crunch, best batter Ive had (since Oak in Seattle. I think it originally was the sister to Spruce but changed owners.?) The other star dish is pork schnitzel, tasty all around and I love the capers, the red cabbage side, it's not too big, so you can finish the meal. (which is perfect as I don't think it would carry well to reheat due to gravy) I can't forget to compliment the service. Our waiter checked on us often, gave suggestions when we asked, water always was refilled which we appreciated so much. Service is lost nowadays but not here! So come here for a small plate and specialty cocktails or craft beer night or a full meal. The only underwhelming item was the side of fries that come with the sandwich was meh, but they do have decorated ones you can order as side that might be more tasty.

Me and a group of friends (8 total) were visiting the Olympic peninsula for a camping/backpacking weekend and stopped by Midtown on a busy Friday night and were quickly seated. The food tasted good and we had great service during our visit. Since we were a large group, and already had shared expenses for the weekend, when asked about the check we offered to put everything on one tab to save time. Later on that night however, after we had set up our tents at our campground, my partner began to experience intense stomach pains which turned into full blown food poisoning. I spent the next several hours helping them, before I also got sick. It was at this point we realized that it was from the chicken sandwich my partner had ordered at Midtown, since I had eaten her last remaining bites of the sandwich and this was the only food we shared that other members of our group had not also eaten (we all shared food at lunch earlier in the day). My partner and I essentially spent the night in the campground bathroom (we are extremely lucky they had one). The next morning we were feeling depleted, dehydrated, and decided to head home to recover while the rest of the group continued on the trip. We spent the rest of the weekend trying to get food down. I called Midtown the next business day and let them know what happened for their awareness mostly. They thanked me and told me their policy is a full refund if something like this happens and that the group should expect it soon. We didn't hear from them or get notification of a refund so we reached out a week later and they said they forgot and now the owner would only provide a refund for me and my partner's meals and that they never offered a full refund. They said since we had "12 people" on the ticket they wouldn't do it (our tab for 8 people was $186 before tax and tip) but if we had a doctor's note that could change things. I promised them we weren't making it all up and that I've never gotten food poisoning from a restaurant or even left a bad review before! Tired of the gas lighting I decided it wasn't worth arguing and let them know this will have to be my first. It's a shame their management is unprofessional because our experience in the restaurant with the food and staff was nice.

It's a brewery that recently opened in Port Toensend and the same owners of Angeles Brewing. I got the IPA called Ready To Start from Social Fabric. It was good and enjoyable! The fish was the best I had in Port Angeles--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you're eating right on the water. My husband ordered a beer and asked if we could please place our dinner order as we had to get home sooner than later...Server caustically remarked only drink orders as she was too busy (being a former bartender and long time server myself I had noticed the large dining room was not crowded) and at least 20 minutes later when she was passing thru again for several more drink orders he asked again about placing our food order and this time she ripped into him, rudely... and informed him she would have to work 10 times harder if she took our food order. I was shocked that she would speak to him in such a unprofessional manner, I told her we had not come in to be snarled at by the wait staff and we got up to leave, she yelled at my husband to just forget the beer cost and we left embarrassed about the scene she created as the rest of our group was arriving. He called this morning to discuss this with the young male manager who proceeded to berate him for the treatment of the server!! and claimed that the group applauded the server after we left ( we spoke to several bowlers that were there and the managers claim was certainly not anything that any of them experienced.....he told my husband we were not welcome to come back and we certainly will not if that is how the restaurant is being ran by the new ownership.
