Awesome dive bar with killer vibes! We stumbled upon Bar N9ne and absolutely loved it -- this is the kind of place you wish you could make your regular hangout. Classic dive bar atmosphere, but with way better food than you'd expect. We went on Tuesday for tacos and trivia, and it felt just like home. The energy was fun and friendly, and Tawny behind the bar was an absolute rock star -- super welcoming and on top of everything. We tried the Philly Dip and The Hobbit Burger -- both were delicious, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Tons of other awesome food options too (check out my menu photo if you're scrolling through reviews). The food would have been good. The cook at this business makes good food..Literally sat and watched my food, after the cook rang the order ready bell. Watched the bartender girl, socialize and gossip with all of her friends, 20 minutes, while my order, and 3 others sat there, got ice cold and dried out. The big blonde bartender girls social life was more important than my supper..The bar was almost empty. Maybe 12 people in the whole place..The cook makes good food here, the bartender/ wait staff ruines it...Only go here if your no hungry and just thirsty...The cooks here make really good food, but when the servers let your food sit there and get ice cold and dry out for 30 minutes. it sucks..I timmed it 30 minutes..if your hungry besides getting a drink go somewhere else first to eat... read more

I was at the line to get a drink, some kid came up and pushed me as soon as bought mine for an outrages price of 16 dollars for one beer. The kid Pushed me into the counter. Security came and asked me forgive the assault. I asked why. She claimed he was a workers nephe. He was a good kid. I was assaulted and I asked her to call the police being as I did not have a phone. She asked me to forgive the problem several times and I responded I want the man gone from The establishmen.. I spent the next two hours afraid to go to my car For retaliation or vandydue to the fact the security was on the side of the person who assaulted me. The service wasn't great, but the tacos were fantastic! It took a full 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us. Even with direct eye contact there was no response...not even general friendliness... more like annoyance really. She got marginally friendly over time. It wasn't particularly busy. We didn't feel welcome as out of town outsiders. I would have left, but my partner wanted to stay for Taco Tuesday. He liked the tacos more than I did. He worked on chatting up the bartender. I cannot and will not recommend Bar N9NE after how they, and especially DJ J DoG, handled a request for a change of song (something that feels ridiculous to even be writing about because it was that simple) Admittedly, this event happened on December 14th, 2024, and I don't live in Port Angeles. However, 8 months later, I keep thinking about it and my bitter disappointment with the bar's response. A large group of us visited the bar for an after-party following a sports game, and for the most part it was ...fine. At some point in the night, "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke started playing. All of us were made immediately uncomfortable, but one member-who is a survivor of sexual assault-was bothered enough by the song to ask Mr. DoGG if he would simply move on. When he did not acknowledge them in any way, they calmly explained to Mr. DoGG that they are a survivor of sexual assault, and the song's overt themes of sexual coercion can be very uncomfortable for folks with their experience and that is why they would like the change in song. His response was, verbatim, "Get the f*k off my stage." This was an abhorrent and unacceptable response from anybody, regardless of the individual's reason for desiring a song change. We told a member of staff what had happened, and it was entirely brushed off. We left. Look y'all. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to feel about that song, that's not the point here. The point is that someone asked for something very simple for what was a very legitimate reason, and was met with a literal "f*k off". Mr. DoGG's entire DJing style involves sitting next to his macbook and clicking "next" on iTunes-he's physically capable of switching songs. Any half-baked musician worth their salt could have gracefully faded that song into something else without any need for a person to question why the song changed. But no, such a request was beyond Mr. DoGG's capability. Not a single person at Bar N9NE showed that they were responsive or compassionate to the needs of their patrons, and I still feel strongly enough about it to bring it back up again 8 months later. Nothing about this bar makes up for their abysmal service, and it is not worth a visit if you happen to be in Port Angeles. read more

This is my second visit to this bar, having visited it around the same time last year, which is usually around my birthday. I was specifically looking for a few bars in Port Angeles that remain open well into the night. The drinks are pretty decent. They have pool tables, DJs play some pretty decent music, and the service is exceptional. There are some really cool people from the city, as well as those who stop by for a visit on their way to Victoria. Overall, it's a pretty wonderful experience. I recommend anyone stopping in town. If you want to stop by and get a drink a little bit after 10 PM, this is the place to be. read more

Great locals feeling dive bar in Port Angeles. One that also, Serves up some tasty food and the wings are the BEST! Many flavors to choose, but as a purist, I can tell ya their buffalo wings are spot on, perfectly fried and sauced! Note: there is not usually a wait staff but a fast friendly bartender who's got you! You order at the bar, then food will be brought by your table once it's ready. Great draft beer selection, full bar offerings and surprisingly tasty foods here for a nightclub type spot. I went to Bar N9ne for the first time tonight with a friend because I had read that they had great chicken wings. After sitting for a while, we decided to go up to the bar to place an order, since we weren't sure how their system worked. The bartender was clearly trying to repel humans with her behavior. She treated us very rudely and rolled her eyes at us over the most basic questions. The menu doesn't have chicken wing flavors listed and says to ask about their sauces, but when I did, she acted like she couldn't believe I dared to bother her by asking. We waited for a long time for the wings at our sticky table. It was hard to have a conversation, but that's to be expected in a bar. The sweet chili wings were the best chicken wings I've ever had, which is why I can't give this place one star despite the fact that I absolutely hated everything else about it. My friend didn't want to tip the bartender since she was so rude, but was afraid that there was tip sharing and that the cook wouldn't get a fair share if he didn't tip, and the bartender's human repelling wasn't the cook's fault. I got him to ask for me if it was possible to phone in an order to pick up so that we would never have to deal with her again, but she told him (rudely, of course) that that wasn't possible. read more

Burgers were kinda over cooked, we asked for medium but i'm not sure the bartender remembered by the time she got to the cook. This woman was drunker than a skunk, quite honestly. At 6:30pm. Bathroom pretty ghetto but does have an extra seat for your friend so points for that. WOW!!!! We visited this bar for their dinner specials...and they were fantastic! My boyfriend ordered the surf and turf and I ordered the French dip sandwich. So delicious! Especially during these challenging times with Covid19 I expected a WHOLE LOT more from this place given the reviews. Unfortunately from the moment we came through the door we were ignored and couldn't get even get menus or be acknowledged. When the bartender/server finally came out from behind the bar she walked right past us to turn up the music to an unbearable level then walked back behind the bar to talk to the 3 or 4 patrons there. After another 5 minutes of being ignored (still no menus or any kind of acknowledgment) we decided to leave. Btw it was 6pm and other than the few people at the bar and 1 single person already eating, there was no one else there. One would think patronizing a place during these times would be welcomed. Absolutely horrific service. My friend and I had been hiking all day and were hungry. We waited almost an hour and a half for our food, being given no warning of the long wait time, only to receive fish tacos in place of veggie tacos. My friend is vegetarian and will get sick if she eats fish/meat. Upon realizing the mishap, my friend took the tacos to the bartender who just said "oh" and did not apologize or offer a new order. My friend had to ask for something different on the menu and was told it would take 30 minutes for the nachos. It took far more than 30 minutes and my friend and I kept having to go and check in on the order. No apology from the bartender or other staff members was ever given. The food and atmosphere were phenomenal! My friend and I stopped here while traveling through and ordered the fried mozzarella, the sweet jerk burger, and the southwest chicken salad. The mozzarella sticks were the best we have ever had! The were big and the cheese inside was nice and melty. The burger was a bit more on the spicy side than I can handle but everything on it paired perfectly together and the meat was cooked exactly how we ordered. The salad was crisp and pleasantly refreshing, and they gave us a nice distribution of all of the ingredients. We will definitely come back if we pass through again! read more

Sweet bar & grill with a decent beer selection, full bar, good food, and live entertainment in downtown Port Angeles. Went here twice this past weekend-- the place was PACKED for a live band on Saturday night (we waited over 20 minutes just to get inside) and much more mellow when we returned for dinner on Sunday evening. Even with a full house on Saturday night I was able to get a 22 oz Elysian Jasmine IPA within a couple of minutes and didn't have to wait long to use the head. The stage setup and sound system were impressive for a fairly small venue, and the crowd was great. On Sunday, we tried to get some Thai for dinner only to find that both of the Thai restaurants in town were closed so we wound up coming back here instead. Turns out Bar N9ne has some Thai dishes on the menu, but when I saw that a 1/2 lb buffalo burger on pretzel bun with cajun fries was an option, I had to go for it. Washed it down with a couple pints of Silver City Ridgetop Red... excellent! For entertainment on Sunday evening, the bar had a Nintendo Wii set up on the big projection screen and pop music on the sound system. Fun! read more

The bartender was really nice, helpful and recommended the Sloppy Jordan..and we were like ok sure why not. It was flipping. Terrible experience. Will never return. EXCEPTIONALLY poor service from start to finish- female bartender in a sunflower sun dress barely acknowledged us at the beginning, told us 2 of 3 items we ordered (pizza, cider) were "out" AFTER we tried to order them. Food then took 50+ minutes to receive (this included 2 different trips to check-in with the bartender on food status, with no apologies by the bartender) and then the tacos were made incorrectly (something I specifically said I can't eat). When I told her I still need the correct tacos she told me they're now "out of those tacos" and nachos would take 30 MORE minutes despite this all being her error. In the end the nachos took 40+ MORE minutes (ontop of the 50 minutes for the initial tacos). Eventually a random friendly man who was playing pool came over and apologized on the behalf of the bar/bartender, but I don't even think he works there. He comped our entire tab, which was very thoughtful. The female bartender never really apologized (just a brief "oh" and shrug when I kept communicating various issues like something I am unable to eat) and also kept me waiting a long time when I asked for my card back at the end. read more

We stopped by this place while going through town. We went in on a Wednesday Night so it wasn't very busy. We waited almost 2 hours for two 14-inch pizzas. People around us waited longer than that for one side of fries. I gave it two stars because when we finally got our food the pizza was very good. I had a strange experience here. The waiter who was bar tending made the worst margaritas I've ever had. I asked him what he put in it and he said he might have put whiskey in it by mistake. He made two more for us for free but they were exactly the same. So we decided to order a round of shots because you can't mess a shot up--it's just once ingredient. I told him what tequila I wanted, and he went to go look. Then he got distracted and never came back. That was incredibly rude. Then a strange thing happened--a supervisor walked in and the waiter quietly ditched the bar and us who he was serving. I told the supervisor about my experience and he said our waiter wasn't a bartender and shouldn't have been making drinks. He never resolved the situation. After being ignored for a long time, we flagged down the real bartender. She apologized for the experience and took my card. Then she came back and said the meal was actually complimentary because of our terrible experience. Later I checked my credit card to see that she lied and did charge my card. In my experience, this place is very sleazy and unprofessional and it would be wise to stay away. read more

The best dive bar I've ever been to, bar none. The food was delicious, the beer was cold, the staff was friendly, the customers were colorful, and the music wasn't too loud. There is a pool table in back, and daily specials up front. Wednesday wings for 0.50 can't go wrong, even if a little liberally sauced. The blue cheese was spot-on! A wide selection of wing flavors, don't miss the barbecue or dry-rubbed. The burgers were so good we had to come back the next day for another one. You wouldn't expect a place that looks so unassuming to be so much fun, but it was a great spot to enjoy an evening in PA after hiking in the mountains all day. read more

We ordered food & some beer. bad: crab wonton (more like feta cheese wonton), spinach & artichoke dip (microwave-made, grossly burnt cheese), pull pork in pretzel bun (pull pork drenched in disgustingly sweet bbq sauce with no flavor. the meat's texture was limp & dry.) ok: spring rolls, buffalo wings boneless.
