Great place to watch the game. This is a local sports bar, could be considers a dive but, the classy kind. Friendly group of local clientele and cheap drinks. Can't beat the happy prices and or the standard bar food menu. If you're looking for the table service of a regular restaurant, this probably not the place for you but, always Greta service if you order at the bar.

My phones last ping from the alibi.

Been to the Alibi a couple dozen times. Only place I have been in PA w/PBR TallBoys & Golden Tee. That & affordable "Happy Hour" food is about all I ask from a dive bar. I can over look alot, from poor location to an interior that makes you want to check the date on your last tetanus shot. Unfortunately last night I stopped by because a friend had texted he was there for happy hour. I missed him, but stuck around for a couple beers while working on some forms. Upon leaving I realized I had left my phone. I called numerous times to make sure it wasn't in my vehicle or house. While at the Alibi I had listened to some political talk that wasn't my take, however having spent a decade bartending in rural North Carolina wasn't something that made me uncomfortable. What did was the bartender MeLyssa "wearing" her mask under her chin leaving her mouth & nose uncovered. Being a caregiver for my 76 year old cancer survivor Mother who is fighting an unwinnable match against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, I try to not expose her to anything unnecessary. I left and MeLyssa had an almost 50% tip. After realizing I had left my phone. I checked its location in the morning and stopped by in the afternoon for it. What I suspect the problem was is my phone had an anti-Trump sticker. Despite there being three other people besides me including the bartender that night and a wringing phone it was impossible to find. MeLyssa was called. Boxes were checked. Phone GPS had said it was there. Lock screen had my emergency contact and both physical and email addresses. I realize spending over $1,000 on a phone can seem insane, but mine is my office and when in my office is a CPU with a large monitor/keyboard/extra ports. Also my wallet w/ all my cards. Unfortunately that is gone because in 2020 even people comfortable in their neighborhood bar have to act like snowflakes. Take a political cartoon to heart and disappear my property and work. I unfortunately will no longer be able to enjoy myself there, contribute to the business, or recommend it. When my car club was in from Seattle proper I took them there. When my friends were in town I took them there. When I was signing a partnership agreement we went there. Definitely on point for 2020.

A few things to correct your comments: - there were three tables were seated following me and they all got the dishes before me. One table with couple, one with four people and one at the counter. - the note I put on was not to the waitress blunt to you. I said specifically " lady with black shirt". Your tone made me felt that I shouldn't check what is my order status after 30mins wait. We came in around 9:30am Saturday and ordered traditional breakfast with French toast. Waited over 30mins, the later customers all got their dishes and next table finished theirs. When the waitress was checking with kitchen for us, a lady with black shirt came and said: "it normal wait for 30mins and you are 25mins now, still five mins to go". I am a bigger supporter of local small business, but I would appreciate if they can let me know when we arrived that waiting is 30mins after ordered. I still gave 15% tips as I can see the sorry face from the waitress - I normally pay min 20% for small business. I also noticed that we were the only Asian table during that period.

We had a 15-20 min wait on a busy Tuesday night but we're glad we waited! Our server was friendly and helpful with choosing cocktails because they had a to. Of unique selection. Haven't ordered more than one at a restaurant before but had to try two here! We thoroughly enjoyed our final selections of Ginny from the Block, Garden era, strawberry bourbon smash and Blackberry goose beer! For our mains we got the alaskan cod and chips and Blackened cod tacos and loved it all. They really know how to prepare tasty cod! The Alaskan cod and chips had the perfect crispy texture and my blackened cod tacos had all the flavor profiles you need. A hint of heat in the Thai chili slaw with a creamy avocado, Crema and the brightness of mango salsa and of course a touch of sour with the HOUSE made pickled red onions. Even better they let me substitute corn tortillas in for the flour. But you can't mix and match your proteins. I didn't need to because I loved both of my blackened cod tacos. The atmosphere is in the name: cozy Gastropub. They have a plethora of beers on tap, but parking is solely on the street so a little bit more challenging than picking your beer but I don't think it would be too challenging if you're up for a small walk. We were able to walk from our Airbnb, so didn't have to figure that part out. Pretty sure it was farther than any walk you might have to do for parking!

We had originally tried to eat at the gastropub just two doors down, but it was completely packed with a 45-minute to 1-hour wait. Meanwhile, Base Camp had only 2-3 occupied tables out of maybe 10-12, so because we were short on time, we decided to eat here instead. Unfortunately, I wish we had waited or gone somewhere else. Here's what we ordered: - Two alcohol flights -- $16 each - Dungeness crab dip -- $18 - Chicken wings -- $20 - Hot honey apple butter flatbread -- $16 - Garlic butter steak bites -- $20 - Cider-braised pulled pork tacos -- $21 - Mac and cheese -- $18 - Kids' cheeseburger -- $13 Our bill was $176 before tip. After a $25 tip and a 3% credit-card fee that we didn't notice until afterward, we spent a little over $200 for five people -- more than $40 per person, including our 8-year-old. My eyeballs practically popped out of my head when I saw the total. There were definitely some positives. I really like the concept of sourcing ingredients locally, and they even have a map showing where their ingredients come from. Our server was friendly. The chicken wings were really good, the fries with the kids' cheeseburger were also very good, and the cheeseburger itself was probably one of the better things we ordered. But for these prices, I expected considerably more. The $20 garlic butter steak bites were extremely chewy. Some pieces felt like I was chewing forever. The $18 mac and cheese was nothing special and honestly tasted like something I could make better at home. The $18 Dungeness crab dip was a very small appetizer and didn't feel worth the price. And the $21 pulled pork tacos were just two average-sized tacos. The portions in general were surprisingly small. Even when we asked for plates for all the shared food, we were given tiny appetizer-sized plates, maybe six inches across. Trying to actually eat off them without food falling off the sides was awkward. Full-sized plates would have made much more sense. The atmosphere wasn't particularly enjoyable either. The music was louder than I would want for a restaurant, and the speaker system sounded distorted and very bass-heavy. Instead of being pleasant background music, it was distracting and made the dining experience less comfortable. The alternative-style music selection also wasn't to my taste, although obviously that's subjective. A lower volume and clearer sound system would have made the atmosphere much nicer. I don't mind paying premium prices for a genuinely great meal. But this simply did not feel like a $200 meal. We ate at another pub the previous day and spent around $100 for all five of us, and we left much more satisfied. In retrospect, seeing only 2-3 tables occupied here while the gastropub two doors down was completely packed probably should have been our clue. I really wanted to like Base Camp because I appreciate the local-sourcing concept, and the wings were legitimately good. But between the small portions, very high prices, chewy steak bites, mediocre mac and cheese, unpleasant sound system, and $200+ final cost, I can't justify more than two stars. If we're back in Port Angeles, we'll be eating somewhere else.

Who knew there was a tasty breakfast spot?!…read more As soon as you walk in, it's bright with some plants and plenty of tables and chairs. We stopped by here on the way to Neah Bay. My bf was enticed by the breakfast burrito (ngl, this was probably one of the BEST breakfast burritos we've ever had!) it's not the standard breakfast burrito...no...it has crispy hashbrowns like really crisp, followed by some outstanding flavors! We only wished the breakfast burrito was a tad bit bigger but wow, it was so delicious! I had their special: the fried chicken sando! That was a messy yet scrumptious sando! The fried chicken was perfect and crisp, the sando overall was nicely stacked. A little too much iceberg lettuce for my taste but I really loved the sliced pickles and not to mentioned, their well-seasoned 4 ingredient fries!!! That seasoning used which we were guessing was crisp chili flakes with salt and pepper and maybe something else that we weren't too sure of, we thought paprika but it wasn't spicy and they were phenomenal! (Their seasoning is a secret...we couldn't get them to spill!) The gal that rang us up was super nice! They have sodas etc for $3 etc and free ice water prepared. We ordered at the counter, as you do, 2 kids cheeseburgers, a smash burger, and a BLT (they came with fries). We sat on their miniature patio to wait. It took more than 30 minutes for 3/4 of our order to come out, and the last item was another ten minutes later. That last item, the BLT, which is literally toast and bacon, not a time intensive prep! We were told they were waiting on fries to cook (a four minute process anywhere else!) We were just passing through for a visit to the National Park. Maybe that is how they keep going, with customers who will never come back. We wouldn't.

TLDR: Me and my partner got food poisoning from the chicken sandwich and had to call multiple times…read moreover the course of two weeks to get a partial refund from the owner. Me and a group of friends (8 total) were visiting the Olympic peninsula for a camping/backpacking weekend and stopped by Midtown on a busy Friday night and were quickly seated. The food tasted good and we had great service during our visit. Since we were a large group, and already had shared expenses for the weekend, when asked about the check we offered to put everything on one tab to save time. Later on that night however, after we had set up our tents at our campground, my partner began to experience intense stomach pains which turned into full blown food poisoning. I spent the next several hours helping them, before I also got sick. It was at this point we realized that it was from the chicken sandwich my partner had ordered at Midtown, since I had eaten her last remaining bites of the sandwich and this was the only food we shared that other members of our group had not also eaten (we all shared food at lunch earlier in the day). My partner and I essentially spent the night in the campground bathroom (we are extremely lucky they had one). The next morning we were feeling depleted, dehydrated, and decided to head home to recover while the rest of the group continued on the trip. We spent the rest of the weekend trying to get food down. I called Midtown the next business day and let them know what happened for their awareness mostly. They thanked me and told me their policy is a full refund if something like this happens and that the group should expect it soon. We didn't hear from them or get notification of a refund so we reached out a week later and they said they forgot and now the owner would only provide a refund for me and my partner's meals and that they never offered a full refund. They said since we had "12 people" on the ticket they wouldn't do it (our tab for 8 people was $186 before tax and tip) but if we had a doctor's note that could change things. I promised them we weren't making it all up and that I've never gotten food poisoning from a restaurant or even left a bad review before! Tired of the gas lighting I decided it wasn't worth arguing and let them know this will have to be my first. It's a shame their management is unprofessional because our experience in the restaurant with the food and staff was nice.
