Old fashioned with the bar in the background.

The ambiance is really cozy. It's an outdoor bar being a jacket if you're coming during the winter. The service is excellent! Mark is a stand up guy. Really friendly and made an excellent old fashioned. The food is a modern twist to Mexican food. The flavors are outstanding. I'm definitely coming here more often to drink and kick it with mark!

Stopped by to grab a drink and chill out as we waited for the UCR Battle of the Bands to kick off. We sat at the bar (always one of my favorite places to sit to watch the bartender work their magic), seats were comfy. There is some seating inside as well as outdoors (covered and shady). The staff was great, very welcoming. They had a nice happy hour menu too. Beers were around $8 and my Jameson club soda (which was Topo Chico and my favorite) was $17. They were working on some new drinks for their menu so cannot wait to make it back up to Riverside to check them out and give them a try! For sure a great place to grab a drink, bite to eat and just relax and hangout with your friends.

When I tell my fellow Riv expats there's some nice new establishments back in the hood, they all look surprised. I get it. Look, I'll always have love for the OG RVSD establishments. That said, when you experience the panoply of offerings in LA, other U.S. cities, and other time zones, and find a location in your hometown that punches in the same weight class as some of these other zip codes, the joy is that much sweeter. Bar Ni Modo is bout the business and stands 10 toes down with these other foos. Cuisine: 5/5. As of my second experience, nothing disappoints. All of their salsas come correct! Quesadillas and carnitas are savory and flavorful. Beverages: 5/5. Mole Margarita. Say less. Plenty of sabor and bass to this one. Representing. Mezcal old fashioned and TQM are solid too. Service: 5/5. Yo, shout out to the servers! LA can learn a thing or two from y'all about hospitality and keeping it real. Respeto. Ambiance: 5/5. Playlist nothing but flames. Cumbia. Salsa Dura. Merengue. Corridos Tumbados, Corridos Bélicos. Dope interior style, plus the outdoor vibes at Farm House Collective. Say less. Buen provecho!

New Bar at the Farmhouse Collective! Went here to meet up with some coworkers and it was great. $15 cocktails, that are delicious! We tried most of the cocktails and they were all unique but worked very well. All flavors were balanced. Hoping to come back soon to try the food. Service was great, the server was very accommodating. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Located inside a shopping food mall so there's even seating outside of the actual bar.

I was really disappointed with our experience. We were the only people in the restaurant, yet the service was extremely slow, which didn't make much sense. Our server seemed to avoid our table and acted like she was having difficulty understanding us -- even though we were speaking English clearly. It made the whole interaction feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Overall, the lack of attentiveness and the way we were treated left a bad impression. I hope management works on improving both service and how guests are made to feel when they dine there. I was excited to show my family this restaurant but hey you can't win them all. The female server was rude and not kind.

Came here last night with some friends and was surprised:) loved the drinks and it was nice that they offer mocktails . All our drinks were very tasty

Bar Ni Modo has easily become one of my new favorite local bars. Their clarita's cafecito is one of my favorites & always tastes good. The foam is always perfect. Staff is also kind and attentive. My fiancé also really enjoys their old fashioned. We went recently on Halloween and they were giving out complimentary pan de muerto with every order. It was delicious, I also loved how they decorated for dia de los muertos. Honestly just a gem of a spot & they always have some kind of event going on. A perfect place to grab a drink with friends or grab a small bite and hangout. :)

Located at the farmhouse collective. An intimate Mexican themed bar/restaurant with inside, bar top or covered patio seating. Parking can be limited during busier hours or during concerts. Warmly welcomed and attended to. Great service and food. We tried items from their brunch menu. Fresh ingredients bursting with flavor, great for sharing. Served 11am-3pm. Separate dinner menu. Cocktails or mocktails and sodas are available.

Came here for drinks and appetizers with a friend. The drinks were cute and we liked all the ones we tried. It was a bit busy but they were checking in often. Love the aesthetic as well.

I have been here at least 5 times and I always have a wonderful experience every time. I love the coco mami drink--it's amazing for a sweet tooth like me that enjoys tropical flavours. The beef cheek tacos are also delicious! They are so well crafted and the flavour combination of the toppings & the beef cheek is complex in the best way. I get both every time. The menu is limited, but the few items that are on there are made very well. The service is amazing, with friendly staff that go out of their way to ensure that guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. Shout out to AJ & Sophia! I also like the ambiance. I enjoy the outdoor seating that allows you to stay connected to the rest of the Farmhouse. Indoor seating has a nice sort of hidden away vibe as well. Overall, I love this restaurant!

    dirty maritinis
    Nicole A.

Cute bar in Riverside with upscale vibes. The cocktail menu is diverse and fun and they were kind enough to make us some dirty martinis although we had to get 'special permission' since off-menu drinks aren't allowed usually? I would come back, I'd like to try the other drinks. I do wish they had some more substantial food options as well.

We were attracted to the vibe just by walking by and decided to have a drink. Sat at the bar and had great service. Had a martini and a larger with a shot. We also tried pineapple rum. 8/10 for pink Aguachile. Fresh tostadas and it was marinated in hibiscus which was very unique and delicious with a slight touch of spice at the end. The best part was the drinks bar service! The bartenders were so kind and real. They really set the vibe and enhanced the ambiance. Place is very clean and the music inside is nice because it doesn't mix with the outside music.

Cute spot to have some drinks and food. The music was great and menu had enough variety. They opened at 5pm and we were there right when it opened. We were seated quickly. You can sit at a table, at their inside bar, or in their patio area. The food was tasty and came out quickly. The drinks were very presentable and delectable!

We got the cajun shrimp, ribeye, and steak picado. The sauce in the cajun shrimp should be bottled and sold; It was drinkable! The ribeye was cooked perfectly to mid rare and the garlic mashed seasoned well. The Steak picado came in big cubed pics and very flavorful. My favorite was the seasoned veggies on that plate. Beautiful decor, upscale vibes, moody lighting, and every corner feels intentionally designed. It's definitely a place that looks like it's about to deliver an incredible dining experience. Unfortunately, the food just didn't match the atmosphere. The crab cakes were decent, about a 6/10. You get two larger cakes, but they were a little bland on their own. The jalapeño aioli carried most of the flavor, but even as someone who loves spice, it leaned overly spicy. The wedge salad was surprisingly disappointing. The lettuce wasn't very crisp, and they added ham on top of the bacon, which felt unnecessary and honestly gave the dish a cheaper feel. We ended up removing the ham altogether. The fish tacos had nicely cooked fish, but again, lacked seasoning. They also came with more jalapeño aioli, and the portions felt awkward. The fish pieces were huge compared to the tiny tortillas, so eating them turned into a full taco explosion situation. The biggest letdown was the chimichurri sea bass. For a $52 entrée, we expected much better. The fish came out completely overcooked and dense like a brick, which was extra disappointing because the chimichurri sauce and mashed potatoes were actually delicious. On the bright side, the drinks were fantastic. Refreshing, flavorful, and probably the highlight of the meal. Service at the bar was also great across the board. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout the night. This place truly has so much potential because the ambiance and service are already there. We really wanted to love the food as much as we loved the vibe, but unfortunately it just didn't wow us this time around.

The ambiance is well created with the dim lights, lit bar, and sounds of ice being shaken. My fiancé and I were seated right at the middle of the bar upon opening, and our bartender named Chris (?) was extremely welcoming with a sense of humor. He gave us an ample of amount of time to review the menus. We first got an IPA and the Love me Knot. For food, we ordered some Cajun fries and the party wings with red chimichurri sauce. The wings were fantastic! The fries were very crunchy, and I wish they were a tad bit softer. For our next round of drinks, we got the Old Fashioned and the Bee's Knees. The drinks were right on par. We left after a few hours and found ourselves quite satisfied. It was a fun experience and the monthly change of words above the liquor wall is always a conversation starter. Then helped us rearrange the layout yet again once we realized the band needed to be next to the electrical outlets. I was embarrassed to even ask so I started doing it myself but they jumped right in without being asked. If I'm being honest, usually I'm not a fan of buffet meals, so I wasn't expecting much. But everything served was SO delicious! The fajitas were my favorite dish, not only flavorful but also nice & moist. Not only that, but they refilled the food for us as it ran out. They brought out to-go boxes for the leftovers, & best believe my family took home every last bite! The lime margarita tower was SO yummy but also hella dangerous because it was strong!! Other restaurants will give you watered down drinks but El Patron doesn't play. We were only planning on one but it was so good, we couldn't resist getting another. From start to finish, the servers (Leslie and Cecilia) were on POINT. Their service went above & beyond expectations-- continuously checking on us, refilling drinks/food, taking photos, etc. Not only that, but also, when my young autistic nephew unfortunately got sick, they were so incredibly compassionate about it & helped clean up the mess right away. I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail & quality of care. As my grandma is getting older, we are especially cherishing these final years with her. We spent thousands overall (venue, music, photographer, special mass, etc) but every last cent was worth seeing her happy with all of her loved ones. After many months of planning, I was super nervous about something going wrong but I can honestly say that core memories were made. Thank you to Santiago, Leslie & Cecilia for your hospitality, good food & work ethic-- it truly meant so much for our family unit.
