Another little gem that made staying at The Pendry was The Pendry Bar. We checked into The Pendry but our room had not been certified as being ready for our arrival. The reception area had free lemonade to partake of, with a secret password to take to the bar to get a shot in it. So me and The Doctor mosied on over to get our free shot of booze. The bar, while small, is quite darling. Seating was swank and chill. Of course they had prosecco so I was in. I did look over the menu and saw they had a pretty decent selection of scotch and whiskeys as well as Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial, Veuve Clicquot "Yellow Label" and Ruinart Rosé. I looked over the cocktails as The Queen was going to be joining us for drinks. There were definitely some items that I knew she would love. Once she joined us, she got the Oak Street Peach (Hennessey, Giffard Peach, Espelette Pepper Syrup, Ghost Pepper Tincture, Lime Juice) and the Passionate A-Pear (Clasé Azul Reposado, Spiced Pear, Agave, Lime juice, Chandon Brut Rose). She said both were delish and put The Pendry Bar on her list as a place to just go and have a drink before a concert or dinner. We got a couple of things to snack on as we were having dinner later, so we went with the Charcuterie Board, Crispy Calamari (with Gochujang Aioli, Lime, Coriander) and the Caviar & Sticks (Fried Burrata Cheese, American Caviar, Lemon Zest). Those sticks were very good and I wanted to get more, but we were having dinner later. Serve was very nice and attentive, in the bar and the hotel side. Although our room was ready, we were still drinking and eating and they took our bags up for us while we finished. Like The Queen, I would definitely stop here to just have a drink and eats, it was the chill and relaxing.

In search of an espresso martini at night and this place was across from our hotel. Busy when we walked in but managed to snag seats at the bar as someone was leaving. Well they didn't disappoint on the martinis and they were made the classic way. Perfect ! Great busy place for drinks . They also serve bar snacks too. Handy across from our hotel !

Popped in here to warm up after a bitingly windy walk around the river. I appreciate this bar is open earlier in the day than others for those of us on vacation letting loose during the day. The bar is a small space tucked into the corner of the hotel lobby with a variety of seating options from leather couches to plush armchairs to bar stools. A vibe-y place to be in. We ordered hot toddies to warm up, which were disappointingly bland and watery. Did I just pay $20 for tea? Some of the signature cocktails on the menu looked intriguing so I should have ordered one of those. The server also gave us a small bowl of complimentary popcorn which was actually delicious - a perfect blend of butter and salt. Logistics: - indoor seating only - limited street parking nearby but close to loop transit - I think I recall mocktails on the menu

We love coming to this hotel bar. It is very cozy and intimate and definitely a place to share a drink and some bar food. We had the french fries and they were hit and delicious. The wine is very good and the service is stellar and on point. We definitely recommend this place in the area. We will return again.

We were staying as hotel guests and had $100 to spend from Amex credit. We went for complimentary drinks during our stay. The fireplace was nice and the place wasn't crowded which was a plus. Drinks were delicious! Total for 2 drinks with tip $58 but spent zero thanks to hotel credit!

If swag was a small lobby bar it would be Bar Pendry. We randomly walked in here because we were looking for a hotel bar situation not far from where our cruise ship departed. London House rooftop was packed and truly not the vibe since we wanted to sit and relax. Bar Pendry was perfect and I was delightfully surprised that they had non alcoholic mocktail menu situation. The froth and coffee taste on my drink was amazing. My friend also enjoyed her alcoholic drink as well but I was a bad yelper and didn't get the name. I know it had blueberry for garnish and was light pink. So if you are over 40 and tired of walking in Chicago near Michigan Ave and the river, do stop by. This is your mad swaggy respite.

we stayed at the Pendry and had c to try the bar. Bar Pendry is a cool bar with TVs and music. The ambiance is a cool vibe which makes it a perfect place for drinks. The food looked good but we were here for drinks. The bar service was fast and friendly from Isaiah.

Love this bar and the architecture of the building is beautiful! (Dark green with gold accents - I looks like a champagne bottle!) I'm always excited to get a cocktail in Chicago and wasn't disappointed here. The "Before you go" might be my new favorite cocktail. Bartenders choice & clarified milk punch - sooo good.

    Wagyu burger

I'm not sure if everything on the menu is 5 Star worthy. My wife got the chicken sandwhich and it was good but not great. The wagyu burger was fantastic though so I will leave 5 stars. The burger comes with onion bacon jam which I thought complimented the burger very well. Service and ambiance is great too

Service is great! The drinks were even better, their cocktails were amazing and super unique. They had comfortable couches and it was a great time! Quiet and very relaxed!

Save your time and energy and skip this place altogether. This place is underwhelming to say the least. The service is terrible, the servers are cocky. The cocktails are decent but they do not justify the high price. $20 for a cocktail, what???? The ambiance is a bit dated. There are so many other bars that are better in terms of service, pricing and ambiance.

LOOOOOVED this boozy tea party! This isn't your fancy dainty tea party, it's a sleek sexy tea party. The bar is dark and intimate with great music! The tea party includes the treats and tea and the boozy part is a la carte. Service is quick and paces out the drinks and treats. The treat were so good! From tarts to empanadas to macrons. They were delish! Would definitely return!

Love Bar Pendry! Exactly what you want from a hotel bar. Small, lively, great service and generous drinks.

We were so happy with everything! Our server was wonderful! The entire staff was so friendly and on top of their game! We never waited for anything. They were immediately refilling our waters, offering more bread, removing dirty plates, replacing silverware, and offering the next course. It was perfect! The views!!! I think there's not a table in NoMi that doesn't have an amazing view. The main, large window faces the lake (East). Arriving just at 7, you get the full affect of the city, and lake, and then the sunset and lights of the buildings. It was absolutely magical. I couldn't get enough of it. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and clean, but honestly it could have been a pit and I wouldn't have noticed. You'll be focused on the views for the entire evening. The food!!! Everything is very fresh. It's all well-prepared. Everything was delicious. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from. Plenty of healthy, low-carb options. We each ordered our own appetizers. I had the crispy Maitake mushrooms and my husband had the mussels. We both loved our food and left nothing on our plates. Excellent choices, that we highly recommend. As our main course we shared the sushi platter. The seafood was fresh and the sushi didn't have too much rice. It was the perfect amount of food with our appetizers. They have an extensive wine and drink menu. For drinks I had a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and my husband had a red blend. For dessert we weren't really hungry enough to eat anything else but my husband wanted a pallet cleanser. They have a few sorbets. My husband settled on the cherry cola sorbet. They brought it out with a little chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" in French. They did not add it to our bill. Very sweet of them. It was probably one of the best anniversaries we've ever had. The bill was about $230 before tip. We highly recommend coming here for any special occasion.

That said, this place just completely disappointed. The food was just not good. I had the burger sliders and for $9 a piece you expect them to be something special. They were not. Overcooked with a little sauce and two pickles slapped on the bun with a tiny little dab of fake cheese - it was like a bad and way more expensive version of McDonald's. The onion rings were the frozen crumbly kind not the fresh beer battered kind and so that's a big "no!" for me. The dipping sauce was okay. Service was friendly and I think the guy was new but it wasn't good enough for a place like that at the top of the building. There were two servers so I'm guessing one was training maybe. They didn't make it to my table to check to see if everything was okay while I was eating and it even took them a while to notice that I was done eating. It's was slow so I don't think they were stressing with too many tables. That kind of place should knock your socks off - but it was on the low end of mediocre. I wouldn't go there again for food.
