I definitely wanna come back to try some of their food, including some other cocktails from their menu, but this experience was just grabbing a casual nightcap in the outside seating area. I think it was a Sunday night so we were able to exceeded pretty much right away. Service was friendly and prompt. I ended up ordering the Hemmingway in Peru. This was a tasty cocktail and well balanced. Refreshing while drinking outside as well. Just a big fan of the vibe, the service, and the space in general. I give this place 4.5 stars but rounding up to 5 for this review. We've come here a few times now and have enjoyed our meal each time. The food is excellent, having tried the schnitzel, kielbasa, steak frites and pierogis. If you have room in the end, the bread pudding is fantastic. The portions are big and filling and we tend to end up with leftovers. Drinks menu is big, with a variety of creative cocktails and wines. Vibes are different depending on where you sit. Outdoor patio seating is great, and reminds of eating outdoors in a European cafe. Indoor seating is a little cramped if you're at one of the tables, which also sort of mimics European cafes. My one small knock on this restaurant is the service has been inconsistent. Couple times our waiter was great, but a couple times it was hard to flag them down, they didn't space out the dishes very well as the appetizers and entrees all came out the same time, or they forgot to bring water when we asked for it. Plenty of outdoor seating, but they only have a lot four tables and bar seating inside. Had the hash brown cake and the bread and butter and jam to start. The baguette was the average baguette. But the gym was pretty tasty. The hash brown cake is exactly what it sounds like. The hash brown deep-fried into a thick little cake but absolutely tasted amazing. Crispy tasty delicious. I had the breakfast Royale, which is two eggs, bacon, and one pancake. Can't really do wrong with this pancake was light fluffy, and moist. I have been a customer since they opened when it was very popular. The ambience is still great and it still feels like a neighborhood spot, but the quality of the food has really gone downhill. The prices are outrageous yet the food is mediocre to say the least. Had a fond memory of their pierogy dish which used to always run out early in the evening so I got it. It was 3 soggy pierogies ($26) drenched in butter which completely overwhelmed every other flavor. Won't be going back. Really wanted to still love this spot and remain a regular. read more

I'm not sure what to give this place. I want to give it a 3 but I think what I got might just not be what to order. Wanted to try the pierogi, I will say the flavor is really good but their dough is more like ravioli dough it doesn't have the right texture of true pierogi. The filling is great though! It was also drowned in brown butter sauce so it got a bit greasy so I'm actually glad it only came with three. 3 pierogi being $26 would be hysterical in Poland. Nice staff just pretty slow. This post is all about the SHORT RIB PASTA! Came here on new years with friends and decided to split a bit of everything. The cocktails were yummy and the food did not disappoint. My favorite jambon sandwich is here! Service staff is nice but could be more attentive. Lunch is great here. Burger and fries are always on point. She was great... helpful, friendly and just a natural with her customer service. We appreciated her help and its always nice to converse & meet people from where you grew up. Kudos to her. So for the food... my first time there was with my lady, we dined at the bar and we loved it. I had the chicken schnitzel ($28) and she ordered the bistro burger ($22). The schnitzel was delicious and the burger was amazing. What more can you ask for? The schnitzel comes with brown butter, capers and you drizzy it with lemon. So good... The bistro burger is a masterpiece. Perfect medium rare patty with carmelized onions, new school american cheese, burger sauce and all encompassed within a Bub & Grandma's potato bun. Perfect. It's a damn good burger. You try... The lady had some chardonnay and we also ordered a totally shareable portion of immaculately cooked fries ($9). That comes with ketchup and mayo for dipping. Fries done right. On my return visit to Bar Sinizki, I ate lighter. I had the jambon beurre ($19). Parisian ham, euro style butter, comte cheese, dijon, cornichon in a baguette. It was light and just what I was looking for in a late dinner. My cousin had the bistro burger and absolutely loved it. He cant wait to take his friends there. Went here the other night for a night cap of cocktails. Food was no longer being served but we were really just looking for drinks, so it was perfect. Tried a few drinks just didn't remember what everyone ordered. I personally tried the Banana Republic with Saison Pale Caribbean Rum, Maraschino Liqueur, Kin - a - Peel Banana liqueur, Lime juice, Angostura Amaro. While there were a few things going on in the drink, the hope was that the banana would come through, or hopefully be prominent in some way, and it was not. There was also a Mai Tai which really didn't stand out in any way, unfortunately. As for the other drinks, no one in the group necessarily raved about how good their drink was, saying they were ok. WOW!!!! I had an absolutely incredible dinner last night at this little gem. Tucked in the super trendy Atwater Village, Bar Sinizki did not disappoint! The zucchini salad was incredibly refreshing and a perfect starter. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the chicken schnitzel was superb. And the star of the show? The amazing bread pudding!!!! I will be dreaming of that bread pudding for the rest of my life. The place is super cute, especially as we sat outside during a nice, warm summer night. And service was great. What a perfect little restaurant with a perfect little menu. We sat at the bar, which was just exquisite. In fact, everything about this place was exquisite. The floor tiles, the tables and chairs, and even the utensils and linens. I had the trout tartine and my husband had the chicken schnitzel. We also got a side of fries. The trout was absolutely perfectly balanced and flavorful. I just wish the bread was toasted on the side because it was soggy by the time it was being eaten. My husband had the schnitzel which I also tried. Very juicy and flavorful. He just wishes that the chicken was half in size. and maybe a side of fries with it instead of ordering a side of fries. We came upon this place by accident while cruising around Atwater Village on a Sunday afternoon. Looking for a bite, the outside tables looked inviting and the menu looked interesting. We ordered and Aperol spritz and a South African chardonnay. Both were refreshing and our server was well versed in the drinks they offered to answer any questions. We also had the Jambon Buerre (french ham sandwich) and the Trout Rillette. Both dishes were visually appealing and the portions were generous. The ham and gruyere sandwich with a pickle spread was proportioned just right between all of the elements and was easily eaten with the chewy, sourdough baguette. The trout rillette was best eaten with a fork and knife, accompanied by a large arugula salad and covered in capers and red onion. Someone knew what they were doing in the kitchen to elevate these dishes to something just a little bit special. Our service was just right - friendly and attentive, just the right amount. Indoor decor is nice and cozy..similar to an European café...checkerboard floors, curved marble bar and a small sidewalk patio for outdoor dining. No reservations available so we only had a small wait as we had come late evening. We grabbed a seat at the bar and our bartender was quite nice and offerred some recommendations. I ordered the Aperol spritz while my friends had a glass of their chardonnay wine and a cocktail called Golden Hour. We had a good time catching up since college days and also chatted with our bartender. He kept our drinks filled all night. We also ordered a few bites to eat. I especially liked their potato and cheese pierogi and their steak frites au poivre was good as well. Overall a good time. While I've dined their solo and with friends, I think the restaurant's potential comes best into focus when you can share a variety of plates. I've tried a few of their tartines, and my favorite is the trout rillette; it melds a creamy fish spread with tart capers on a slice of toasted bread. I've grown to appreciate their Caesar salad after a second try. At first, I found it unbalanced with too much lettuce, but when I tried it again I thought it had an ample amount of dressing and cheese with a smattering of boquerones and one sizable crouton. They offer a full beverage menu, and my go-to is the Aviation (a gin-based cocktail that has a hint of tartness and a charming lavender color from the crème de violette). First time at this cafe in Atwater Village. Our timing was good and we got seated immediately on a busy Sunday morning. Very limited menu at various times during the g the morning. We didn't notice that at first and both decided on something that was on the 11am menu but both quickly found something to order on the earlier menu. PS limited menu is fine. We had various people serving us over the time we were there (almost 2 hours) - water was filled at a somewhat regular basis and my flat white was really good. We both ordered 2 eggs - one over easy, one over hard. Both came over easy - which I was fine with as I ordered over easy Slight schemer of cheese on toast but will say top notch food. The arugula was well dressed and the toast was delish. The reason I didn't give a higher star rating was because of the service. We ordered a non alcoholic drink that could not be provided because the bartender wasn't on until 11. Our server said he would check on if someone could make the drink for us and didn't come back until 45 minutes AFTER we had finished eating. We finally had to call someone to send him over to us. And she gave us supreme attitude and was quick to say his tardiness was NOT her fault. We were in good spirits through all this but my friend had to get to work - we initially were going to not say anything to see how long it would really take. When the server came he comped our coffee which was kind. He said they were having organizational issues (it's been open for a while so I didn't get that). We counted at least 8 servers while we were there so maybe there was something weird going on. Not going to hold this against the restaurant because the food was tasty (but $18 for two eggs was a bit steep) and will not not go because of this. We did see the humour in the situation. We were seated outside which honestly I preferred because inside is small and loud. Their menu is limited but the options are very unique. For drinks, I had the Cali Cosmo which was divine and my friend had the Garden Party Spritz which was also delicious! For our mains, I had the chicken schnitzel and my friend had the burger. My server was Jam - both her and the bartender are red headed so maybe family? lol anyway, I ordered the eggs and toast breakfast with an Americano. Dark egg yolk tells me organic, the bacon and eggs perfectly cooked, right amount of butter on the baguette slices and the arugula salad had a zesty and fresh dressing. Not only is the food great (I tried the Schnitzel. Effing amazing!!!). But the staff are amazing as well. My daughter is going through a tough time and reserved a seat at the bar for Valentine's for 1. She wasn't going to let her sadness distract her from a good meal at a nice place. I surprised her there with flowers and even though the place was packed and tons of people waiting to get in or get a seat, they let me stay and even got me a seat next to my daughter at the bar and treated us as good as they could. Steps of service should be revisited for some employees. A situation occurred where two parties were greeted with menus ahead of our party which was seated first. One party had the full order taken with water brought over. When we asked to start our order we were denied service and told to wait for a different employee.
