I love a good themed bar, and Bigfoot Lodge did not disappoint. I loved the ambience, decor, and drink menu here. Although I didn't try one of their cocktails, the "Batsquatch" Hazy IPA was very enjoyable. We came right when they opened at 5pm on a Saturday, so we were the first ones in, which presented a nice opportunity to explore the bar and sit wherever we wanted. After a round, we were on our way. While our stay was short, it was certainly memorable. I'd like to come back at some point. Oh, did I mention they have great happy hour specials? Definitely check this place out!

Classic. Eastside. Hangout. Been coming here over the years and I still love the kitsch meets full bar and casual LA vibe. Happy hour happens daily from 5-8pm and the pours aren't dainty like some of our more hipster bars so you can enjoy a real drink. Also, the bartenders are attentive. For those who like a good brew (and two-fisted specials) you can get a beer + shot combo. Plus, they have Boddingtons and there's also Guinness on draught for some of us who like to have a meal in a glass. I personally love the themed cocktails like their Roasted Marshmallow and found a berry sour on draught recently that was crisp and refreshing. Looking for more social things to do? TBL also hosts karaoke, trivia night, live music, live DJs, and rotating theme nights too. #BigfootDoesntBelieveInYouEither

My favorite little dive bar. Feels like you're stepping into a cabin-style bar in Big Bear. Love the ambiance. Drinks are okay. I usually stick with beer, which is a safe bet. If you get a mixed drink, I'd stick with the basics. My companions loved their Whiskey Sours, but hated their Paloma. I've been here multiple times, on nights when it's packed with a DJ spinning, and on cozy rainy nights when they have a smaller crowd, and both are great. I've also been here for Blue Grass night, when they have a live band playing, which was a lot of fun. Definitely better suited for a small group gathering, or catching up with a friend one-on-one - vs a spot to meet new people. But all-in-all, I've had a great night every time I've been here!

A classic Eastside bar for hispters and cocktail drinkers alike. I've been coming here for years because of the cabin vibe and the whiskey drinks. They have a great daily happy hour, and if you go early, it's super easy to snag a place to sit. I also noticed that this must be the cleanest bar I had been to in a long time. Everything is well taken care of and not sticky or dirty. We had two old fashioned off of the happy hour menu and they were perfect. The cherries in the drinks somehow were the best I've had. The bartender was efficient but not very friendly. When you come, grab a seat. When we were there, they had plenty of reserved tables which left public seating scarce. We came around 8pm on a Saturday and it was really chill, but I've been here even on weeknights at later times and it gets busy! The Bigfoot Lodge is worth a visit for some cozy mountain vibes and good drinks. Would be great for a date or even a night out with friends.

    Ambiance

The Ambiance, Location, and Decor are really the only reason to go back here. Bartenders are lazy and the lady working weekend evenings has a dismissive attitude. Bartenders Have a sort of I Don't Care attitude and will take forever to take orders and pour drinks. Plenty of free street parking available. Drink quality isn't the best, but not terrible. $9/Draft Beer $15/Moscow Mules $18/Long Island. With these prices, I'd rather go to another bar.

Getting drinks at the Bigfoot Lodge is definitely a memorable experience. The drinks are strong and good, and the cabin-in-the-NorCal-woods décor is a fun change of pace from L.A.'s usual industrial- or boho-themed bars. There are tons of photo-ops, including a giant stone fireplace, a "Sasquatch National Forest" sign behind a booth, and a set of Bigfoot "prints" in front of the steps to the entrance. We came right at their opening time on a weekday, and there were already a few other people there. It was Happy Hour (5-8pm daily), but we wanted themed drinks, so we ordered the Roasted Marshmallow and the Sasquatch. The former had rum, creamy tequila, and of course, a barside-scorched marshmallow. It was a tasty drink and a perfect accessory for a summer camp-reminiscent photo, but it went down quickly and my boyfriend ordered one more "sipper" drink before we left, the Bigfoot Old Fashioned. My Sasquatch drink was like a spiked lemonade, bourbon and ginger beer and lemon juice, served in a handled mason jar. It was refreshing, but with enough kick that I was satisfied to sip on it for our whole stay. Bigfoot is a little out of the way in Atwater Village, but it's the perfect spot at which to forget about the bustle of L.A. and pretend peaceful Lake Tahoe is just beyond the log-sided walls.

We just stopped by for a quick drink when they first opened and wanted to see the Christmas decorations, it did not disappoint! Bartender was friendly and helpful and craft beer selection was quite good, I recommend the Batsquatch hazy IPA! Love the Northwoods ambience throughout the establishment, with many charming details to discover.

"I felt like we were out of LA" - The first thing my friend said after we left lol. I joked and told her it felt like we were in Mt. Baldy or Big Bear. Bigfoot Lodge is a cool, unique bar and it has a solid happy hour menu. $8 for a Moscow mule? I'm down I love mountains so I absolutely loved the theme and decor of this bar. It was fun feeling like you were in the forest, even though you're still in the city! The bartender (didn't catch her name, but she had really pretty, long hair) was cool and my friend and I were happy with the drinks she made us. Moscow mule -- 8/10. Was a pleasant sipper since it wasn't too strong, but I definitely felt a nice buzz toward the end of my drink They have themed nights here depending on the day of the week. Karaoke on Monday, bluegrass band on Tuesday, etc

Erin is by FAR one of the best bartenders in ALL of L.A. if you disagree you are a fool...great drinks, great conversation, a great down to earth sense of humor and so welcoming to EVERYONE...from vets like us, to first time campers...

We came here on a Sunday, so there was no charge when parking on the street! It was like walking into a different world or even a different region because it really felt like we were at a cabin in the woods. The vibes were easygoing within this dark lodge and it was pretty cool to see that there was a TV beside a fireplace. I got a Dark and Stormy, which had dark rum, ginger, and lime. This was a nice and refreshing drink that was great to sip on throughout a conversation. It was awesome to know that there are different things that are offered here throughout the week including trivia and karaoke! We will definitely be back to experience this cool spot!

Great happy hour menu. Stopped in on a Wednesday (i think, maybe Tuesday) and it was trivia night. Fun event but for sure need a bigger group to really compete with everyone. Drinks are solid & prices are amazing for LA. Service can be a bit slow but nothing outrageous. Perfect spot for a quick beer or two.

Gave it another chance this place is fun. Bluegrass every Tuesday and much nicer bartenders. That man bun guy must be gone. Heyo! Maybe he does taxes now. Or maybe he's the first guy to die in a Steven Seagal movie. Who knows. But he should really get a haircut

We always have lunch across the street at the Morrison and always wanted to come in and have a drink and we are glad we did. It's a log cabin. Beautiful big stone fireplace and a very nice atmosphere. You really don't feel like you're in LA at all. A lot to look at. Fun happy hour menu and just really cool ambience. The bartender was very attentive.

ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A dark cavernous speakeasy-like place with open space, various tables and couches strewn about, and a large long somewhat decorative bar with an impressive whiskey selection displayed behind it. I appreciated the exposed brick walls which gave it that old-time feel with a few framed pictures hung on them. Minimal natural lighting came through the front doors and windows while minimal electric ceiling lights filled in rest. There was at least one projection TV where we watched the Dodgers game while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=SomLKsk1KVcemeOCHGOZfg ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was nice to slip into The Famous Bar for the first time in over a decade, and if I found myself spending time in downtown Glendale again, I'd consider another visit. Sadly, I try to avoid the highly congested area as much as possible. I loved the fact that they had a daily happy hour (4pm-7pm) and late-night SU-TH happy hours (10:30pm-close), so there was always a deal to be found. The drinks were the main reason you came, while the food was just an add-on. The prices were elevated, but you had a good menu selection of libations (nice local craft beer list) to choose from. The customer service was easy, friendly, and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $42.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... I perused some of the other ratings here and have some context for some of the lower ratings: you…read morehave to be ready that this is actually a dive bar (or really a dive 'lounge') and be ok with it. What makes it a wonderful, unique and very cool bar setup: the divey location, the easy and potentially cozy and awesome celebratory experience because of the intimate 'dive' quality, and the fact that it has karaoke witha great system--you have to be able to reconcile that perhaps some other things won't be perfect. I'm not saying that this is for everyone, and I'm certainly not saying that we can't all have different priorities and tastes when going out. But what I am saying is: if you take this bar and lounge for what it is and roll with the punches a bit, then you will potentially love this place and have a lot of fun. For context, I have been going to bars, lounges, raves, parties, festivals, and everything else for a long time, and what I have learned is: things are sometimes going to take some unexpected or iffy turns. Often, you just have to roll with it as best that you can, and just as often: those iffy turns turn into some of the most memorable and even wonderful experiences. So that is what the Blue Goose Lounge offers: a really cool TRUE LOUNGE experience, with the lighting and cushy seating to prove it, with KARAOKE and a nice sound system, and a with an owner/bartender actually showing his personality instead of just being in service of you (yes, that might rub some people the wrong way, but I think it adds character to an establishment). It's possible that I've been lucky enough to not have had a 'bad' experience here--but it's also possible that I didn't even realize that was the situation. All in all, I've been here 3 times now and each time has been a fun and unique experience thanks to the atmosphere and setting, due to Doug the bartender, the comfortable lounge vibe, and because of the other patrons with a similar mindset. How else would you have a lounge with all of the GOOD things that I've mentioned without some of the idiosyncrasies? I don't know of another place like this for all of its good, and anything else that comes close as a drinking lounge either isn't this laid-back or requires spending a crazy amount of money to have a good time. Here, you get a divey karaoke lounge with genuine character.

Great bar, generous prices! BEAUTIFUL inside. You can feel the cinematic levels of energy. Casual…read morebar karaoke is possible and fun. Intimate venue for shows (saw a great comedy show! Also fun DJ nights) The move is to book a party here, email them. They do a great open bar + taco caterer, or just confirm a gathering and show up with party size. The manager bartender can be so kind, fun, and wonderful but also an absolute rude jerk. I've had my share of fighting with him, adds to the lore. I love when I win. I learn when I lose. Reminds me we are human. VIBES. Stars. A true LA establishment for the IYKYKs. Love this place. Check if they're open, posted hours not consistent. A gift if you can get in.
