    Lobster Roll
    Alyssa O.

Second time here because we wanted to try different items off the menu 1 dozen oysters pink moon, bass point mackerel tartare Queen st salad Lobster Roll The Queen's pimento cheeseburger The oysters were decent, but the mackerel tartare was hands down my favorite of the night (along with the Queen st. Salad). Super balanced, fresh, & memorable. The lobster roll didn't wow me, and the burger didn't wow my husband either. Not bad -- just not something we'd rush back for. To be transparent it's a solid local spot in NELA & for it being in HLP, it holds its own. As NELA residents we definitely approve it for an oyster fix. But overall some menu items are hits, & some are whatevvaaaaa IF you're going here are MUST TRIES: Mackerel Tartare Calamari (it wasn't on the menu this time) Tuna Frites Oysters Queen St. Salad

QRB has been on my radar since it opened. I finally had a chance to check it out before meeting up with friends for a late lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon. As the sister restaurant to Found Oyster and the latest hot spot, Hermon's, my hopes were high. Inside is charming with a quaint, cozy atmosphere. (There is also an outside patio area.) I sat at the bar, which is lovely and takes center stage. The star of the show here are the sustainably sourced raw oysters and clams, which are shucked fresh daily. Bobby and the other lady behind the bar were both friendly and delightful. I enjoyed conversing with them as did the other patrons. On my way in I saw the sign that said, $10 martinis and white wine till 6 pm every day, which is a great deal on the weekends since they open at noon. There is no way I am passing up a $10 martini. I was also happy to see that they offered blue cheese olives. Since the martini was $10 I didn't mind paying an extra dollar for the olive. However, it wasn't hand stuffed, but it was still good. The martini was served ice cold and was lovely. In addition to fresh seafood, menu offerings feature Southern Specialties such as Hushpuppies, Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, & Derby Pie. Their pimento cheese is made in house and if I weren't going to lunch, I would have ordered that with a side of Hushpuppies and a slice of the Derby Pie. It's all good because I enjoyed my quick visit here and will be back for the martinis and food. *Small parking lot and street parking. *4% Fee added to all checks.

The restaurant is pretty and there are outside tables and the inside tables. Their food was kind of plain and the service was below the average. The server said she would bring an extra glass of water but never did so I asked it again about 30 minutes later. The location is okay. Some parking spaces in the building and some street parking place. What I found most frustrating was the mandatory healthcare charge. Why are customers expected to pay for restaurant employees' healthcare? Who pays for the customers' healthcare? I've seen similar charges at other restaurants, but they usually remove it upon request. This restaurant refused to do so. If it's not optional, it should be clearly disclosed upfront. It feels unfair to force customers to pay this without prior notice.

Sherilyn's Derby Pie- al a mode- MUST TRY!

What a fantastic find! Even without reservations, they seated us almost immediately at the bar. The staff was incredibly attentive and courteous--we had a wonderful experience! The food- our favorite was the caesar chicory salad, the oysters ( Morrow Bay), pimento sandwiches (sliders); the lobster roll and fish with rice were also excellent. The place was buzzing with a laid-back ambience. Definitely going back. Parking is available in the plaza, if lucky, otherwise be prepared to park on the street.

This is one of my new favs! So happy I stopped by in time for happy hour and $10 martinis before 6p. Everything on the menu was delicious, gorgeous yet casual indoor/patio seating options, and our waiter was on point. My only critique is that the cod sandwich was underwhelming. Everything else was great. I will be back to try more dinner menu items

Love this place. Great ambience, service was impeccable and attentive, and food was amazing. Want to go back to try everything on the menu. Also can't argue with a $10 happy hour martini!

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. We did not have reservations, but came early enough. We were able to get a table inside. The hostess was friendly and accommodating for our family of 4. Service- 5 Our server was great, but it was the second server we had named Hook that really took care of us. I cannot remember when the last time I had such service. From quick service to anticipating our needs, to keeping our table tidy throughout many dishes. I was amazed at the attention to detail throughout our entire meal. Food 5 -we ordered several menu items so just a couple of stand outs to touch on. I think you cannot come to Queens without ordering the point break platter, which is an array of oysters and other seafood offerings. Delicious!! Another standout is the pimento cheeseburger. I think pimento is my new favorite cheese! There are a few pimento offerings, so when you go, you must try one of them!! I live in Long Beach and Queens is in Los Angeles so the drive is a little tough, but if I lived in the neighborhood, I would love to stop and have a bowl of soup with a pimento cheese sandwich once a week. Simple sounding but I am drooling thinking about it now. Maybe I would come on a Monday since it's $10 Martini Mondays. Soooooo Good! The setting for this place has an indoor harbour/library feel with the oyster bar in the center of it all. A small covered patio and one outdoor table that faces the street. lol I can't say enough how much I loved this place.

Tuna frites (I swear the tuna is in there somewhere)

I came with a family for dinner and knew this was a neighborhood spot for the couple I was with. We did have reservations for a Thursday night, and the restaurant filled up pretty well (both inside and the patio areas) throughout the time we were there. I feel like we ordered just about everything on the menu and all of it was delicious! I had some of the tuna tostados, the crab Louie, oysters (one of each of the daily options), the crudo, and the queens salad. The crudo and tuna tostados were my favorite of the appetizers! The melon and grapefruit pair with the halibut for the crudo was unexpected but so tasty and a wonderful flavor profile! For the main, I split the tuna frites (I think was what it was called) and it was really good! The sauce is what really made the dish though, the ponzu really elevated the overall dish. All of the fish was super fresh, very well prepared, and the dishes were thoughtfully curated. I really enjoyed my meal here! I did, however, get talked into my first martini ever. I didn't want to disappoint the waitress or server but dang was it strong haha I might have to stick to tequila-based drinks. Though I am glad I went out of my comfort zone to try! The restaurant was accommodating for their young toddler and had crayons and coloring pages for her upon request, as well.

The best part of this restaurant was my super cute bartender Caed. and he made my experience wonderful. I am 82 years old and this is one of my first reviews on yelp. I ate the tuna tartar appetizer, and oysters. He made them right in front of me which made the experience so special. I def recommend the tuna appetizer. TBH my husband was upset because I kept flirting with Caed I rarely recommend places, but this is a MUST if you're in East LA

Wonderful neighborhood gem. I wouldn't have ventured out this way if son"s friends had not come here with him before. We came for lunch and love the outdoor patio since it was such a nice day. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is fresh and delicious. We had 3 of the cold appetizers, a salad, lobster roll, shrimp & grits and the fried cod sandwich. Too hungry to take pics but all were good and tasty A must try place and nice to support local businesses.

I celebrated a special occasion with my partner at Queen's, which caught her eye when she looked for places that served oysters. Had to say we enjoyed our time here! Food was great and Nico's service definitely boosted the experience. Our food came in courses, with intention by the staff. We had fun trying everything, especially the fish entree (my favorite of the foods tonight). The only regret was not getting a la mode with the pie. Maybe next time, I'll save more room for it. Thanks QRB!

    Halibut crudo, crab soup, martini
    Nathan U.

Should be 4 stars due to inflated prices, but everything else made it worthwhile...seriously impressive food, cozy vintage atmosphere, up-and-coming location, great music. Most negative reviews were about service, which seems to no longer be an issue. Oysters were exceptionally fresh while halibut crudo and mackeral tartare were innovatively flawless. You can tell the crab soup stock was made from tons of seafood and healed the soul after our hike. $10 martinis before 6pm is a deal despite most other items being overpriced. Food and vibes were good enough to bring me back, but may need to split dishes to keep it affordable.

    The best hush puppies.

As a I grew up in Highland Park I took my wife to visit The Arroyo Club bar to celebrate her recent promotion after the bar was recommended to us by a close friend. We were looking forward to a fun evening and decided to participate in the trivia game being hosted that night. After receiving an answer sheet from the host, Matt, my wife and I began playing. The trivia topic was based on an older television show that we were unfamiliar with, and we initially used our phones to look up answers. A male individual approached us and informed us that using our phones was considered cheating. We accepted that explanation, stopped using our phones, and continued playing. Later in the evening, I observed bartender Justin speaking with the same individual and appearing to provide him with answers. When I questioned how that was different from what we had been told not to do, Justin stated that it was not cheating because they were part of a group. I responded that it was only a game and not a serious issue, especially considering my wife and I had only accumulated a few points. At that point, the interaction became uncomfortable. Justin informed the host that my wife and I should be disqualified for cheating, despite the fact that we had stopped using our phones when instructed. The employee who had originally confronted us also became increasingly confrontational, which my wife and I found intimidating. I later asked another bartender, Zach, what the concern was, and he explained that the winning prize was $50. While I understand the importance of maintaining fair rules, the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily hostile and embarrassing. What made the experience even more disappointing was that we appeared to be the only minority guests present at the time, and we observed other patrons using their phones without being confronted. This left us feeling singled out and unwelcome. My wife attempted to discuss how the situation made us feel with a female bartender who had blue hair. Unfortunately, her reaction appeared dismissive, and our concerns did not seem to be taken seriously. As we prepared to leave, the employee who had initially confronted us remained nearby staring in our direction, which further contributed to our discomfort. For reference, we were seated at the right corner of the bar if you were facing the bar from the front. I am not seeking compensation. Rather, I hope management will review the events of that evening, including any available security footage and discussions with staff members present. No guest should leave feeling targeted, embarrassed, or unwelcome while simply trying to enjoy a night out celebrating a special occasion.

Really disappointed to hear rocknites are no more. :(…read more That said, this place stands out even among Highland Park's many great spots. I haven't tried the food (though it is tempting), but the Asian-inspired cocktails are delicious. The vibe is awesome as well -- great seating, pool tables, and an arcade in the back. Definitely worth a visit!

Ended up at The Goldfish and walked into a spot that instantly felt like we weren't in LA anymore. Place really leans into that Thailand vibe. Nick was behind the bar and was super cool. Walked us through the menu, gave a few drink recs, and just made it easy. While waiting, we took a lap around the place and checked everything out. Tons of little details everywhere. You can tell someone really put thought into it. Nick mentioned the owner actually goes to Thailand often and brings stuff back for the restaurant, which makes sense once you see the space. There was one cook in the back handling everything and bringing plates out fresh. Food came out hot and honestly hit. We ordered the steak pad see ew, chicken fried rice, fried shrimp rolls, and drinks. No complaints. Glad the burrito line was long or we probably wouldn't have found this spot. Definitely coming back, feels like a good date night place.

Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. They have so many runners bringing the drinks out but only a few servers and, from the looks of it, one bartender (on a Saturday night - what?!). The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!
