I passed by this new bar after having an amazing workout at Studio Three. Perhaps not the wisest choice post-workout, but also not the worst! Located in the old Bottled Blonde location stands this new Mexican bar. When I walked in, it was a quite empty to my surprise. The hostess greeted us and sat us right away. We sat at a booth right by the bar. Service was fast and the food was good. We got some chips and salsa (of course) and I ordered a chicken burrito. The portion was huge, so I had to save the second half for later. I"m absolutely coming back for happy hour; they have a pretty good special going on. $7 margs, chips and queso and chips and salsa, $3 off spirits, $2 off wine and $1 off beer. In the heart of a newly gentrified area in Wynwood we came to eat in this Mexican restaurant on Wednesday night, the place wasn't crowded, but it being the middle of the week there were a bit amount of people. We waited a bit as there was only a small amount of staff. The place is cute with lots of decor. We ordered expresso martini's but I wanted mine with tequila, the waitress was accommodating she brought me a menu of several of the tequilas they offer as I didn't want the house tequila. We ordered TULIO'S NACHOS $18 which were delicious just wish I had them with some meat my fault i didn't order it. My daughter got the MEXICAN RICE BOWL which is similar to the Chipotle bowl but better. We also ordered the quesadilla's which were also delicious. The menu isn't long but everything was tasty. Average price was between 20-30 dollars. On Wednesdays they have Wine Wednesdays. They offer a happy hour and weekly specials. This was our first visit to Wynwood and Bar Tulio was a highlight. The ambiance is exactly what I love: open air portion of the bar area with plenty of TVs for watching our NBA game without the typical sports bar feel. The restaurant decor was upscale Mexican and comfortable. The food was top notch, especially the grouper taco, elote (comes with 3 small cobs!), and chicken taquitos. Drinks were also spectacular with our bartender, Carlie, making great suggestions and being willing to customize our drinks to our taste (for me, spicier!) -- the blueberry mojito and the Smoky Pineapple Margarita were standouts. Also recommend the local Laces IPA. Omark was also gracious and accommodating, welcoming us and getting the game we wanted on the TV. Overall an exceptional experience. I hate writing bad reviews but.. this was really bad. I visited yesterday for the first time to try out their happy hour menu I ordered a house marg and a grouper taco to start. My friend ordered a frozen marg. Now, I just want to say that I have low expectations for anything house and understand it's happy hour so things are not as good as the norm menu. However, the marg had no flavor and straight up tasted like poisonous gasoline. It was so hard to drink I didn't even drink half and I left it there, and so did my friend. As far as the taco. Again little flavor and the tortilla was all oil so if there was any flavor it was over taken by that. It was so bad but I ate it bc I was desperate for food. Not to mention also it was dead in there which doesn't bother me but music was very low the staff was now where to be found when I looked around and it just didn't have a vibe to be frank. I hope they improve as I know they are new and the aesthetic is giving very much a corporate bar or like a big time sports bar they just need some improvements. read more

Bar Tulio's started brunch this weekend and it's absolutely delicious. First of all you can't go wrong with the Strawberry margarita from their cocktail menu but they have unlimited brunch drinks too. I Highly recommend the Chorizo Breakfast Tacos, the Breakfast Quesadilla and the Ricotta Pancakes. The Tacos al Pastor are amazing too. And for dessert the Flan and Churros. If you love sports, they have huge TVs all around the restaurant, playing all the games, like March Madnesses, Soccer, Golf, etc. We really enjoyed it. Amazing new spot! Spacious with great music. I've been here 4 times and they've only been open for 5 months. Take my word. Their happy hour is 5-7pm with $3 tacos and $7 margaritas. Who can say no to that??! Carlos is a great bartender. Caesar is a fantastic host.and if you're lucky, Tulio will come out and say hi. All drinks boast no high fructose corn syrup and fresh squeezed juice. My favorite guilty pleasure is the birria tacos. Worth every penny. I will be back many more times. We went to his place a couple of days ago. I will point the good things first. The drinks are super delicious, fresh & made with real fruit. The nachos were very flavorful, I loved them; however the wait time was a little longer and the place was not that full when we got there. We waited a lot to be served. We paid a little extra for our nachos to come with steak and honestly the plate is huge but it lack of the steak . I can't remember how much I paid total for the nachos but whatever it was i remember thinking omg this is so expensive for nachos. Ok the birria tacos were ok honestly they did lot stand up. My husband ordered a lobster taco which i dislike. It had a lot of lobster but idk I rather for the lobster to be served warmed so maybe that's more on me . I should had asked. Recently attended a networking event at Bar Tulio's. The indoor-outdoor space is fantastic for people watching in Wynwood while still being in a cool space -- important in Miami. The restaurant/sports bar had a friendly vibe with great art of Mexican calaveras and cartoon characters, and the service was friendly and efficient. I especially liked that the margaritas were made with fresh juices and agave nectar. Only had passed bites, but the guacamole was very fresh. Will have to return for a full meal. read more

Our first time at Bar Tulio's was a total disaster. We're willing to give it one more shot because the food was genuinely good--but the service experience was a mess. It's Cinco de Mayo, and you'd think a Mexican restaurant would be prepared for one of the busiest nights of the year. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There was no host to greet or seat guests, so we waited 25 minutes just to be told there was a 35-minute wait. We found a seat at the bar at 8:35 p.m., where only one bartender was working and barely acknowledged us. After nearly 45 minutes of trying to get her attention, Juan--the service bartender, who wasn't even supposed to be taking orders--stepped in and saved the night. He was a total angel and the only reason we stayed. He took our food and drink order even though he was clearly slammed making drinks for the entire floor. To top it off, we never got a call for our table--two hours later, and still nothing. At one point, even the host was making drinks because they were that understaffed and overwhelmed. Again, the food was great, and we're hoping this was just a case of poor planning for a big night. But a Mexican restaurant being completely unprepared for Cinco de Mayo? That's hard to overlook. We'll try again--but next time, the service has to be better. read more

If you're in Wynwood and craving some incredible Mexican food, you have to check out this new spot! We went with a large group and got to try a little bit of everything. The food was outstanding-everything from the queso and elotes to the Tuna Poke Stack was packed with flavor. Even the health-conscious folks in our + group (myself included) were impressed with the chicken lettuce wraps, ceviche rojo, Mexican Kale salad and the perfectly cooked salmon. The short rib birria and lobster tacos were absolutely to die for, and I almost forgot to mention if you like spicy ask for the suicide sauce --it was fire! We also tried a variety of margaritas, and honestly, I can't even pick a favorite because they were all delicious. We didn't order a single bad dish, and I can't wait to go back because everything on the menu sounds amazing. The location is perfect, with a great atmosphere, and we lucked out because they were playing the UFC fight while we were there.
