Wonderful pasta and drinks. A little on the pricey side but to be expected. A small, beautifully decorated interior! The Giuseppe was incredible! I also had the spicy tequila drink (I forget the name) but it was very good (maybe not worth $12, but good). New to the area and have only ordered delivery from them. Let me tell you.... This is my new favorite place! For food to be so delicious even after delivery is hard to find especially when ordering steak. Have ordered a medium rare filet and it is delivered perfectly. Not overcooked, which is hard to do. Have also had the calamari, burrata crostini (also a must have, sooooooo gooood!), meatballs (my husband loves them), and the tender, juicy short ribs. Very nice little spot for Italian food. I had the short rib special which was pretty good for the price. The cocktail menu is definitely worth a look for a few fun ones. Their wine list is definitely adequate for mid range dining but ask for their house wine if you don't want to splurge. I sat at the bar and observed really top level service both with me and other patrons. Even when I called ahead the staff on the phone was very very virtuous and professional. The decor is pretty simple but well appointed and comfortable. When I'm in the area and feeling up for some Italian I'll definitely hit them up again. read more

I am not one to write reviews often, but I just got home from spending my evening at Bar Verona for dinner and am SO impressed I can't stop thinking about it. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I loved that my server (sorry I cannot remember his name) was so polite, nice, and responsive but also was not pushy and did not make me feel rushed. It was so refreshing! The food was PHENOMENAL!!!!! I had the chicken Marsala (one of my favorite dishes in general) and did not know what to expect....Bar Verona's chicken Marsala is now my all time favorite. The flavors blew me out of the water!!!! I substituted the spinach for the brocollini and had my friend take a bite....she was so impressed she said she'd come back just for the broccoli LOL...it was THAT good. Place has an upscale, contemporary decor and ambiance. Good place for a quiet date night. The menu is somewhat small, but has something for everyone. Not many places like this on the East side. I had a very good short rib dish and my wife enjoyed her salmon. The calamari was good, they offer two dipping sauces that made the appetizer. We came here on the advice of a friend. We had reservations and were sat pretty quickly. We ordered drinks at the bar and by the time they came, our party of four was already seated. The Pros -place is beautiful and there was a nice ambiance. -craft drinks were good (specifically the #3 and #4 cocktails were delicious) -service was good for the most part. The Cons -small parking lot which forces you into the "complimentary" valet -the bread that came before dinner was not fresh; it was really hard and stale -we ordered the calamari and the Italian sausage and peppers as our appetizers. The calamari was bland and tasted like the oil it was fried in. The sausage and sauce was good, but the potatoes that came with the sausage were underdone. -our entrees ranged from mediocre to terrible. We ordered the spicy eggplant pizza; mediocre here- the crust is thick and dry- which really took away from the toppings, which were actually pretty good on their own. We also ordered the fettuccine bolognese which was very bland and and lacked sauce. We alone ordered the Guiseppe pasta which was really the only decent entree we had. The pasta itself seemed homemade and it was properly sauces. The worst entree was the Amatriciana. The flavors were overpowering and did not mix well together. -while I mentioned the service as decent above, there was an issue with the way the food came out. The runners kept running food to the wrong tables and couldn't even identify the dishes they were bringing out. -tables were really close together. We could jump into our neighboring diners' conversations rather easily as there was very little space for privacy. There are FAR better Italian restaurants in the area for me to waste another dime at this place. Pretty disappointed! read more

I really hope they read this and take this as constructive criticism . The service is great but the food on the other hand was very disappointing. I ordered the sausage and pepper app which should be just that sausage and peppers but for some reason they feel the need to have chunks of potatoes as a filler there were more potatoes than actual sausage and peppers. I was super excited for the carpaccio but was disappointed on how sweet the dish was. Way too much honey truffle. The half chicken wasn't a half chicken more like an airline breast. Our pizza was over cooked. But to get a 6 piece of pizza for $16 is a little ridiculous. The chicken Marsala Once again what's with the potatoes for fillers. The good things I could say the giseppis pasta was great and the meatballs were good. The prices though are a little off base for what you get. Portion sizes are quite small which is fine but adjust the price accordingly. I of course would love this place succeed and have a nice place in Washington twp to go to. I know they just opened and have to see what works for them and their business. Also this is just my opinion and I would never deter anyone from making their own judgment I just hope they get this feedback from locals and see what they can improve. read more

Love this place! The cucumber ginger cocktail was so refreshing. We tried multiple food items here and all were great. My personal favorites were the meatball appetizer (you could tell they were homemade so good!!), Ceasar salad (great dressing), and short rib (so tender and the polenta is so yummy!). The pasta was delicious as well, there pasta is homemade which truly makes it stand out among other Italian restaurants I have been too. I have been going to Bar Verona and Verona in The Cambria hotel since they have been open. I have a severe tree nut allergy so I was extremely excited to see they were "peanut, tree nut, and sesame free" as stated on the menu. I have never had any issues until my mother purchased a whole cheese cake for my birthday. We have done this before and it came a plain white box with no label and we were surprised to see it was now in a box with a picture of a cheesecake on it with a label, essentially it looked store bought. We read the label and to our surprise it said "processed in a facility that also processed peanuts and tree nuts." I am extremely disappointed because these restaurants are supposed to be completely nut free. I have spoke with the managers and they stated "due to a product shortage we have to expand to other companies for products" they also stated " we do our best to tell people these products are processed in a facility." I went there not long ago and got a dessert and received no information that it was processed in a facility. They also told me on the phone " all of our desserts are made in different facilities." The managers were extremely helpful but they should take products that they are unsure off of the menu or they should give a warning. read more

My wife and I have been to Bar Verona 3 times since they've opened so I feel confident that my opinion is based on consistency. I've ordered the Chicken Marsala (twice) and the Roasted Salmon as entrees, Calamari and Sausage & Peppers for starters, and the Vanilla Cheesecake for dessert, all were well worth the purchase. The service, each time I've been there, has been professional as well as friendly. Twice I've had the same server, Margo, who has been very knowledgeable and concerned enough to ask if my wife or I have any food allergies that the kitchen should be aware of, I like that. The atmosphere is open and stylish, and I like that Bar Verona is not a large restaurant. It feels like it's "the right size". Will my wife andI return to Bar Verona.......well, we've been there 3 times and enjoyed each visit, so I think it's pretty obvious we'll return. We had a late reservation for Valentine's for me and my husband . The ambiance is classy , good beer and wine selection , was happy they carry dragonmead beer. We were disappointed with the food we order , the pork chop was undercooked, he replaced my husband food with the comment from the manager , "the chef checked the thermometer this time " . . We waited another 25 minutes for his pork chop to be replaced. The Chefs and the kitchen did an amazing job on all courses. The server was knowledgeable and very friendly. All the managers were friendly and made sure all the guests were happy.
