We were greeted immediately at the door, and it was obvious there were multiple managers on the floor making sure everything was running smoothly. The ambiance struck the perfect balance--upscale yet approachable. It felt polished without being stuffy or overly formal. The lighting was just right, creating a comfortable atmosphere for dinner, and they offered a nice selection of beverages and cocktails. The food absolutely delivered. My friend ordered the Cobb salad with fried chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked and lightly breaded--not overly heavy at all. His only suggestion would be swapping the mustard-based dressing for something brighter, like a lemon or citrus vinaigrette, since it competed a bit with the blue cheese crumbles. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with shrimp, and it was fantastic. A small detail that made a surprisingly big impression: the shrimp tails had already been removed! It's such a simple thing, but not having to stop and pick tails off while eating made the meal that much more enjoyable. The dish was perfectly balanced and delicious exactly as served--I wouldn't change a thing. My martini was also expertly made. No notes there either. The restaurant attracted a friendly, well-dressed crowd, adding to the overall experience without feeling pretentious. It's also easy to find, located on the corner of the shopping center with Trader Joe's and Planet Fitness. Granite Grill exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely be back. The Friday evening buffet had a nice selection of fried fish, shrimp, fish, oysters and chicken, with ribs and pulled pork, salad bar, clam chowder, sides and desserts. Everything is made in house and is brought to the buffet in small portions, but they never run out of anything. They also had a shrimp bar where tacos, Alfredo, and scampi is made fresh to order. We were extremely satisfied. As we were finishing up our meal, Candace and Logan (the owners) came by the table to visit and they are the sweetest people. THEN Candace asked if we'd like some tea. This woman had an entire tea cart with at least 20 teas! She took the time to explain the teas (classics like mint and dandelion and some I'd never heard of like grape and strawberry green tea) various sugars and honeys. She even gave me a few teas to take home to try! After an already delicious meal, top notch hospitality, this just took it off the charts. I told my husband that it felt like we were on vacation and we were less than 10 minutes from our house. All of this for $25 per person! Space is intimate and low fuss. Our server was friendly and attentive. All in all winning vibes. We got the gyro bowl and one regular gyro, all with lamb and they were fantastic. The tzatziki is especially delicious. Portions are generous; I definitely got a box and plan to have it for lunch again tomorrow. Will definitely stop by here if I'm in the area again!
