Was excited to try this place out, but after doing so, really makes you wonder if it's just a bad front for the sushi speakeasy spot behind it. The drinks were very mediocre, as was the food, and incredibly over priced. I went with three people and only one enjoyed the specialty cocktail they got (the sangria-based one), and all of the food was nothing special at all - you could do much better at the Greek spot right next door. I had the chicken pita tacos and was underwhelmed at the amount of meat, and the other entrees and appetizers were equally disappointing. Went there for happy hour. I can't believe the price. Everything is a steal, cocktail for $10, each hors d'oeuvre $4. The owner Forti and bartender Christina were very friendly and attentive. They gave us a free plate to try Foccacia Burrata, fancy and tasty. The cocktail is creative and beautifully presented. And STRONG enough to make you feel it. We got to the restaurant and they had made some changes to their menu. We ordered drinks, I forget what they were called, mine was in a coupe glass with bubbles on top and my husbands had bourbon in it. They were ok. We got a beer and wine after these drinks. We started with Saganaki Cigars and Greek poutine which was very good. It was a mountain on french fries with a meat sauce and cheese on top. The meat sauce was really tasty. Reminded me of meat that is in pastitsio. We shared the gyro bao buns and El Pastor Pork Gyros. I really liked the bao buns, the gyro was good and the Frank's tzatziki on them was good. The flavor of the pitas was a little too much for me and they were really messy. I would go back for the Greek poutine and bao buns. The service was good, everyone was very nice. I think it's cool when a restaurants uses different glasses for drinks. The glass it comes in is shown on their drink menu. I would go back for lunch. read more

We stopped in for some lunch and while the menu was small, the food was pretty good but the hospitality was great. The owner (I think it was the owner) was so friendly and welcoming. Our server was also really nice and attentive. My Mediterranean Benedict had perfectly poached eggs and the chicken skewers were really tender and delicious. Honest, I rarely give any establishment anything but 5 because if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it all since I realize how hard the restaurant business is. Food is a 3-3.5 but would've been bumped up to 4-5 with great service, but the service I received from I presume the owner was probably the worst attitude I've ever received at a restaurant. Arriving early after an exhausting overnight shift as a healthcare worker, I needed some coffee to keep me awake until the restaurant opened for brunch. When the restaurant opens, I still have my coffee in hand and the owner proceeds to chastise me how someone could ever bring coffee to a place that sells coffee. Before I could even finish a sentence, he said I don't need any excuses. EXCUSE ME??? A simple "would you mind putting your coffee away" would have sufficed. But to be berated was absolutely disgusting. He obviously realized his attitude was atrocious because he tried sending appetizers our way but I was so turned off by the whole transaction that I didn't want anything to do with it. My buddy invited me to meet him here and I rarely decline. Glad I did not decline. This place has such a great vibe. There was a capacity crowd and people coming in and out all evening. What made the difference? Ceasar,, bartender extraordinare!! Did not have much to eat, but it was a friend's birthday so he pit together the waffle dessert with a candle and 5 shots of tequila. We also got the creamy feta with honey and toasted pieces of pita....omg, so good. Ceasar took really good care of us. I needed the wifi password and he called the owner Foti, I hope I spelled his name correctly. He was so gracious, you can see why his restaurant was full tonight. Came here for brunch on Sunday. Arrived about 11:30 am and was easily able to get a table. Place gets busier around 1 pm. They had a DJ booth set up at the entrance which added to the trendy Instagram aesthetic. However, there was no air circulation inside and no outdoor seating so it was very warm when we entered and stayed that way through the entire meal. The food was pretty good. We ordered the sliders, the cauliflower, the lemon potato croquettes, and a meatball and rice entree. The service was also very good, with the waitress being attentive without being overbearing. At the end of the day, this is a nice restaurant to try out or go for a date or girls brunch/ dinner. My only reservation is the price. The dishes are tapas size and we spent $88 for 4 dishes and 2 coffees not including tip. read more

I love the vibe of this new spot on Bell Blvd. We stopped by around 7pm on a Friday and was disappointed to hear that all tables were booked up by reservation. Luckily for us, there was a lounge chair available right next to the DJ for latin night. We ordered the saganaki cigars, beef sliders, chicken thigh skewers, and sweet and spicy shrimp bacon. Baraki very conveniently located on Bell Blvd and has such a beautiful exterior and interior. The place is decorated beautifully and has a very upbeat atmosphere with a live DJ. We were also served be dry quickly and the waiter was pretty nice. As for the food, I got the eggs Benedict with prosciutto and my boyfriend got their breakfast burger. Both came with a side of sweet potatoes. Both dishes were pretty good but the portions were honestly not that big. They look decent in the pictures but my boyfriend left still a bit hungry. An Instagram post got me here. My friends and I came in after work on the last day before break. This is notable because the other groups in here all seemed to be teachers ( we love an after work/pre break hang out). The location is cute and upscale with its lush blue velvet seating and little interesting items behind the bar. Sadly disappointed.. my friend is visiting from CA. We wanted a close brunch spot and found this place online. The reviews were pretty good. The place looks cute. The tables were disappointingly small. One of the server/bartenders allowed us to drag over a 2nd table. 1 table on its own is really just too narrow. Otherwise the interior was decorated nice with the fake vine leaves... Service kind of sucked. Just really slow with everything. Think there were only 2 people working the floor. They were both bartending and serving tables and busing tables. We got seated right away and given menus. Then it was a good long while before anyone checked if we were ready. No one came to even see if wanted anything to drink. We flagged down the guy. Placed drink and food order because who knows when we will get their attention again. We got bottomless drinks, tea, shared chicken and waffles and this whipped feta with spicy fig and sourdough. Drinks .... Um the tea was ok it came in a big clear mug with a flower on it. Was piping hot I had to put ice cubes in it. 1st tried passion fruit Bellini. That was good just a bit too much on the sweet side. Mimosa was ok but I wouldn't get it again. Peach Bellini wasn't my favorite. I did a check-in on the app which gave me a free espresso martini..,now that was on point. Food ... Chicken and waffles... Um NO.. the chicken batter was sad. The whipped feta felt like it needed more love. We were starving, so we ate, drank and couldn't wait to leave. No one came to clear any of our empty glasses or empty plates. No one came to check how everything was, if we needed anything else. We had to flag down one of the people working to get our check. Then wait a while before they returned. It was a lot of waiting, mediocre food, so-so drinks and a waste of time. Sadly I think the best thing we got was the Free espresso martini. I've worked on many restaurants.... The table next to us had a drink in a cat statue.... If you know you know... Most places will not take the time to properly clean those things. Lots of small corners that a sponge or a brush will not get into and so over time bacteria will grow... Nasty. The girl at that table said she comes there a lot and enjoy a few different drinks but said nothing about any of the food... Our group also got beef sliders, a house salad and chicken skewers. The house salad was one of my favorites and was very refreshing. No big deal but it was still on the bill at the end.. Asked for syrup for pancakes, he must have forgotten. So i had to go to the bar to request it on my own and someone else brought it.
