I do not know how to rate this business, have not tried their product. What I am reviewing is the delivery. We purchased a car a few weeks ago and received a box of assorted Barbee cookies from the dealer as a thank you, a lovely gesture. I am annoyed due to the hundreds of styrofoam peanuts inside the packing box. They were sticking to my hands and everything else, little tiny pieces were embedded in the nice bow. Barbee, use the air pouches! The cookies do look great, will try one tomorrow, but please rethink your packing. read more

I ordered a half a dozen cookies and they looked really delicious as they were decorated nicely with frosting. Gotta be honest here, the cookies themselves were just average. I ordered a sample of cookies, based on a review in a magazine praising the Lemon Crunch cookies. Of the 5 different flavors we ordered, only the original chocolate chip and the cinnamon roll cookies had much flavor. The lemon cookies were very bland; the oatmeal raisin tasted sugary, but not flavorful. the sprinkle cookies, which i bought for a child, were okay, but also too sweet. Mostly these were disappointing and pretty expensive to have shipped. I was really hoping to like these, but they were just ordinary and did not taste home made/bakery made at all. they tasted like packaged cookies. read more

I was the maid of honor at my best friend's wedding this past weekend. Part of my responsibilities included finding a cookie cake with a very specific design on it (Pistol Pete driving a police car... See the picture.) I went to several bakeries and was told that it wasn't something they could do for me. I walked into Barbee's and they didn't even blink an eye. It was so easy. I had the worst experience there recently. Went this week to place a large order for an upcoming event. The staff was so rude and not helpful at all. They basically told me to go home and think about what I wanted and I could place my order online. Are you kidding me? I knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in the door. Best cookies in Tulsa, it's not close! I pick them up almost every week for my office.

I'm not averse to paying above average prices for a treat once in a while... But I draw the line at being ripped off and that is what will happen to you if you buy a dozen cookies. You get zero discount for buying 12 but to add insult to injury they happily hand you a punch card where apparently each time you go buy a cookie you get a punch and after 10 punches you get a free cookie - well I just bought 12 cookies why not 12 punches? Better yet why not charge people for 11 cookies if they buy a dozen. As for the taste of the cookies, they are alright. Not great probably slightly better than what you would get in a supermarket bakery but below what you would find in a Merritts or a Mrs. Fields. Larger doesn't mean better especially if you more than double the price. For those still going... here's what to expect in a few of the cookies based on my families experience. Chocolate Chip: Kind of dry, not chewy, very little chocolate had one cookie that literally had 2 bites with absolutely no chocolate at all which was almost 1/3 of the entire cookie. Lemon Cookie: Reasonable lemony taste, doesn't need the frosting on top though the frosting adds nothing and actually makes the cookie a bit too sweat. Oatmeal: Yuck... I've had better granola bars. Was clearly on the dry side as it crumbled when broken when a proper oatmeal cookie should bend before breaking because it is so soft... this one wasn't. Sugar cookie: decent cookie probably the best of the one we had... though for the price of 2 of the sugar cookies you could buy a plastic box of those frosted cookies in the bakery area of your supermarket that would actually taste as good and you would still have money left over. read more

I have tried, but am far from figuring out which flavor is best even though I have been to Barbee's many times. But make sure to try the cinnamon roll cookie... and the chocolate chunk... and the... like I said, an assortment. 3. Don't tell anyone you just went to Barbee's or you will have to share. 4. Ignore rule #3 if you want or need to earn HUGE bonus points with: the wife, kids, office and or your employees. These cookies will get you out of some of life's biggest jams and help you celebrate the special times. Just trust me! They took my credit card info over the phone, when I went to pick up the cookies they had not charged my credit card, they had just written down all my info, credit card number, my name , expiration date and security code . I paid cash for the cookies and ask for the paper with my personal information on it . I was told "no" we keep it in our files . I finally convinced the clerk to mark through my numbers . When I called back to question this " way of doing business" my concerns were dismissed. I was not comfortable with this " way of doing business" . AND , the cookies were dry and not good at all , they were for a birthday party, all most all of the cookies had a bite taken out of them and left on the plate . I discovered Barbee Cookies when my work ordered some for an event and everyone loved them! Then, one of my friends brought me one of their gluten free chocolate chip cookies (for the record, gluten free baking can be quite hard) and it was delicious! Soft and a little crispy on the edges and very light! So a week or so later, I had to stop by for myself and low and behold, they had more gluten free options! That time I got two, the chocolate chip and a frosted sugar cookie (both GF) and they were both delicious! The cookies can be a bit more expensive than some other places but they are highly worth it! Popped in here for the first time to pick up some cookies for an event. The new location on Memorial is beautiful, and the cookies are also just as cute as they can be. I only tasted a couple of them, but what I tried was delicious and they got rave reviews from others. I really loved that each flavor cookie had a unique "look" to it, so it's not like you're showing up with boring grocery store cookies. They are quite large, and I noticed that a lot of people only took half a cookie at one time. I saw that Barbee does sell some smaller size cookies, but since they weren't as accessible as the big cookies, I didn't buy those. I think if they had more of them and in the case with the big cookies, I probably would have bought the smaller size. Only downside is they are pretty expensive if you're buying a bunch of them. I initially wanted to get 2 dozen, but I just couldn't justify $50 for 24 cookies. It's hard to say they aren't worth it, though, because they really are beautiful, huge, and full of whatever ingredient goes in that flavor. Not something I would buy just to have around the house due to price but definitely worthy of special occasions and gifts. read more

Red velvet is another one of my favorites but some days you need a barbees original! The new space offers ice cream to make oversized ice cream sandwiches and has a tremendous atmosphere to enjoy your sweet treats. The staff is great there with a smile on their face! read more

The cookie delivery arrived on time and they seemed to be a hit with the recipient. However, I had to complete my order over the phone which was no problem. I gave her the exact cookies and the special note I wanted to write to my friends who just had to postpone their wedding because of COVID. When the cookies arrived my friend took a picture and posted it to instagram. To my utter surprise, I saw that the note was NOTHING close to what I has said over the phone. It was not relevant to the situation and they are lucky I am very close with the recipients because that could have been extremely embarrassing. When I contacted the store they put me in touch with their manager and said she was sorry and that they tried to call me back the same day and discuss what I had wanted on the note. My boss brought them to work one day and I sampled each cookie because they were so good. Now, I frequent the store! Not only are their cookies delicious, but they can create designs for you.
