Talked to the manager Edwin. Showed him my old bbq model number and he sold me a $5,700 replacement and said installation should not be a problem. I took his recommendation on installers. They showed up 3 hours early so I was not there. The installers said they needed me to purchase an extra part and I said no problem. Then said they still could not do it, but did not hook back up the old bbq. Given the circumstances, I thought I was pretty nice about it, but when I asked for a refund Edwin's attitude changed a lot. He finally did get me the money back, but took forever and only after a couple of condescending lectures on what business day means. I worked in retail all my life and understand refunds are as instant as sales - if you want them to be. So I went to another bbq store and they were great. They also told me that the model I had purchased from Edwin had a $1000 rebate. and their installers will have no problem. So perhaps there is a happy ending to the story but certainly not because of BBQ Galore. read more

Worst customer experience ever!!! I recently visited Barbecues Galore in Grapevine, Texas, hoping to become a satisfied customer. However, my experience fell far short of expectations, prompting me to share my disappointment and frustration through this review. On November 30, 2023 I purchased a Timber Pellet Stove, attracted by the store's ambiance and patio setup ideas. Despite the store offering a 10% discount on the floor model due to a newer version in production, I noticed minor damages to the heatshield and severe dent in the piping section. Regrettably, the issues escalated later that day when assembling the stove at home. The piping sections failed to connect securely, resulting in a dangerous incident where the heat deflector fell off, narrowly missing my grandson and getting damaged. Seeking a resolution, I returned to the store on December 1, 2023, hoping for a refund or store credit. Unfortunately, my interaction with Ethan, the salesperson, was disappointing. Initially unsure about the return due to it being a floor model, Ethan's demeanor worsened when I explained the damages were due to the flimsy construction, not mishandling. He accused me of dishonesty and a liar, asserting the item was given to me in pristine condition, even changing his story about its packaging. This confrontational exchange left me at a loss of words as I felt like I was buying a used car. I had hoped for a cooperative resolution given the evident product flaws even just a store credit. However, I was denied a refund due to the incurred damages, despite the issues arising from the product's inherent quality. The lack of understanding and hostility I faced in addressing genuine concerns was disappointing. I had anticipated a more cooperative approach to resolving the issue, considering the flaws in the product received. I am hopeful I will hear from Barbeques Galore Management to resolve this matter. Added: Thank you for your response Henrik. I did post on several platforms as it is my right as a customer and not being treated as a customer. And I will continue to find any platform to express my discontent with your stores customer service. That is a flat out lie but okay if you want to believe them. A bit of a preface: I almost didn't want to come here to purchase my grill because of some of the negative reviews on the customer service. After calling around to various barbeque stores, this location happened to be the only one with my grill in stock. I'm glad they were, and I'm absolutely glad I came here! When we first walked in the door, we were promptly greeted by Tom, the store manager. I told him that I was looking for a GMG Daniel Boone WiFi and that I was told that they had a few in stock. To my surprise, it was Tom that had spoken to me that morning and remembered talking to me earlier that day. Tom was very informative and awesome at giving me his presentation of the grill, even though I had already done extensive research about it leading up to my purchase. When I told him I was going home with the grill, he asked me if I needed any pellets or other accessories to go with the grill. Again, he had another very informative presentation over the various pellet types they carried. I inquired about some accessories and he didn't hesitate to go to the back to get them and let me see what it'd look like on the floor sample. I even asked if he had any tips for smoking my first Thanksgiving turkey and Tom provided a ton of great info that resulted in an awesome, juicy turkey! Tom quickly got all my info in their system, got me checked out, and helped me load the grill in the back of my truck. I'll admit I was going in already expecting sub-par service and am glad I received quite the opposite. read more

I purchased a Broil King grill back in early September and was told it would be 2-3 weeks for delivery, cool. Now it's going on 6 weeks and still no grill. No status so I called the representative for the second time and again, not sure will get back with me and asked "IF I STILL WANT IT", WTF is that? Wrong, I cancelled the order and ordered the same grill from Lowes, will be here next week. Bo and Jim recommended this place and I'll share my experience with them. This place is terrible. Customer service MORE TERRIBLE. My grill has taken sooooo long to get delivered to me. The reasons why are "Russians have hacked our system", "Hurricane Ida", "Back order". I purchased an outdoor gas heater from them 2years ago. I originally had some operating issues and they directed me to the manufacturer to work it out. As it was a new product line, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called the manufacturer myself. I also had to find my own installer at the time. I am currently having issues with the same heater and their default response is give out the manufacturers number and deal with it yourself. I'm not overly thrilled with their service side of the business and lack of local technical support. I should have just bought the product directly from the manufacturer and cut out the middle man. read more

WOW. HORRIBLE CUST SERVICE. I bought over $150 worth of "accessories" for my Kamado grill last week. The attendant last week was super nice - super helpful. Today had to return a couple items that were under performing for my needs. From the moment I walked in - both Store Director (Tom Dose) & worker (Victor) barely mustered up a hello when they saw me walking in with a return. Charcoal fire starters & a LED grill light. After 1 use with the fire starters (that were crummy) I brought back the product. I was told I could not return one of the 2 boxes I purchased because one was open. HELLO......... that's why I'm returning it - IT DIDN'T WORK!! Out of spite Tom waved his hand and hatefully said - just go ahead & take them back. I told him NO - didn't want them to go out of their way to back their products. When I told Victor that the LED light barely put out any light for the grill he simply told me he had never had a complaint. I repurchased the Green Egg starters that I originally bought from another store. You would have thought I brought back a year old grill that was worth $2,000 the way I was treated today. RUDE doest not get you return customers & unfortunately for Tom - I'm in the market to build a new outdoor kitchen area in the next few months (have about 10k budgeted for the project) & I will NOT be doing it with a BBQ Galore store. Even worse - 2 men walked into the store after I left & I saw Tom from my car smiling ear to ear showing the 2 men a grill. Tom - women grill to you know. Shame on you for being so rude. read more

I phoned this location on Monday this week to find out if they service and clean gas grills. They didn't bother returning my call. I guess I understand now why you only have a 3 star average rating. I'll remember not to step in your store when I'm ready for a new grill. read more

We went to replace our BBQ - I might have caught our old on fire. But that's a story for another day. We asked about a 3-4 burner replacement, something inexpensive. Tom directed us to exactly what we asked for, but then we asked "What's next?". We moved up through all the different lines and models, we never felt any sales pressure, Tom was very knowledgeable, and spent a lot of time answering all of our questions. We ended up with something that went above and beyond what we thought we wanted. Boy does it rock. Our BBQ was delivered later that week. We had a couple of warranty issues we tried to get addressed by the manufacturer with not much success. I called the store with my concerns and Josh Worley(store director) took my issues and ran with them. He went directly to the local rep for the manufacturer and I have since received apologies from the company. Josh has been amazing in his follow thru and following up with me and working with the rep from the manufacturer. I cannot speak highly enough about the amazing customer service we have received from the Grapevine location of BBQs Galore. We look forward to a continued relationship on accessories - because this grill should last our lifetimes! read more

This place is great! They did a giveaway for a free grill today! And 105.3 The Fan was there, doing their live show. Ben and Skin were hilarious as always. We bought lots of new seasonings and BBQ sauces and met the owner of the store. He's a very nice guy, and when we buy our next grill, it will definitely be from this place. After my first Capt'n Cook, 4 burner grill wore out after 15 years, I figured it was time to start looking for a new grill. What better place to start the search than Barbecues Galore? Josh walked me through a wide range of models that would fit what I wanted. Ultimately, I landed on the new Capt'n Cook. The new features are very impressive - 1) readily removable burners that are 50% more efficient, 2) new grate design that prevents flare ups, and 3) a special searing burner. Ordered a service assessment on my grill. Was promised a 2-3 day response. After a week I called back. Was told they use a third party and they'd be in contact with me shortly. After two more days the technician calls to confirm an appointment. He arrives as scheduled but then another week goes by. I contact the technician and he says he'll have his boss call me. Two more days and the boss calls me and says that the store in Grapevine has my assessment and they'll be in contact with me. Two more days go by so I call the store. The store manager say 'sure we've got your assessment right here.....to which I reply "after 2+ weeks I have to track down all these people to get the $99.00 service that I pre-paid for - I just want a refund!" The store manager says no. BBQ Galore is a rip-off!! I won't ever buy from them again!! ----- update: the day after I posted this review the store manager called me and gave me a full refund. Awful service. Ridiculous return policy. I will not give this company another dime. This coming from someone who spent thousands of dollars here and they still treat me like a 3rd class citizen. By the way, don't rely on their return policy posted to their website. Read the fine print on the receipt where it basically says a 20% restocking fee or no refund at all will be given to you depending on what product you buy... Then they up front admit to selectively enforcing this policy and they are selecting to enforce it on me... read more

Apparently I made a huge mistake. A bad experience about 15 years ago that took regional manager involvement to finally bring resolution. I spent over $2000 there last week. I was left with an improperly set up Big Green Egg, multiple false promises of getting someone out here to correct it, not even a return phone call from contract "technicians" ( one must use that term to describe unskilled/ unrealizable persons. I can't even get a call back from said persons. They acted like it was an unusual case but couldn't locate "springs" for 5he mechanism to close the dome. After calling and telling them they could either pick up their unusable product or immediately get someone out here after two days of dealing with false promises, I was then told that there is a recall of the springs for known problems, that the only store in town that had been sent by Big Green Egg was in Highland Park and they would "try to get some". Don't make 5he same mistake I did, review their poor history and do business elsewhere. read more

We bought a new grill to replace our older model turbo that fits in our island. They sent out the wrong style ( natural gas instead of propane) which is an honest mistake. But then were told that none of the new grills would fit in our island that we purchased from them years ago. So we decided to just replace the burners and igniter on the current grill. They were calling to see if they could get the igniter.. This was in May. We have called and returned to the store 4 times and they keep saying they will check on it. Still no results and its August. They were always very courteous but not concerned with helping us get our grill fixed after they lost their sale of the new grill. I like having the built in island that was expensive in the first place and would like to have a working grill to go with it! I'm done with them! read more
