Tried a new nail spot for the first time. The shop is super clean and easy to get an appointment. Something that's different from other shop is how they use a nail dust collector when they're working on your nail. The work itself isn't bad but I definitely see some small flaws when I look closely. But nonetheless, this was a good experience. read more

I tried this lash salon to use up my ClassPass credits, so I came willing to take a chance and trust in their Yelp reviews. First want to say, I think Coco does a great job placing lashes with skill and precision and without irritation afterwards!!! But, one thing I'll say is that the lash outcome was just not what I expected. Although I know sometimes the look can differ from the model or due to each artist's technique, but I was surprised when I first saw my lashes. I specifically asked for their "Camilla" for its similarity to sunflower lashes style (see their yelp photo posted by the business) that tries to accomplish a more natural wispy and varied length with some variance with individual lashes to open the eye. But my final look looked uniform like falsies with each lash identical to a Y. It's noticeable as someone who has gotten my lashes done for years and has been getting more natural styles recently. So I am almost certain she did the "YY" technique style on me instead. (It looks almost identical to their YY photo posted by the business on their Yelp). All to say, I don't think this is necessarily a reflection of their quality, but maybe technique, since it's not miscommunication bc they had confirmed with me she did Camilla. Looks good, but it's not my style. It's just not the outcome look I expected when paying additionally on top of my credits, so just mixed feelings! Edit: as response to business's reply. I had posted photos just to prove that the outcome and lash material used were clearly moreso YY than what is shown for Camilla. On the contrary, we had discussed before starting what effect I had wanted, so I was willing to pay the upgrade from classic to specifically Camilla. Camilla seemed natural in comparison to the 3D and up lashes. I tried to ask what the differences and effect were on the menu, and was told to make a decision based on the pictures without much more explanation and so I did. All to say, my review had complimented Coco's skills and shown fair and still beautiful photos, but it is a mixed feeling and experience I am pointing out of not getting what I asked for. I even communicated in Mandarin Chinese and Coco was comfortable to know she can speak to me in Mandarin if needing to recommend a change. My review is my opinion and was actually meant to offer a fair review on lashes for any future class pass clients like me. read more

Wanted to leave another review after seeing some of the other bad reviews saying the service was bad, they just spoke in Chinese and ignored people, etc. I have been here thru ClassPass at least a dozen times now. The staff is ALWAYS wonderful, asks me if I want anything to drink, asks how many coats of gel I want. Today I went in with some BUSTED nails that I've grown out pretty long, some snapped and it had been about a month since my last appointment (literally trying to stop the breaking with super glue). The girl who worked on my nails did some type of patch to keep them from breaking further and did wonderful. She did the little patch thing on 3 of my nails. Will continue to come here read more

Newest nail shop on the block! Can't miss the hot pink Barbie's Island window decor when coming down Main Street. So happened to be in need of a pedicure when we walked by and saw the 20% off sidewalk sign..SOLD! Popped our heads in and were greeted by a very friendly gentleman. Asked us to come back in 15 minutes when the nail tech would be finished with her client. When we returned, we were seated in massage pedicure chairs and offered beverages (soda, water, champagne, & beer). I'm totally taking advantage of that next time. I had a very thorough pedicure. This place is new to my neighborhood. I was initially not going to go in because I already have a local spot where I get my pedicures done. Plus I'm not a pink "Barbie" guy. But on the day we passed by, we saw that there was a 20% off grand opening special. That drew us in for sure. When we walked in, the gentleman at the front desk said my wife and I could come back in 15 minutes when the technician was done with a client. When we returned, we both were offered seats and drinks (champagne & or beer). My technician was Lyn and she did an amazing job on my feet. I felt like she paid extra attention to detail and focused on parts of my feet that hadn't been attended to previously. She even offered up some home remedies that I could try. I definitely enjoyed the session and would see Lyn again. I liked that I could pay with my card whereas my other place is cash or Zelle only. Only negative thing was that the man at the front desk didn't know how to operate the POS machine and didn't know how to utilize the tap to pay feature. read more

Last minute decision. To get me and my partners nails done. I never thought getting my nails done was fun until today! I was able to get exactly what I wanted and when my nails were being prepped, CoCO did it so well I didnt feel any pain! Usually I get snipped or cut, but she was the best! I started going to this place because I had class pass, and I liked their service. Since then, I have cancelled Classpass, but I continue to go there; it's been about three times since. Now I went today, and I understand the place can get busy, but when I first arrived, they were only working with one person. My daughter and I both went in for a gel pedicure, and she also got a white tip gel manicure, while I got a fill. As they got busier, the faster they worked to get to the next person, and the worse my nails got. I am unsure if I will return. My hand nails are chunky, and some are wider than others. For my pedicure, the nails are different sizes. I recommend going on slow days, such as business hours, rather than weekends, even if they are slow. Overall, the staff is friendly, but that is the only positive. read more

I had walked in without an appointment (oopsies) but they were still able to take me in for a pedicure. The ambiance is very calm and relaxing for sure, they offered me something to drink as well. The pedicure didn't take too long, maybe about 15 mins but Vivian was quick with it and very precise! It was $30 for my pedicure with removal of old polish. A month ago I was about to go on vacation, I barely had any time to get a pedicure before leaving town, I wanted something close to home since I was rushing and still packing, I called them past 6 pm for a same day appointment and the lady that answered the phone didn't hesitate to take me in. Is it not part of the job description as a nail tech and nail salon to take the nail polish off when you get nails done. Very backwards business model. This establishment needs to be taken off ClassPass! I needed to use credit and figure I would try this place out and would have probably came back. I wish I read reviews. Unfortunately every bad review is tied to ClassPass. I just had the worst manicure by Coco. Wasn't really greeted friendly. This was the driest manicure of my life. Just filed, cut my cuticles and painted my nails, all done dry. My hands felt dry. She put two coats and there were streaks. If I didn't mention anything Coco would have just moved on to the next step. When it came to drying the nails she put a fan on for 2 minutes. I wanted to stay kinder to dry because I didn't feel confident after 2 minutes they were good. She kept saying "okay" as a signal for me to leave. Obviously I smudged it by the time I got home. This was unfortunate because I truly wish I could highlight good things but ClassPass holders will not have a good experience or be treated equally as someone coming in without ClassPass, so save your credits. read more

I needed a manicure badly, decided on dip powder. I wanted to try Barbie's Island because it was new and looked quite appealing outside. I wasn't disappointed. A woman named Rose did my nails. She was light on the touch and thorough with making sure my nails were manicured, their shape precisely as I wanted (as well as matched the natural shape of my nails), the powder applied and finished evenly. The ambience is great, too! It looks spacious, cozy, CLEAN, and inviting. They play soft music with a relaxing reef scene playing on the screen. Their tools are clean and organized. They disinfect them in front of you and they use a freshly sanitized manicure set for each customer. I'll be back for a touch up. read more

I'm sad to share this review because I thought I had found my new go-to nail salon, but I won't be coming back here. My first visit was great, but the second visit was disappointing. I came with my mother to get our nails done. My experience (dipping powder and pedicure) was subpar - not terrible, but not excellent. However, my mother's experience was very disappointing. She requested Gel X nails with a design. The owner, who was helping her, seemed to rush through the process to attend to another customer who walked in. When my mom pointed out that the nails were not finished, the owner laughed and insisted they were, attributing the difference to the light reflection in the reference picture. My mom brushed it off, but it was clear she wasn't happy. The final result was far from the reference picture, with poorly done lines. I wish I would have gotten a picture to share. My mother was charged $90 for the Gel X set with poorly painted nail art. When we called back to ask if the nails could be fixed as we were not satisified (a standard practice at any salon), the owner sounded annoyed but agreed to fix it the next morning. When we returned, the owner's annoyance was evident. My mom politely explained she preferred a solid color instead of the nail art. The owner agreed but charged an additional $20, which my mom reluctantly paid. I'm writing this review because the owner's unwillingness to accept feedback since the first time my mother spoke up and the poor customer service were truly disappointing. Had the owner listened initially, my mom wouldn't have needed to return the next day, and we wouldn't have felt like we were an annoyance. read more

I had my Spa Pedicure here a few days ago and I loved it. They play some relaxing music, clean and the staff are very friendly. They offer free champagne and other drinks also. The technician trimmed my feet very clean. They are very good at dealing with ingrown toenails. My feet used to hurt when I walked, but now they are fine. The worst experience ever at a nail salon!Thought I would give this place a try as it was advertised on class pass.Made appointment thru the app and came exactly on time.Upon walking in there were 2 technicians heads down in their work.Not one of them greeted, said hi, offered help, nothing.Minutes of pure silence, as other customers just stared at each other not knowing what to do. So I started to look at nail polish, check out their colors as I'm still awkwardly waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. 2 other customers walk in, and same thing. No help or words from the workers. They finally start speaking loudly to each other in Chinese, yelling back & forth to one another in Chinese, still not acknowledging anyone in English. After about 10 minutes, 1 of the gals yelled loudly in broken English that we're all going to have to wait because "very busy". No one asked anyone's names, or if anyone had appointments, just pure disorganization and chaos. They didn't even understand what class pass was. Don't think they even cared. They had zero customer service and could care less that people were walking out. I too followed out the door, never again. Will not be returning nor recommend to anyone! Plus their prices are way too high for a place that lacks English or customer service. I ended up going to 4 Beauty Spa down the street who took me in right away, and they did a fast fabulous job for 20 dollars cheaper! read more
