I had a wonderful experience with Barcol doors. I shopped around and they came in noticeably less than anybody else and I got some beautiful doors to boot. Not one to complain, but, We paid for commercial door openers almost 2 year ago. Cal keeps replacing openers and they last may 4 or 5 opens and quit (junk) put a couple used old school in and work fine but left with 2 not working. Won't return calls, suppose to replace with used he has but it's always something when I catch him at work. I paid for new not my fault there vender is suppling junk. My garage door needs service and I have been getting excuses and then no call back whatsoever. Customer service is non-existent

Really poor experience. Contacted Barol Doors of Loves Park 2 weeks ago to put new seals around the garage door. They were out within a day to do the service. Unfortunately upon reviewing the work the tech had done - well let's just say it wasn't good. The tech when removing the old seal damaged the aluminum trim that goes around the door, numerous scratches and dents that matched up with the distance between the nails that were used to hold the trim pieces in place were found. In addition the tech "serviced" the garage door which was not requested. He did not install the correct bulb to replace one that had burned out (would have been anice touch if done correctly) and also over tightened one of the bolts on the garage door pulling it through the other side. I contacted Barcol doors 4 times over the next two weeks before someone came out to look at it. I knew that taking that long they would deny that they did the damage and I was correct. The service manager Carl contacted me indicating there was no way his tech could have done any of this. Now I need to find a reputable garage door company to repair the damage Barcol Door did. read more

I've used Barcol (Cal, Brandon and Sal) for years for new doors and repairs and will continue doing so. Thought I was going to have to invest in a new commercial door after catching it recently with the top of a tractor. Sal came out this morning and did an excellent job of of repairing the damage...even taking out some old dents in the door. Recommend them highly. read more

Absolute horrible experience from this Company. I would suggest that you never call them, and call somewhere else. Made an appointment on Friday. Was told someone would be out between 11-2. At 2:30 I called checking on the status, and was told the technician came back to the shop to get my parts, finish up the job he was on and would be over afterwards. No one showed up or even called. I sat around all day for a no show, no call !! Called at 4:05 only to get voicemail and an after hours number. Called both numbers and no callback all weekend. Called this morning to find out what happened, and got hung up on twice by someone who didn't want to hear what I had to say. Called back a third time and got the owner. He at least apologized, but the damage had been done already. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU WILL EVER EXPERIENCE !! Zero stars !!!! read more

Barcol was recommended by my neighbor when we had a problem with our garage door. Sal was great! He was prompt, friendly, professional, and courteous. We had two broken springs and weather strip that needed replaced. Now I will be recommending Barcol Door to everyone I know. read more

This company which has been around Rockford for a very long time needs help! No I mean help!! To answer calls and return calls. We ordered new garage doors and openers for both garage doors, one a double, one a single. The doors themselves are perfect, they have Windows and are very attractive. But the installers left the main door not operating and failed to put trim on the small door. Going on four weeks later and still waiting. I called and spoke to the person in charge and he said he completely understood and they just had to order the trim. So today the repair man comes out with the wrong trim, not his fault as he had had no communication from the person who took my call. Customer service totally lacking. If I didn't love the doors, I would have given them 1 star!! read more

These guys were great!!!! I called with a problem with a very old garage door. They came out and replaced it the same day. Very reasonable price for a top notch, high quality door. They even hauled off the old one for no charge. I recommend calling these guy first! Very professional group. read more
