Bard Coffee was a great find near my hotel. It's bright and fun with a friendly staff. My cappuccino was perfect and I loved my cold brew. Bard is very popular, but the long line moves fast. I'm looking forward to returning the next time I'm in Portland.

Coffee is good. However no options for real cups when drinking in. Also asked to borrow tag to wipe down table. Young guy came around and did a partial swipe rather than the entire table area. Busy with ample seating. Outdoor seating.

Best iced chai latte with oat milk that I've ever had. Perfectly spiced, delicate flavor, creamy oat milk, just the right amount of ice.

We stopped here to get an iced latte and a hot latte. Hot latte was pretty hot! Service was nice and friendly. Appreciated that it was one of the coffee shops that was open earlier in the morning!

First and foremost, for the holidays I love that right at the entrance they have an open shelf with canned goods and dry food for the community to contribute to or take from. That alone tells you so much about the heart of this place. A daily necessity. The only time I'm ever disappointed is when they sell out of their Banana Bread Latte. I still haven't been able to try it, but I already know it's going to be delicious. My go to order is a regular latte with oat milk and their house made Maine Maple syrup. Their hot drinks are always made at the perfect temperature so you can sip immediately without burning your tongue. And when I want something on the cooler side, I love that they have a nitro cold brew for that extra smooth finish. Despite how busy they always are, their service never wavers. The staff is consistently friendly and efficient. There's plenty of seating-- booths and high tops. Even with the plethora of people working on their laptop, I can almost always find a seat.

Overall a decent coffee, got a caramel latte & they put a nice lil design on it. Seating was ok. Great for a pick me up on the go.

2 friends and I stopped in here quickly around 4 PM to get a couple of the refresher teas and it was very refreshing. The coffee shop closes at 5 pm though just so people are aware. They had a bunch of different coffee options and snacks and it was very cute and cozy inside. I would definitely come back to try out other options on menu.

Bard Coffee has exceptional espresso, smooth, creamy, and rich. I normally order a plain latte cause it's so tasty! They had a luring season cinnamon pecan latte that I absolutely had to order and it did not disappoint. Get it hot with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top, it's the perfect blend of sweet and spice!

They put ice in my nitro brew coffee. If I would have wanted iced coffee I would have ordered a cold brew. The guy told me it's a dollar extra to get it without ice! Their coffee and service was the worst. The easiest coffee to pour and they ruined it by not knowing how it's served and a cocky attitude on top! When asking google "Is nitro suppose to be served with ice?" No, ice is generally not added to nitro cold brew because it dilutes the drink, ruins the creamy foam, and interferes with the signature velvety texture created by the nitrogen gas infusion. Nitro cold brew is intended to be served chilled but without ice, allowing the natural smoothness and richness of the coffee to be fully experienced. Exactly and that is why I posed this review! Do better. :(

A wonderful cup of coffee and ambience. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed the walk from the AC Marriott on the water. Lots of shopping close by.

Bard's sausage roll (pastry?) takes up too much space in my brain. More savory pastries, please!! Pros: location, takeout window, offerings of nondairy milk, single stall bathroom Cons: small menu, slow service, usually impossible to find a spot to sit down, staff isn't always friendly, nondairy milk can taste meh

Coffee was great -- smooth and strong. Place has that "craft coffee" vibe, which is fine, but $17 for two small coffees still caught me off guard. Barista had that too-cool-for-school energy -- not rude, just a little snotty. As a Gen X'er, I'm here for caffeine, not a coffee dissertation. If you're into third-wave coffee culture, you'll love it. That said, it was the second-best coffee I've ever had, and the product is strong enough to keep it at 4 stars.

They advertise themselves as all day cafe/bar and market. The vibes were perfect with an overall cozy and welcoming feel. It seemed like a spot many regulars come to often as the workers appeared to know many people who came through! They have a bar with roughly 8 seats, along with some tables. With the back of the store having goodies to buy including candles, self-care items, wines, drinks, and more. Worth browsing before or after your drinks and food. We snagged two bar stools and were immediately greeted and served water along with a menu. All three staff members were friendly and made us feel welcome. Drink wise my wife got an iced mocha while I saw their drink special of the month on social media and had to try it. Named The Blue Rose with Butterfly pea flower, cardamom rose, whole milk, pebble ice and espresso on top. A photo-worthy beverage with a delicious flavor. I would keep coming back for this drink for sure if it were a permanent menu item! Food wise my wife and I both got a breakfast sandwich, only difference she got bacon while I got the impossible sausage. Well made and delicious sandwiches that would make us return as well. I do wish they would have been a little bigger though. If our visit today was any indication of the typical my wife and I would gladly return! Friendly service in a great setting with well made food and drinks. Need to return to give their cocktails a try! A standout space in Portland.

We decided to come here for coffee and snacks before heading to the park for the morning with our toddler. We arrived around 9:30am and must've gotten lucky bc we walked right up to the bar and were helped by a super friendly gal and ordered coffees, a few pastries from their display case (I got a huge chocolate chip cookie cup stuffed with Nutella for later) and my husband ordered the Pastrami on Rye sandwich to go. We sat and waited about 15 minutes and watched the crowd grow as about 20 people came into order to go drinks and snacks and a few chose to sit at the patio tables out front for dine in. By the time we left they were warning folks that the kitchen was taking about 45 minutes for food bc of so many orders at once and take out. It's charming inside, with a large bar area with about 15 bar seats, and a few small tables. Cute decor on the walls all Duck-themed and friendly staff who were really bustling. Of note: the Pastrami sandwich my husband ordered was AMAZING. One of the top ones he's had and he orders them everywhere. The pastrami was hot and fresh and the rye was perfectly toasted. My 2-year old loved it. Ha! They have a nice menu of food items inside - with sandwiches, specials, and lunch/dinner options it looked like. I'd love to come back and have more time to chill, enjoy the vibes on a slow afternoon, and order some food.

After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There is parking avail for customers in the lot for 30 mins, we prob waited about 20 mins and crossed the threshold into baked goods heaven. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!
