Last year my ac blew out. I called and they were prompt to get to my house to deal with the issue. Condenser was at fault - a simple standard repair. However I got a $975 bill and a very aggressive sales tactic of up charging.. everything was wrong... I was told that my furnace had cracks and when I inspected the camera- none were present. I would die of carbon monoxide poisoning.... I figured quickly what was up. Ended the conversation paid and chalked it up to don't use that service again. Today the charged me $215 yearly service contract. If I asked a company to leave my house rather than deal with them, I would not use their product ever again. I had my credit card challenge and block the company. I called and requested the charges be reversed. Be careful what you sign and have done on your property! $975- condenser is insane. I am aware that this is a trained skill, products and knowledge of service require payments, but not this much! read more

My dad, is a previous customer of Bardi as he purchased 3 units and spent approximately $30,000 with Bardi last summer and highly recommended Bardi when my A/C went out. My dad made an appointment for me for Wednesday, June 26. Nicholas Turner came to my home and attempted to fix the unit. He told me that the transformers kept blowing. He said that he would come back the following day with more transformers and in-line fuses. On Thursday, June 27 he returned and was here approximately 2.5 hours. He stated that 7 transformers had blown, several fuses, and was still unable to fix it. He determined that the unit had been struck by lightning and that I would need an entirely new unit. He said that he could get someone out the same day to give me a quote. I then called my dad on the phone to pay the service fee. Nicholas told him it would be an additional fee as he spent more time in my home. My dad paid $189 via credit card. Later that day, Jimmy Wise came to my house, went to the attic to look at the unit, outside in my backyard, and corroborated Nicholas' claim that lightning had hit my unit. I received a quote of $14,757 for a new unit. I told Mr. Wise that I would call my homeowner insurance as they would cover a natural disaster. I spoke with my homeowner insurance on June 27. On July 1, I spoke with my claim adjuster. He advised me that the HVAC company would need to fill out a lightning affidavit form and send pictures of the unit, and model number. Upon receiving the affidavit via email, I immediately forwarded it to Jimmy Wise on July 1 at 9:40 am. Around noon, I called Mr. Wise and he told me that Nicholas was my HVAC tech and would be the one to fill out the form. Around 2:00 pm, I received a call from Nicholas. I told him about the form and pictures needed. He said he would need to come back out to my home to take pictures. In response, I told him that he had already taken several pictures and so did Jimmy Wise. I sent Nicholas the form via email on July 2 at 11:41 am. On July 3, I called the call center and asked about the status of the form. I was asked to send the form to callcenterteam@bardi.com and they would look into it and call me back. I never received a call. I called again on July 5 and was told the same thing. On July 6, my dad reached out to Nicholas. Nicholas told him that he would complete the form and email it back to me by Tuesday, July 9. On Tuesday, July 9 around 2:50 pm, I hadn't received the form so I called the call center again. I was told that Nicholas sent the form to the manager, Ezzy on the night of July 8. The call center rep told me that she would email Ezzy and request that she call me with an update. The rep did send me two emails at 2:57 pm with pictures of my unit. I never received a call from Ezzy. On July 10, my dad called the call center and was told that they would involve the manager, John Herrington. He was able to speak to John on July 10 at 5:02 pm. John informed him that legally they could not prove that my unit was struck by lightning as they had no evidence to support that claim. He said that it was more likely a power surge and they would fill out the form to state such and send it back to me. I called on July 11 around 2:30 pm, spoke with a call center rep, and was transferred to John Herrington. John informed me of the same thing he told my dad and said he would send me the form by EOD. I never received the form. I fully respect the legalities of why the form could not be filled out to say it was hit by lightning. I would like to point out that I did not make that claim. I am confused as to why two professionals with extensive experience in the HVAC field would initially make that claim if they were aware they could not prove it. Mr. Bardi, at this point I am extremely frustrated as my kids and I have been without a working air conditioner for several weeks in this Georgia heat and I feel like the employees at Bardi simply do not care. Two values of Bardi are "Honesty-do the right thing" which is stated as not just a policy but a promise and "Respect for our team and customers." I strongly feel like your company's values have not been upheld and that is unfortunate. I would have greatly appreciated it if I had been told that you all were unwilling or incapable of filling out the form for whatever reason, as that would have been honest and respectful. Bardi has lost me as a potential customer as well as my dad. In the future, it is my sincere hope that your employees can adhere to the professionalism and values that are proudly mentioned on your website. read more

I woke up to no AC this morning. Called Bardi, and Alex arrived a short time after. Very professional and courteous. Took him all of 30 seconds after entering the attic to diagnose my problem. A clogged drain line. He had our line cleared and AC running in no time. He wore booties to protect our floor, was very knowledgeable, and I was surprised it was not expensive at all. He cleaned our outdoor unit, checked the filter, tested coolant pressure, etc. I was so impressed with him, I jumped at the chance to sign a low cost maintenance agreement that not only covers my AC, but electrical and plumbing services as well. Poor work and dishonesty, enough to not use this company. Long story short, they made a mistake doing a job on our sewage line. They found out and didn't tell us before the city showed up to blast out a blockage further down the sewer line and sent everything into our house. They instead dragged their feet and didn't prioritize fixing their mistake because, well, it didn't make them any money. My wife and I spent nearly a month and a half bouncing around hotels and airbnbs while we spent weeks sending unanswered phone calls to Bardi, doing online inquiries for help that are still likely floating around the void of the interwebs. We spent thousands to keep a roof over our head during the holidays and all of January. We spent thousands to restore our home back to a livable condition. They then said it wasn't their fault and they wouldn't file a claim because "our premiums would go up." After threatening legal action, and reminding them we had recorded all phone calls in which they promised to file a claim with their insurance, cover our expenses and get us back into our home... they filed a claim. It took them nearly two weeks to do so. Again, only after they saw an impending lawsuit were they motivated to make it right. After filing a claim and the ball was rolling with that, our reimbursement was delayed because the adjuster said they were providing a written statement, 1 whole month later, that they provided us with the information about the mistake they had made prior to the city showing up. We had to provide the adjuster with a recorded phone call that proved we had no knowledge to get our money back, and last I heard was that they were no longer sending in such a statement as I'm sure that would be considered insurance fraud. Again, they are dishonest. They do poor work. They lack communication abilities. Their customer service is useless. They will protect themselves over you in the event they do something wrong that causes catastrophic damage to your home. Please, please PLEASE go with literally anyone else. read more

Unfortunately, HVAC systems are complex and diagnosing them completely doesn't always happen on the first round. Fixing one part can lead to finding the failure of another. Ultimately, we are very happy you have your system working at this at time and you are comfortable in your home. ********* FACTS: On May 24, 2024, I submitted an email to Bardi at callcenterteam@bardi.com to request an Itemized Invoice and did NOT hear back from Bardi. On May 27, 2024, I contacted Bardi at 770-263-9300 to follow-up regarding my previous email inquiry. I was informed that Bardi's policy is to NOT provide an Itemized Invoice, HOWEVER, Bardi provided an "Updated Invoice" on June 7, 2024, again with my SIGNATURE transferred/included to the updated document WITHOUT my acknowledgement or consent, dated the date of service; May 22, 2024. It was improper for Bardi to transfer my ORIGINAL signature on any updated invoice. Additionally, an email inquiry was submitted to Customer Service, Client Center Manager, Accounts Payable Specialist and CEO on May 30, 2024, regarding the matter. On June 7, 2024, you (Bardi) advised that a Warranty Claim had been submitted, however, PER THE MANUFACTURER, a Warranty Claim has NOT been submitted or on RECORD to-date. Please advise. The SECOND ROUND/Assessment by Bardi on May 23rd still was NOT the correct diagnosis with a proposed cost over $2,100.00 with my warranty. So, based on your statement Bardi would have conducted MULTIPLE ROUNDS/Assessments to find the CORRECT diagnosis, at the continued COST to me (the customer). There are fine print conditions and there was no mention of these when the service was booked. They showed up four hours late and asked for $900. My very old a/c unit stopped running. technician came out said it was wiring but not worth fixing as unit so old the thermostat was not working which he replaced with a simple 26dollar one which he went to Home Depot to get instslled said it would be cool in a few hours but couldn't guarantee it would continue to work.it would not turn off hot to 60 degrees. My wife and I purchased an annual maintenance agreement with Bardi ($378/year) to service the 3 systems in our home. On November 4, a Bardi technician arrived and inspected the systems for the first of two annual inspections. The technician indicated that he discovered a cracked heat exchanger on one of the systems and shut the system down (almost in a state of panic). We were okay with this as a precaution, and a sales representative came out later the same day and quoted a replacement system. Since this is a big-ticket purchase, we elected to obtain another quote. The next business day, we contacted another HVAC contractor for an second opinion and this second company could not validate the 'cracked heat exchanger. Regardless, we selected the second HVAC provider to install a new system and purchased their annual maintenance agreement. Subsequently, we cancelled our maintenance agreement in writing and verbally with Bardi while requesting a refund of $189 (one half of the $378 for the second 6-month inspection). My wife has contacted Bardi multiple times and Bardi has agreed to 'cut a check this Friday' which has yet to be received. Bardi phone personnel fails to allow a conversation with a decision maker and/or the calls will not be returned. We're seeking our refund of $189 immediately which Bardi has failed to do. read more

Had a wonderful lady named DeeDee come today from Bardi after another plumber was out yesterday and although the news was bad, she came in, introduced herself and went about diagnosing what was causing a backup into my bathtub. she had a camera that went into the pipe and found where the camera stopped, there was a clog caused by either a collapsed pipe or shrubs roots in the pipe. She was very professional, polite and most of all efficient. Best plumber I've had out to my house in life. Her confident attitude from jump reassures me that she was the one to know what was going on. I have a contract for regular maintenance, Spring and Fall. Bardi called and scheduled my Spring service several weeks out for a specific day, anywhere from 12-5pm. The day arrived, I waited, they never showed. I spent my day waiting around the house and at 4:05pm I received a call that the tech could not make it. No reasons. Bardi will text you when the tech heads your way but you rarely have more than 15-20 minutes notice so you need to stay close. Your day is committed to the house. When I showed my frustration, I got a call later with an offer of $50 credit toward a future service. So, I guess my time from 12pm-5pm is worth $50. I wonder what Bardi charges for 5 hours?????? They charge more than that for the maintenance call. I have had hefty repair bills over a couple years from Bardi so it's not like they have not profited from me but I guess I am not worth much. read more

I (currently) have a maintenance agreement with them. They came out to service my 1 year old system (purchased from them). They found an issue with the flame sensor, a part that retails for $11.00. The tech had to go and buy the part from a supplier, so I understand having to pay for his time and expertise in installing it, but it took less than 10 minutes! They charged me $488 which I thought was outrageous! On top of that, they tried to charge me $127 for a filter that retails for $20! I feel like they tried to steal from me with this! Scott Patton showed up the next day and gave me a NO HASSLE pricing (4 Quotes) never once pressured me or anything. I got a new system installed the very next day. The Technicians that showed up where Mitch Mitchell and Josh. I am in the service field and these are 2 of the best technicians I have ever had. Very professional and supper knowledgeable. They had my system installed in less then a day and cleaned everything up. Thank you all for helping me get a new A/C to keep my family cool in this 100 degree weather. Paid $91.52 dignostic fee. Technician came and gave a $2922.40 quote to install a new water heater. He didn't even know the Model number, BTU, number of years warranty. He gave a random model number (couldn't find that model anywhere using google search) after I constantly insisted for the modell number. Received the quote via email that just says "50 Gallon Gas/Electric". I never expected a company sends a technician who doesn't know these basic things and expect the customer to spent around $3K without even providing basic details for the customer to do research about that product. Have had numerous issues since initial install by Bardi. We had a zoned system installed. Bardi has had to return to my home so many times to fix problems I lost count (over 20). Ducts falling off unit, zones not working properly, incorrect thermostat installed, new zone panel, dampers opening incorrectly, was supposed to be a smart system and isn't. Bardi was at my house so often the neighbors were inquiring and giving me a hard time. Not to mention they automatically renew their annual service contracts without notice. read more

Last week when the fall weather struck and it was a little chilly I turned the heat on the house for the first time. To my disappointment the heat never got hot, so I knew I had a problem. With old man winter fast approaching I decided that it was time to call someone in to fix my heater. First I called Sears who wanted $69 to come out. Fine, but Sears could not make it out for another week to check out my unit. Then at work one of my coworkers suggested Bardi Heating and Air. I gave Bardi a call and they were out that same day to look at my unit. The first of Bardi's staff to arrive was the HVAC tech Chad. Chad worked on my furnace for a good hour before telling me that the heating coils were shot and sadly I would need my furnace replaced since it was such an old unit and the coils were no longer manufactured due to government regulations and energy conservation bills. So Chad set up an appointment with Keith the sales guy to come out and sell me a new unit. At 4pm that same day Keith arrived. Keith took his time looking over the unit inside the house and the outside unit as well. He took all the measurements needed, then sat down with me to go over a few questions used when determining what type of new unit was best for the customer. After this he showed me several units they had available. I ended up going with an efficiency heat pump that is suppose to dramatically reduce my power bill. The unit's cost was around $5700, but after discounts it came out to be $4360 installed. Yesterday morning I was expecting the installers to arrive around 8am, so I got up and got dressed and was headed to grab some coffee around 7am when I walked out to find Joseph about to knock on the door. He was there early and ready to get to work. A little while later Santos arrived with all the equipment needed to install the new heat pump and furnace. Joseph and Santos worked all day, finally finishing installing the unit around 5:30pm. They really worked their asses off; as not only to install the new unit, but also rewiring the house so that the unit would work properly. I might be out of a lot of money, but I have heat now! I would highly recommend Bardi, they really know their stuff. read more

I had a technician come out to give me an estimate on replacing my HVAC system. He arrived as I was getting an estimate from another company. He only spent about 15 minutes at my home and told me he would send me the quote by email later that day. He confirmed my email address and left. I never received the quote from him so I called the next day and asked for it. I didn't get it so I called back and asked again. She said she would send it right away. After another two hours, I called again. I was told to check my spam or junk folder and I did, but nothing there from Bardi. I was again told that it would be sent soon. It's now 4 hours later and still no estimate. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. Very unresponsive and unprofessional. read more

This company took advantage of my 101 year old Veteran grandfather. They replaced his heater with a smaller, weaker unit. We called Bardi to address some HVAC and plumbing issues at our home. While the technicians that showed up were excellent in both instances, the final pricing for the services we received were extremely excessive. We were in the middle of doing numerous maintenance items in our home and did not do our due diligence on paying attention to the pricing. I have since done the research and discovered we paid 2x to 3x what we should have been charged for simple services. We were charged over $1200 dollars to install two float switches on our upstairs HVAC units. On the high end, I have discovered this should have been around $300 for each switch (including labor). In addition, we were charged more than $600 dollars to snake a slow moving bathtub drain and $400 dollars to install and replace a basic shower spout. Due to extreme, excessive, over- pricing, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

STAY AWAY from Bardi....I was a new customer and had a technician come to my home to give me an estimate for some plumbing services. He was young, inexperienced and out of his element in representing this company. When asked if he had the materials to do the repairs, he replied, "nobody else wanted to work today, so they sent me." "I am in a truck that does not have the supplies I would need." Excuse me???? He was unable to give me an accurate estimate and attempted several times to input the data into his IPad. Each estimate he gave differed by thousands of dollars and he clearly was not trained on their software. The worst part of this company's lack of professionalism was that this representative came into my home without a mask and did not offer to put one one. In this day and age of Covid, he should have shown up in a mask. I have no confidence in the quality of this company's representatives. They are not trained, unprofessional and have not respect for the health and safety of their customers, something they advertise as taking pride in.
