Food - 4/5 - We ordered the Ahi tuna tartare to share and some garlic fries. Those were big hit at our table. Each person ordered their own entrée--I ordered a beef satay sandwich and a blueberry lemon drop cocktail. The sandwich came on a baguette and it was good but I don't feel like it was to the price point that it was. Price - $$ + 1/2 $ - This restaurant is a bit on the pricier side but it is still as expected. I don't think this is a place that would be considered budget friendly per say. Service - 3/5 - The servers primarily left us alone and it was a bit difficult to flag them down when we needed to ask for something. They weren't inattentive, just not as available as one would expect. The servers were super friendly though and their customer service was nice. Ambiance - 4/5 - I will say the atmosphere is very nice and quite intimate so it is great for you to come with a group of friends to catch up together. Location - 2/5 - Located in the Claremont Village, parking is a bit confusing for those who are not familiar of the area. Lovely patio for a nice night. My boyfriend had the beef short ribs and I tried it and it was delicious. I had the cod and it was terrible. The fish was small, discolored and not flavored well and the rice was mushy and the bok choy was not cooked well. For $34, it was a big mistake. The servers were incredibly helpful in some ways (they cut the cake we brought for my friends bday, awesome!) and in others inattentive (had to ask for silverware and drink refills). My sisters got the Gorgonzola burger and neither one of them finished it. We also ordered a creme brûlée waffle to share. That was probably the best part of the meal but still not amazing. Sorry, the service has to be right for me to drop coin. A couple who was seated five minutes after us was with open menus were tended to. Ours were closed as we had already selected our choices. I kept waiting but no luck. So many other spots to go to. Vibe looked right but the music wasn't even good. Do better, make eye contact. I really don't care about tasting the food. We came here for a date night. To start off the evening, we had drinks at the bar. They make a very nice old fashion. We didn't have to wait long for a table, about 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Our server was nice but seemed a bit stressed. We placed out orders and enjoyed the atmosphere of being seated outside on the patio by a fire. I had the black cod and my husband had the filet mignon. My lucky day! My wife and I were off to lunch in one of our favorite SoCal villages, Claremont! My wife is one leg of the threesome of long time friends and retired insurance women. And, so it was that I was blessed with the company of three beautiful fun ladies. We were visiting Jill who grew up in Claremont and returned a few years ago so we had a guide and she wanted to have lunch at Bardot. From the sidewalk you first see a large outside covered dining area, but we chose a cozy booth inside. The hostess showed us to a nice booth away from other guests dining inside. Both hostess and server we're appropriately masked, happy to see us and very helpful with the menu. I don't recall precisely what the ladies ordered, I do recall that each wanted a variation, addition or substitution of some salad on the menu. Our server happily obliged all the special requests. I had a fish and chips with a local beer. Claremont isn't exactly a fishing village, but the cod filets were as tasty and fresh as I have had anywhere in Seattle. The batter was light and tasty too. First-time reviewer here, and I'm excited to share my experience at Bardot! I have to start by highlighting our waitress, Tara. She was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also warm, friendly, and an absolute delight. She guided us through our options, making sure we found something we'd love, and her banter and laughter made our night even more memorable. I'm so grateful to have had her as our server. As for the food, I ordered the Sea Bass, which was top-notch, delicious and perfectly cooked. My friends enjoyed the Salmon, although I personally didn't care for the couscous and veggies since they were served cold, but the salmon itself was well-prepared and tasty. We sat outside, soaking in the quintessential SoCal sunny vibe. As the evening rolled in, the shades came up, the fires were lit, and the lighting transitioned to a cozy, intimate glow. I met some friends here for dinner and was so happy to try it out. The decor is fun and the booths are very comfortable. They have a nice bar and outdoor seating, but we didn't want to sit out there on a hot day. The food and drinks were fabulous which is why I gave Bardot five stars. I wasn't impressed with the service which would honestly bring my review down a star. It wasn't as attentive as I thought it should be. The Goat Cheese Lollipops are amazing. I would go back just for those. My friend and I shared the mussels which were fresh tasting and were cooked in a lovely broth. We also each had a Duck Taco. I would highly suggest those. We also had the crème brûlée waffle (forgot to snap a pic) which was rich & decadent it's a lot of custard, yet the waffle was light and fluffy. It was filled with a very nice variety of meats, cheese, and fruit. It was a great starter. I then ordered the Short Ribs. My wife chose the Shrimp Linguine. She was pleasantly surprised at how fresh her linguine was. My short ribs were cooked perfectly. The nest was very tender and tasty. Friends decided to come here for a bachelor party. With how my previous experience went, I ate before so as not to become hangry with the long wait despite reservations. To my surprise, they not only had our table ready, but we were able to be seated 30 min prior. We had a long table in the back, beyond the bar area, and it was as private as it could be without it being private at all. Our waitress was amazing. I forgot her name, but man, she was on top of everything, including drinks, appetizers, entrees, and more drinks. There were about 13 of us, and she did amazingly. Also, evidently, the front desk person was accomadating and checked in with our plans several times in the week prior to our actual reservation. So that was nice. I ordered their lamb. And it came out beautifully. Multiple large lamb cuts. Cooked well. Extremely tender!! And the sauce it was laying in was just amazing. This dish is expensive but it was well worth it!!! Drinks could use some help. I ordered 2 whiskey drinks, and I just wasn't wowed. But the sangria was good as well as the forbidden fruit drink and the other rum based drinks. Their menu is inclusive of any price points. From burgers for $19 to steaks in the $40's and other well made dishes all between those price points. With how our night went and the customer service and the superb food and price in general, I was surprised!! With 14 of us, all with entrees, multiple appetizers and multiple drinks each, after gratuity it was still under $900. Always love coming to Bardot. I have only come here during work lunches so I cannot speak for what it might be like in the evening time. Both times I came for lunch I was sitting outside. They have misters outside, so if you are hot you are covered. Even on a hot day, with covering and shade, it is nice. The wait is never really long to get seated around that time. I ordered different things on the items and I will say, nothing is bad on the menu thus far from the things I have tried. The prices range from $15-25 depending on what you order on the lunch menu - entree-wise. Would recommend coming here for a quick lunch bit to eat! read more

We went for brunch and order the Berries and Creme Brülee Waffle, and the French Toast. The Waffle was a 8.9/10!! For only $13, the creme brûlée was the perfect sweet addition to the waffle, and had both a hard exterior that made it crunchy, and the creamy interior that was to die for & the waffle was also the perfect texture and was everything I could ask for. And the whole dish was very filling!! Would definitely get it again!! I highly recommend if you like sweet/ breakfast food & The french toast was a solid 7.3/10! Very soft on the inside, and added with the syrup it all just melts in your mouth and creates the perfect texture. It was only $10 and was very filling and satisfying! If you're a fan of french toast then you should definitely get it. All in all, we expected Bardot to be on the more expensive side, but if you go for their brunch and get these items then you are definitely getting delicious items for a good price! I've been here a few times for brunch and once for dinner. This place is always super busy so I recommend trying to make reservations ahead of time or show up early to put your name on the waitlist. The seating area inside is very cute with their oversized seats. They also have a large, shaded outdoor seating area with misters on hot days. Street parking is available but gets filled up quickly on the weekends. I thought the "Egg Dishes" options on their brunch menu were very basic. I was hoping their menu would be more interesting since they are such a popular establishment. We went with the smoked salmon omelet and the eggs benedict. I wanted to try the crab burger but it wasn't available that day. Honestly, the ambiance is nice but the food is just okay. The sour cream in the omelet overpowered the dish so we couldn't even taste the smoked salmon. The benedict was underwhelming and our fingerling potatoes were burnt. Our egg dishes weren't too impressive but I would consider coming back to try their other brunch items in the "Small Plates" section of the menu. read more

It had been several months since I'd dined at Bardot's. Given my previous pleasant experiences, I invited my new friend to dinner at Bardot's. She acquiesced, and off we drove to Claremont. Dear Reader, Let me put it this way: The best part of tonight's dinner was the olive oil I requested to moisten the heap of dry pasta served me. The rest of my dinner? Not so much! But, ey! The Caesar's salad was moist. How 'bout that? My date could not be more polite and understanding, even when the overly "lamp-heated" calamari was placed on our table. It was a pile of dry leathery looking calamari. I informed her this was not the Bardot's I'd dined in before. Given my pasta plate's condition, I lost my appetite and ate about 1/16th of the portion. Bardot is by far my favorite restaurant in the downtown Claremont area and I always make sure to stop by when I'm in town for a cocktail & a quick bite to eat. I think what sets apart Bardot from the other restaurants in downtown is their friendly service and up-scale yet still casual ambiance. Their bartenders are very knowledgeable and don't hesitate to recommend drinks they think I would enjoy. One bartender, Ryan, is especially helpful and talented. Well, the wife finally got me to try one of her favorite "girlfriend" spots. We went to Bardot on Sunday afternoon for "linner" and to celebrate our anniversary early. We ended up sitting in the outside area, even though it was a bit cool out. The area is heated with overhead IR heaters an more than a few propane stand heaters which look like giant table lamps. We were adequately warm throughout our meal. The ambiance is nice and comfortable, allowing us to people watch as we dined. The menu is not overly large, but the food offerings were well represented. I opted for the ribeye steak with roasted Brussels sprouts and scalloped potatoes, and she had the Salad Niçoise; both excellent choices, but not inexpensive. Our meal ran about $150 with 2 $18 cosmos and a well deserved 20% tip. The couple at the table next to us ordered a pasta plate and a burger, both of which looked absolutely delicious. As we were leaving, we met Michael, who was sitting at the bar, and his handsome and well behaved American Bully dog, who was being loved on by the staff. Michael said that he is a Sunday regular and was pleasant to speak with. All in all, I will return to try some other tantalizing menu items. On a Friday night we were lucky enough to get seated instantly. The waitress also asked for our orders in a timely matter and had other waitresses make sure we were taken care of. I am taking off a star because the flies were ALL OVER outside on the patio, hard to keep them off your food and because the steak tartar was beyond bland and not anywhere near worth $17. I'm a super picky mix drink drinker and he made the BEST espresso martini I have had away from my house. It could have been bigger for $11 but 5 stars for flavor and foam. We moved outside for dinner and our server (a lovely creature with purple hair) was wonderful. She was attentive, patient, offered suggestion, catered to our whims and was just all around great. Sorry I didn't get her name but if you work there, she deserves a raise and if you're visiting and see her, sit in her section, you won't be disappointed. Also for apps we got the ahi, ceviche and escargots. All were fab and would order again! The ahi was delicious with hime made guac and a chili oil that lent a perfect spice. The escargots were in a creamy garlic sauce that we literally licked out of the pot. It was delicious and the snails themselves were mixed with mushroom. All of which were good textures!! I did not actually eat the ceviche but the girl that had it said it was delicious I ate the whole thing. There was a slightly spicy sauce on the side and she added that sparingly and she enjoyed it. Their soup of the day was mushroom. Which I love mushrooms and our server was once again amazing bringing us a sample of both that and the tomato bisque. Unfortunately, the mushroom soup needed a lot of seasoning and we opted for the tomato bisque which was perfect. Two of us got bowls of that and I also got the croque. The soup was fantastic. It was right in between a creamy and a purée. Seriously had some amazing flavors and I just loved it. The croque was very crispy and the Greer with beautifully melted. It was perfect for dipping in the soup. My mom got the pork chop. The sauce is a lovely Demi glaze and the meat was delicious. Perfectly cooked an excellent portion size. It also came with roasted potatoes and roasted Brussels. The Brussels were so so good. I'm a Brussels fan but they were just cooked really well. My brother got the short rib dinner. I actually didn't have any because he cleaned up the entire plate before I could steal a bite but it was beautifully presented with mashed potatoes, long skinny roasted carrots and peas. The colors on the plate were amazing. Basically we all left there and groaning and having to unbutton your pants. The atmosphere was good and every employee we came in contact with was super friendly and welcoming. And I think that's an extra redeeming quality about at a restaurant.
