So we usually love this place and enjoy the food and service - we went in this past Saturday night and frankly was disappointed in both - had a reservation at 6:00pm and location was not too busy - our server was nice but didn't know the drink menu as well as she should have, didn't even know how to pronounce their vodka's- my wife and I split a carbonara which is usually great- we did get charged an extra $5 to split it - dish was a little bland and lacked the awesome flavor we like - might have just caught them on a bad night but Saturday night at prime time is not when you should- overall is a solid location but hope it's not a trend

Such a cute Italian spot! I came here for dinner with a friend, and we were both pleasantly surprised by how great the whole experience was. Our server, Donielle, was amazing! so friendly and you can tell she really loves working there. She even wore little martini earrings just for half-off cocktails Thursday ... such a fun touch! She recommended the Chicken Picatta, and wow... one of the best I've ever had. We paid the extra $5 to split the dish for two, and the portion was huge. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and worth every bite. Also, the grilled tomatoes were to die for (mouth watering) seriously, it felt like eating a pizza without the carbs, just healthier and sooo delicious. Can't wait to come back with my family and basically try the whole menu. Highly recommend Allegro if you're looking for great Italian food, warm service, and a cozy vibe.

The service was excellent and attentive throughout the meal, but unfortunately the food did not meet expectations. The interior decor was average and lacked a memorable atmosphere for an Italian restaurant. We started with the salad, which tasted bland and uninspiring. The seafood pasta was especially disappointing -- the clams and mussels had a strong unpleasant smell, and we could not even finish the dish. The carpaccio was also below average, as the meat was not soft and delicate like good-quality carpaccio should be. Overall, despite the friendly service, the dining experience was not enjoyable enough to return for another meal.

Allegro has gotten its food mojo back! All delicious from the appetizers to the Caesar's salad to the delicious perfectly cooked salmon. Great service from J and H. Will be 5 stars when they preheat the entree plates and stop over-air conditioning the main dining room.

We went again today to celebrate my mom's birthday and once again everything was awesome. The food was delicious and served hot. Our server, Andrea, was friendly and attentive. She kept us up to date on where our food and drinks were in the process. One of our orders of calamari wasn't hot so she took it back and brought out a hot order. My mom had a great time and everyone was happy.

Great little small place, we have been here a few times. My favorite is the pesto pasta, delicious, pesto sauce really good. Garlic cheese bread we ordered because they ran out of the bread basket, but not too bad... The service however was very slow. The waitress took forever on everything. And she didn't even come back for the 2nd half of our meal, we had to ask another waitress where she went off, and I guess it was her break we were like thanks for letting us know. Overall not a bad place for food and drinks, happy hour is great, just need to work on service.

First off have to say Jenna is a legend of a server. She is kind, witty, and attentive. The restaurant overall has a classy vibe. You can show up in shorts and a t-shirt no harm no foul. However you can go fancy too. They have a lovely bar. Tonight I tried the meatballs. I am picky about my meatballs. Please do not take this wrong. They were not amazing. I love meatballs that have a good sear going all around before being baked in sauce. The texture of them felt undercooked even though they were completely cooked through. The chicken piccata yum!!! Perfect sauce best I have ever had. The amount of food you get for the price is wonderful. They have a new cake desert that is very light and airy perfect for summer. Has mango gelatin on top with light vanilla mousse with a very thin airy cake and creamy strawberry base it's delightful. Thank you Jenna for an incredible service night. See ya later hand twin haha

LOCATION: At the heart of downtown Upland, Allegro is the center and there are parking spots in downtown but may be harder to find on busier days. We didn't have a hard time finding parking, it's pretty spacious. SERVICE: We called in to make a reservation and it was pretty simple and had no wait when we got there. It seemed pretty busy that night as well so I would recommend making a reservation if you can. Service was great! We had Sam and she was very accommodating and checked on us frequently. Everything was fairly timely, not too fast or too slow. Weekend service may be a little more busier. The ambience inside is great and has a Spanish lowly dimmed setting. FOOD: the portions were a lot bigger than I thought! I got the chicken parm and it was generous! I usually eat my plate and my wife's leftovers but it filled it me up. The first one was a little burnt and they were accommodating in making a new one. The surprise was the bacon wrapped figs! They were delicious! Take advantage of their happy hour with discounted appetizers and their weekly specials. I got a glass of wine for $7 as the Wednesday special. The ahi was great and the crème brûlée did not disappoint as the finishing touch. If you are in Upland or surroundings areas and looking for a great ambiance restaurant with generous food, highly recommend giving Allegro a try once!

Are they take out only right now or have they opened dining yet?

Indoor and outdoor dining is available 7 days a week.

Do they have a private room for wedding receptions?

No. The restaurant itself is small, maybe 18 to 20 tables. Can probably put tables together, but not enough for a wedding reception. They might close the restaurant for special parties??

A friend I met many years ago at a wine tasting invited me to a Burgundy wine class at Packing House Wines, and I attended. The store is located up a few steps on the north side of the Claremont Packing House. Parking is usually not an issue as there is a big multi-level parking garage on the east side of the packing house. All attendees sat down to a list of wines to be tasted, a printed out copy of the slides being presented, a big burgundy wine glass for pours, water, and a nice little charcuterie plate. The owner Sal gave the presentation, and it was easily the best wine class I have ever attended. He talks pretty fast, but not too fast, and his delivery was excellent, providing an extensive amount of information that was easy to understand. We pretty much learned everything about Burgundy wines from the history of the region, the stringent production laws, different classes of Burgundy wines, and details about all of the different producers and regions we tasted wines from. The class was scheduled for two hours, but it ended up lasting for two and a half hours. It would have been easy to stay for much longer as the class and wines were very enjoyable. The wine class was a little pricey at $125 per person, but this was a bargain as Burgundy wines are expensive. We were able to taste ten 1.5 ounce pours including several Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines (one of them was $350/bottle). My favorites were the '17 Albert Bichot Fixin ($53.99) and the '20 Domaine Lecheneaut Vosne Romanee ($124.99) which I purchased. They have wine classes regularly, and I will definitely return if one catches my eye. They have quite a selection of wines for sale, as well as tasting flights and food from their kitchen.

We were first introduced to one another by the previous owners, Mary and Jim, during one of their events--little did we know those introductions would grow into lifelong friendships. Over the years, our Wednesday Wine Nights became a tradition we all cherished. When we learned that the shop was going up for sale, we were understandably nervous. We wondered what would happen if it didn't sell--where would we go? And if it did sell, what if the new owners changed the shop in ways we didn't love? What if we didn't connect with them the way we had with Mary and Jim, who had become family to us? Then it happened, the shop sold. We were introduced to Maria and Veronica, and it was truly love at first meeting. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming women, and they have brought fresh ideas and wonderful energy to the shop. Our Wednesday Wine Nights continue today, and we are grateful to have gained new friends in Maria, Veronica, and their families, who help run this warm, family-operated business.
