Back again, this time with another couple, Diane and I again enjoyed excellent Calamari FrittI, along with a very good Shrimp Cocktail as starters, but Asiago Potatoes were not that well liked. Complimentary bread tasted very good either with butter or a great housemade and orange-colored Tapenade. Diane did enjoy her entree of cheese-filled and creamy Tortellini Contadina, and my expansive Osso Buco was excellent after I finished a pretty good bowl of Tortellini Brodo. An amuse bouche prepared by the chef was also tasty. I was pleased with my dessert of Peach Tart A la Mode. And Blackberry Jasmine Iced Tea washed everything down well. Great birthday venue this year. We got in at 5pm and were seated just about anywhere- they open at 5pm We had a nice table with bread and a spread that had olive oil in it. It was different and tasty. They had a lot of alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic beverages also. They had a bar and some outdoor seating. We had the wedge salad chopped up and we shared it. It was delicious and had a great amount of dressing mixed into it. Our meal was Spaggi Spaghetti and Salmon - which came with mashed potatoes (no gravy or sauce), And steamed veggies, which were cooked well. The Salmon had a glazed sauce and was delicious and excellently cooked and was a good portion. The spaghetti had a light marinara sauce with a lot of tomatoes It was good, perhaps the marinara could have been a bit more thicker and seasoned. Otherwise, the pasta was cooked well and firm. I had a table water and wifey had a white wine Rose. Our meal was pleasant and my wife received a small Strawberry shortcake dessert as a complimentary birthday treat, which was a great touch. We would return here, and you all should visit when you are in the area. Lastly, the price set was average $20-40 a dish, which was decent. Nice service and a clean environment. We went to Spaggi's for Father's Day & everyone in our group of 6 had a great time & an excellent dinner. I called ahead of time 2 days before & ordered 3 of their Beef Wellington dinners that are not on the menu & must be ordered in advance. It was a big surprise for my husband & son, plus our grandson was anxious to give it a try, since he didn't ever have it before. It was a huge hit & a great surprise for the my husband & our son. Beef Wellington is something that you just don't see on the menu anymore, so that really made the whole evening a special event. If you like Spaggi's & you didn't know they served it, call ahead & give it a try, you won't be disappointed. After years of hearing about this place and having it on my list as a place to go, I FINALLY made it happen and was glad I finally went. It was a milestone birthday for my husband and we didn't feel like driving far so I was definitely glad that there was somewhere close to go to that was nice. We went on a Wednesday night and reservations were easy to get. Going in feels like a restaurant in Italy and I love Italy so this felt right at home for me. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari because I'd read a lot about it and it didn't disappoint. The chef also added some macaroni balls for us to try which were nice and creamy and not dry. Yay! To start, they brought us some bread and olive tapenade - yum, very nice way to start the meal. I could have been done with just this. My husband ordered a Screwdriver from the menu to drink but they couldn't make it, boo. For dinner, my husband ordered the tomahawk to celebrate his birthday. Go husband!!! The tomahawk was nicely sliced at the table and came with some really good mashed potatoes and veggies. He very much enjoyed it and enjoyed leftovers the next day also. I couldn't decide between the cioppino and the lobster ravioli so I got both. Didn't realize the cioppino was going to be so big. The flavor was a bit too sweet for me but the waiter brought us some peppers and that made an incredible difference. The lobster ravioli was just ok that day. I took it home and ate it the 2nd day and it was delicious the next day. For dessert, my husband ordered the Creme brûlée cheesecake and they also gave him a piece of carrot cake. This allowed him to finish his night very divinely. All in all, a great experience. I'd like to try some other things on the menu. Hopefully, next time my son is in town so he can experience it with us. Our waiter was nice and got us what we needed for the most part. Scott was our waiter tonight and he had the entire menu memorized along with specials which was pretty impressive alongside Ana the event coordinator that made us sure of who to go for needing vendor services. Great place to celebrate a birthday or if you are going on a date. The staffs were so nice and friendly. Service was top notch. They have breads on the house with housemade olive spread. Was so good. Visited Spaggi's back in August of 2024 and I was surprised to see that the location was in basically a strip mall, but the atmosphere inside made it seem like you walked into a completely different place than where you came from. Our server was really nice and attentive and was patient to share with us his recommendations. Table got the linguini pesto pomodoro and the braised short rib. I've never had anything quite like the linguini because my palate had been previously limited to pesto and tomato sauce separately up until now but it complemented each other so well. The richness of the pesto mixed with the acidic tomato made a surprising tasty combination. The short rib was made well! Very simple but in a way that I knew that it wasn't going to fail me when I first saw it. This might sound silly but the star of the table that wowed me was the olive tapenade (not pictured) and how good it went with the bread. What a lovely setting for excellent Italian. With a quiet atmosphere and Italian paintings, it's tempting to sit all night. The servers are always available and attentive without hovering. The wines offered by the glass were very good. The bread and olive spread are addictive. We had a great yellow tale appetizer. Finally, the main courses were absolutely delicious. It was a bit odd when we walked in as we stood near the entrance for about 10 minutes (was even passed by who I think was a hostess coming on shift) before we were acknowledged. Once we were seated for our reservation our server and the food redeemed our decision to dine here. The vibe is more intimate and a bit fancy with white table cloth. Good spot for a date night or a special occasion. Their osso buco was tender and delicious. Our kids enjoyed the accompanying pasta and the calamari appetizer we ordered. I have been following Chef Henry for more than 10 years. Chef Henry used to have a live food demonstration at the Pomona Fairplex in the Wine Competition Center. This popular event was discontinued, hopefully it will return. Chef Henry and his wife have a restaurant in Upland and a new Event Center for large gatherings in Fontana. The restaurant specializes in various pasta dishes, seafood and steak. I recommend the crab cakes for starters or a salad. Entrée: Seabass, Lasagna, aged Ribeye steak, or Beef Wellington. Try the Ossobucco, which was one of the best examples of this ATF ever. The composed salad, a tower of crudo salmon and golden beets, was also not to be missed. Started with a salad a crab cakes which I forgot to take pictures of. The food was great I got the lobster ravioli and my husband got the chicken Marsala everything on his plate was delicious but me being obsessed with potatoes I can tell these were instant and if they weren't they need to change that taste. Our server Chris was great thank you. The inside was nice, doesn't seem like it from the outside but it's a nice place for a date. Down side no full bar, drinks are from either a bottle or a can. Oh and it is pricey but overall it was good for Italian place. I'm giving this place 5 stars cause it's elegant, good food and good service. If I wanted a beer and chicken wings I'd go to a brewery and there's plenty of those around. So keep that in mind. read more

Anna and Henry are the owners and if they aren't the nicest people you have ever met you better show up with pictures of your nominees with halos around their heads or their titles need to be St. someone. My mom ran into some health problems and thankfully is fine now. Got her out of the nursing facility yesterday; today she wanted to go somewhere nice where they take care of you, and picked Spaggi's. A great meal, great service. But at the end Anna brought out a bag with some goodies/ a care package for us. The package had soup and two comfort food meals.
