    Bare Bones Special Salad

My Absolute favorite salad. The teriyaki chicken is full of flavor and pairs great with the salad and dressing. The service is great and the food always comes out super quick, hot, and fresh. I've never been here and had to wait for an astronomical amount of time to get my order. The ambiance is great as well, with plenty of seating and, a bar area with seating as well. They also have live music on the weekends which adds another nice touch of ambiance.

On a whim, we decided to stop for a quick drinks and snacks on a Sunday afternoon. Besides they advertised HH all day Sunday! We went in, got seated right away. The place was relatively quiet- only 3-4 tables that were occupied. We waited about 15 minutes before being acknowledged ( we almost left ). Then another few minutes before our order was taken. We ordered Nachos Grande - good portion, heavy on the toppings, & Boneless Wings which were good size meaty pieces & very flavorful. Our drinks however were not very good . Quite watery & tasted funny - we figured it was from the soda sprayer. Our server though was very efficient .

Customer service was great. The hostess and waitress were fantastic and attentive. However, that's it. The food had good portions but was subpar, lacked flavor, and was overall uninspiring. I didn't finish most of it because it was just bland even with adding salt and by the time I got to the car my stomach felt off and I was slighly nauseated. The prices are a little higher than expected and for the taste and quality I wouldn't return.

I love this little local gem! Service, staff and atmosphere are so fun. Live music Thursday-Saturday and the bands are always good. The new owner, Sunny is great and does a lot for the community. He is taking big strides to turn this place around! You will see him when you're in there coming around to the guests making sure you're good. He says Hi every time. Working my way down the menu, but so far I'm a big fan of the Barebones Famous Salad, Crab Pretzel & wings! Really good wings! Check it out next time you're in the mood for good vibes and good music!

This totally was not on our radar at the start of our day but somehow we ended up here. The restaurant is pretty spacious. We were seated in a booth in the bar. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient. We started with the starter ribs. It was delicious, so tender, and falling off the bone. My husband got the chicken wrap and I got the crab cake melts. The crab cake melts were on the special menu. Both were winners. This place is not right around the corner from us but definitely would consider this as an option if we are in the area.

My first time here and was really hoping the marginal reviews were wrong, but unfortunately, they were true. I was here to see a live band play and was starving when I arrived and also wanted a cocktail or two. I ordered a mule, and it was 90% water and 10% ginger beer. Zero alcohol and a rotten lime. Ew, David! I figured chicken tenders were probably a good bet, as they probably come from a big bag of frozen and are just popped in a fryer. They were okay. The chips and dip was literally chips from a bag and queso from a jar with some pickled jalapenos on the side. Buffalo wings. Meh. House Salad? It was surprisingly fresh and good. Yay for the salad being decent. The venue for bands and dancing is very small, but the crowd (definitely middle to upper age) had fun. Service was excellent until we wondered aloud about one of our entrees being on our friend's separate ticket, which she was going to pay for anyway - until the server ripped both bills out of our hands and rerung them. Aggressive! No plans to return unless to hear another band, but will plan to eat and drink prior.

Sunday happy hour ALL DAY. What a treat. Stopped in and as one of the only table there we did not receive any attention for 10 minutes until one of us said a little loudly we were getting ready to leave. I think the waiter heard that and finally came over. They were out of the mango wheat beer on tap which was disappointing, and the margaritas had a strange taste to them. The boneless chicken wings were good, and at a good price during HH. The nachos were also tasty and filling.

It's located right on the lake, which is beautiful. I came in by myself and was able to find some friendly people to talk to and sit with. The prices of the drinks and food were a bit high, I spent over $20 for one cocktail plus tip. The trivia experience was a bit confusing and over-complicated, but it wasn't a horrible experience either. This was a re-scheduled performance by acoustic roots band Charm City Junction, whose January gig was cancelled by a snow-ice-tornado-storm! Judging from the full house, everybody held on to their January tickets. We were all greatly rewarded. We come for the music, but also for the creative menu, and we arrived early to our assigned-seats so we could have our meal before the music. Their staff is quick, and we also used the QR-code menu to get a head start. We stayed with classics: a salad and a flatbread. The Caesar was fresh and crisp with a fairly-light amount of tangy dressing and fun flat croutons. The non-cube crouton-shape is a surprise that cleverly matches their crunch closer to the crunchiness of the lettuce. The pizza was a clever flavorful shrimp and veggie creation, and we finished every bite. We had a tart craft beer from their varied list and a well-made French-75 from their creative cocktails, which included non-alcohol options, too. Caleb Stine opened, with great acoustic country-music originals, excellent guitar-playing, and his deep sonorous voice. But ask anyone, the most fun song was this one: "Something that can bring us all together. Something I believe in ... I'm eatin' butter, I'm eatin' cheese. I'm eatin' anything I please, No need to tell me the calories ... I'm eatin' butter." A whole song about Butter :-). Hilarious! After a full set by Caleb, the headline quartet Charm City Junction took the stage, showing off masterful skills on fiddle, clawhammer banjo, button accordion and upright bass. They played a really enjoyable mix of traditional roots, bluegrass, and Irish originals, often featuring whichever of the musician who composed a particular song. Some leaned toward band-supported solos, and some were rousing audience-engaging call-and-response, such as Boozy Suzy, from their Duckpin album. They reprised John Prine's "Please Dont Bury Me", from that same album, and played "I Ain't Gonna Work Tomorrow" from their newest album, Salt Box. We learned the traditional Irish "hup!" to shout when a musical phrase is just too great to hold quiet about! Many in the audience were pretty good at that, though i could not really land it. Several of the band members called out family in the audience, in fun friendly engaging real-time conversation that made us feel like family, too :-). We had a great evening! They made this cozy space feel like a backyard bluegrass roots jam. This space has great acoustics and a skilled sound-board. You choose assigned seats when you purchase the tickets to their performances, and i think they have first-come seating as some jams and game night. They offer so much! There's rock bands, R&B bands, pop, jazz, blues, local musicians, candlelight classical performances, sensory-enhancing "dining in the dark" experiences, brunches, a Mother's Day Soul / R&B sing-along, history spoken-word nights, a bookfair with bar, Motown music trivia, regular trivia, and even rentals of their venue. There's plenty of free parking, and a flat path from the parking garage across the street. It's a nice venue.

We started with a bottle of La Crema Pinot Noir (listed at $68.21), which was smooth and paired really well with everything we ordered. That said, this is where things got a little concerning. The waiter initially charged us $110 for the bottle, and if I hadn't caught it, we would have overpaid by a lot. He did fix it, but honestly that's a pretty big red flag and not something you expect at this price point. The charred octopus ($23.18) was a standout. Tender with a smoky char and pickled onions and a creamy sauce that balanced everything out. For the entree, we got the half rack of lamb ($49.18) and the duck breast ($46.18). Both were cooked as we liked. The lamb was flavorful with crispy potatoes, and the duck had a great sear and richness without being too heavy. Dessert was the mango mousse coconut cake ($12.18), which was light and not overly sweet. However, we were told ahead of time it would be complimentary and that they would write "Happy Anniversary" on it neither of those things happened, and we were charged for it. That was disappointing and felt a bit sloppy. Service overall was on the slower side. The one bright spot was the bartender, Abel, who was great and actually made the experience better by offering us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate. Also note there is an automatic 20% service charge added to the bill. Overall, the food and ambiance were strong, but the service issues and billing mistakes took away from the experience. It had the potential to be a really great night, but a few key things were mishandled.

I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! The staff are nice, but service and the kitchen seemed a bit slow on a Sunday early afternoon towards the very end of brunch despite the area we were seated only had a few tables filled. The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was nothing special - feeling like a flat, single-note dish.. Perhaps it was that the hollandaise sauce lacked the acidity (usually from lemon juice) to brighten the dish. Or, that the nod to Maryland - the Old Bay honey - drizzled around the edges of the dish wasn't enough to elevate it to something that is savored with each bite. The Fluffernutter Blondie is a good dessert choice if you love blondies and peanut butter. Although, it was a bit drier than I'd like, the texture was still soft.

Parking was a bit crowded as we arrived shortly before the show started, but it seems like there's ample parking between their private lot, some street parking, and the parking lot for the surrounding shops. I wouldn't have minded if we'd gotten there sooner, so I'm not complaining about that (my own fault for being tardy). The theater itself is super cute. One of the ticket-takers jokingly told us there wasn't a bad seat in the house, and she was right! We sat in the second row and the view was great. Maybe next time we'll be able to sit in the raised stands at the back to look down on the stage instead of up at it. The Wedding Singer was awesome. I knew the musical and loved it, so I was SUPER EXCITED to be able to bring two of my best friends to see it. The cast didn't disappoint, it was beautifully done. There were a few moments with mic issues, but they weren't really noticeable, especially if you weren't familiar with the show itself. They had a merch table set up in the lobby if you wanted to buy tote bags or shirts (I think) to support the theater. I'm not sure if there were refreshments or anything during intermission, and I didn't use the bathroom so I can't comment on that. We left pretty quickly after the show finished, so I can't say if there's an opportunity to chat with and congratulate the cast, but it's a small enough theater that it might be possible? You can enter on Main Street, or from the back patio. For the full dive-effect, I like to come directly from the old iron staircase in the back, halfway up to the patio, past the original tiny old restrooms and the ice machine. (There's nicer restrooms on the performance / pool-table side.) I looked in on the pool-table side where bands play regularly. There's seating there for around 30, mostly used when bands are playing or by pool-players or when the bar side is full. There's some benches out on the patio for warmer weather and for smoking. The walls are covered with old rock memorabilia, and i love the bar side where there are old albums on the ceiling too! Plus a collection of old stuff over the years that defies description. The bar seats maybe 15. I always sit on the bar side, where it's usually dimly lit.
