    Vegan Blueberry Muffin
    Justine B.

I only tried a handful of sweets from this spot, but they were great. The vegan blueberry muffin was the perfect flavor and texture for my liking. The cookies were perfect sweet treat and surprisingly weren't too sweet. They had a large variety of vegan and gluten free sweets, breads, loafs, cakes, and food items. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.

    Matzo Ball Soup

We tried Bare Naked Bakery while we were visiting Huntington, and it was delicious. Everything is gluten free, which is amazing, including things you don't normally get, like matzo ball soup! We tried a few things: chicken tenders, soup, pretzel some baked goods, bagels, and sourdough bread. The hot food comes out quick, and is delicious. The bagels tasted great! And the sourdough is delicious. I'd definitely stop in to Bare Naked Bakery again!

    Cannoli French toast!

Delicious and reasonably priced for our brunch of cannoli French toast. My companion had coffee and pronounced it "good," while I opted for a blood orange San Pellegrino (in the can). While the pastries are amazing, most of the tables and chairs are tiny and uncomfortable. Tried them all, and, like Goldilocks, ended up on the leather chair back stool at the live edge bar. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The turnovers and chocolate cigar were disappointing... not flaky or flavorful. I did ask if the pastry was flaky and was told yes. The blueberry turnover filling was almost tasteless and the apple slightly better. Next time I'll just stick with the rainbow cookies.

Used to love this establishment for their vegan options, but they have really been going downhill…read morelately. I have had a negative experience 5+ times before I decided to update this review. For starters, even though this place opens 6am majority of the bagels aren't event ready until 7 or 8 so forget even ordering food at that time. Additionally, everytime I ask for the dairy-free cream cheese the counter guy complains and tries to say they ran out because it's too difficult for him to get it from the back and mix in some veggies. If you insist they check they end up having it every time. Additionally, when the owner is there I seem to get charged a few dollars more because he rounds up on the prices for whatever reason. I ended up changing over to Village Bagel & Deli which ended up having even better bagels and vegan options.

There are two workers in there closing up. I knock on the door and wave my phone with the app open. The first worker looks at me, ignores me and goes in the back. I knocked another few times and another woman pops up from counter yelling 'we are closed'. I yelled no, i payed for a pick up. She eventually brought me the bagels. Upon handing me the bag she says they close at 3:30p in not the nicest way. Well she handed the bag to me at 3:28p. I wouldn't be so mad if I wasn't ignored and shoo'd away. I get you want to go home but you don't treat customers that way or set a pickup window where the workers don't want to help you.

Pricing is reasonable, shop has an upstate or even Vermont feeling. Staff is kind and patient. Polite. Lemme talk about the food for a second. Got the Feeling Tot burrito. Subbed cheddar for smoke Gouda and added bacon. HOLY HELL. This burrito brought up emotions I haven't felt for a breakfast in centuries. Warm and melty, it wasn't like any of these greasy, wet, fat covered offerings from other delis or breakfast shops around the island. Or that I've had in NY in general. They chopped the bacon, which let's be serious here, is the only way to do it. Eggs were fluffy, light. Cheese was nothing short of smoked magnificence. But the pièce de résistance, the glue that brings your taste buds to their knees, the tots. If you don't like tots, you're wrong. And these tots were somehow crispy and soft. No oil, no sog. The chipotle sauce brings it all home and then they grill the whole damn thing and serve it to you on a platter of gold and diamonds. At least that's how it felt. Do I recommend this? Uh duhhhhhh. 5 stars. All day.

We parked in the town lot and although I've lived in Huntington for many years, this was the first time I ever noticed the Double S Deli. I'm not sure how this happened but I consider myself fortunate to finally make it in. We only had an hour before we needed to get home so something quick was in order. There is a very small bar height counter near the front door with seating for three or four so this made our getting sandwiches here possible. For my little girl a ham and cheese with mayo on a hard roll. For me, a hot pastrami sandwich. Both were fresh and flavorful, nicely sized. Throw in a bag of chips and a strawberry milk and we had a nice low-key lunch and it didn't break the bank. $31 plus tip for the counter crew and we were well fed and happy. For sure we will be back.

I live right around the corner and didn't even notice it looking good or interesting and a client of mine that is from a nearby town said that I live by that deli. It's his favorite deli and he gets egg white sandwiches. This is a very discerning person so sure enough we go there now for everything. I didn't even think of them for chicken noodle soup when my daughter was sick but when we finally found that they sell it, we got the best soup with huge pieces of chicken. Great deli.
