This review is long, long overdue. I come here about once a week. Today was the first time I tried their chicken parm and it was very good. The bread at the bottom was a tiny bit soggy but honestly it's what I expect from gluten free bread and any suet if moisture. At least it didn't rudely come apart like some other gluten free sandwiches. The seasoned fries were a bit on the salty side; I would try the sweet potato fries next time. I have bought their frozen mozzarella sticks before; the flavor is perfect but unfortunately they fall apart a little too much. Anyway, the true gem of this bakery are it's baked goods. I highly recommend the loaves and muffins. So far, I've had the blueberry crumble, cinnamon crumb, corn, lemon poppy, and gingerbread loaves (the gingerbread is seasonal but they said they do special orders). None of the loaves missed even a bit. I really like the focaccia and the challah when they have it. The bakery itself has a nice cafe vibe. I enjoyed hanging out there. read more

INCREDIBLE pie. My little brother is allergic to gluten, so my Dad went here to pick up the pie. He said it's a great place because the whole place is gluten free. I only tried a handful of sweets from this spot, but they were great. The vegan blueberry muffin was the perfect flavor and texture for my liking. The cookies were perfect sweet treat and surprisingly weren't too sweet. They had a large variety of vegan and gluten free sweets, breads, loafs, cakes, and food items. We tried Bare Naked Bakery while we were visiting Huntington, and it was delicious. Everything is gluten free, which is amazing, including things you don't normally get, like matzo ball soup! We tried a few things: chicken tenders, soup, pretzel some baked goods, bagels, and sourdough bread. The hot food comes out quick, and is delicious. The bagels tasted great! And the sourdough is delicious. I'd definitely stop in to Bare Naked Bakery again! read more

I was so excited to see a completely gluten free place nearby! The interior is very welcoming and the staff was very friendly. The food is a bit pricey but wow, was it worth it! would give zero stars if I could. Ordered 2 dozen cupcakes and one separately for my son's birthday at school. I specifically asked them on the phone to put a sticker confirming nut /gluten free because that is the school's policy. The packing and service was awful. The separate order cupcake wasnt prepared. No sticker , not so much as a label on the cupcakes--were rejected from school. went back to get the issue fixed--not so much as an apology. For years my boyfriend was not allowed to have any bakery cakes as he is allergic to nuts. We finally found a place that makes completely nut free options. He really wanted a chocolate cake so I made the trip over and because it was a Saturday in Huntington there was no nearby parking. The young man at the register was kind enough to let me bring my dog in as I had him with me and didn't want to leave him in the car. There were 3 options for chocolate flavored cakes and the gentleman suggested the chocolate mousse. My boyfriend was so happy he could finally have a normal bakery cake. Everyone loved the cake as well! We will definitely be back to try more. And now that I know where it is I will order in advance. They do have a pretty good selection of pre-made small cakes ready to buy! read more

I'm not gluten free but when there is an option, why not?! I also wanted to try this place out because my sister in law is newly gluten free and really misses her morning bagels. I had the oat bagel and it was amazing!! I toasted it at home with some butter and it was delicious. I also had the linzer tart cookie which was 10/10! haven't tried anything else yet but will be back for lunch! The owner (or manager- not sure) is SO nice! read more

Delicious and reasonably priced for our brunch of cannoli French toast. My companion had coffee and pronounced it "good," while I opted for a blood orange San Pellegrino (in the can). While the pastries are amazing, most of the tables and chairs are tiny and uncomfortable. Tried them all, and, like Goldilocks, ended up on the leather chair back stool at the live edge bar. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The turnovers and chocolate cigar were disappointing... not flaky or flavorful. I did ask if the pastry was flaky and was told yes. The blueberry turnover filling was almost tasteless and the apple slightly better. Next time I'll just stick with the rainbow cookies. read more

i am extremely disappointed by bare naked bakery. I am a gf bride and wanted to get my wedding cake from there because i heard great things. I called to get information, spoke to the baker, and went over the cake. I asked if we could do some kind of a tasting before ordering. I was told that we could just come in and order already made cupcakes and they would give us the filling we wanted. I asked if that needed to be a placed order and she said no, just come in. I then called anyways one morning, just to double check that we didnt need to place an order and got the worst service and professionalism. A young girl picked up the phone and was very nice. I asked if they had cupcakes in and she said yes. I mentioned that the baker said we could take/buy some filling also, to test our cake and i asked if we would be able to pick that up today too. She was sweet and said "let me place you on hold and ask". She did NOT place me on hold, she must have forgot and completely twisted my words, was nasty, and ranted to another girl at the counter as if i was the demanding something. I could not believe that i was actively hearing this girl talk about me, and completely out of context. It upset me because that was not at all how i was speaking to her. She got back on the phone, i informed her that she was NOT on hold and that i heard everything, and her response was "i dont know what you are looking for and its like really busy". I said id call another day and speak to the baker i spoke with. No apology, nothing. I then emailed the company and explained the situation and honestly was just expecting acknowledgment for how unprofessional that was seeing that i was about to spend hundreds of dollars. I was completely ghosted. I gave it two weeks and ive gotten no call back, no emails back and im disgusted that this is how you treat customers. Total mean girl energy that was not cool! read more

Love the fact that it's gluten free with many vegan options . A really nice menu. All desserts are so eye appealing and tempting until that so disappointing first bite. ( Like rubbery cardboard). Ok , let's try that again, and it's a no. Hmm maybe a poor choice, let's try a different dessert , that looks so delicious only to find that it's not. On a positive note, the sandwich bread is very decent and the nova sandwich great. The pizza however is another story unfortunately. Hopefully things will get better!!!!!!! read more

While their bagels might be delicious, their specialty cakes left a very bad taste in my mouth! I started by trying to order in person at the Bellmore location the very same cake I had seen on their website for an engagement party. After talking to the clerk, who was new and could not help me, I called the Plainview location to talk to the baker directly, since that is where they make all the cakes. I got another clerk who said the baker would call to confirm the next day. No one called. Finally, the next day, I called back and after some more back and forth between the clerk and baker (who never got on the phone to speak to me directly) was given a price of $230! For a 3 layer cake with an edible decal that would serve 30 people! At that point I asked to speak to a manager who told me it was a 3 tier wedding cake. After some more clarification and a total of 2 days, almost 3 hours and 3 different people on the phone, I finally thought I would get what I ordered. The price was now $128.00 (which came out to $145.00 on my credit card) Expensive, but I was hoping it would be beautiful and delicious. NOT! Name spelled wrong! Full size decal was 2"x2"!! 4 Roses. For that I paid way over the website quote of $87 for a basic 14" round cake. And then Zach, the manager, didn't call me back for over a week! Apologized for that but not for the cake. It was unattractive and I honestly could have written on it better myself! Stick with the bagels. read more
