    MB Ramen

Had a sit down dinner at the bar with my lady this past Friday. I've been wanting to try their Mae Ploy Chicken so I finally ordered it. This was actually incredible. Their karaage is already great but this thick sweet sauce with heavy chinese 5 spice flavoring leveled it up. Honestly I could have ordered a side of rice with this and called it a meal because they are not shy on portion size. But how could you come to MB Ramen without having the ramen? I stuck to my usual and dug in. It's still delicious... BUT. I noticed the broth just didn't have the same depth of flavor I'm used to and their eggs were pretty small this go around. I still left quite happy with my ramen craving fulfilled but I can't help but wonder what was different this time.

I only stopped in for takeout but the tofu bao buns were so good I knew I had to leave a review. The tofu was baked/fried to a perfection I have never experienced before! The bao buns were somehow soft and firm and did not fall apart on me. The toppings were fresh and tasty. Finally the spicy mayo was better than I think I have ever had before. Everyone must try these bad buns! Also, even though I only stopped in for takeout I did take note of the decor which perfectly captured a downtown city vibe. I cannot wait to return for a longer stay and try more of their delicious menu items!

Decent ramen place right in the mix in Huntington. I was there on a Saturday so it was busy but there wasn't a wait to get a table. Theres a long bar/seating as well but I think they fill those seats last? Cool vibe here though it isn't too big as far as space in the back for seating. The food came out quickly and it was decent. I had the spicy ramen and it was tasty and filling. The spicy edamame was good as well. Service was good as our server was attentive and polite. I would come back when I'm in the area again.

Been here before & will come back again. Lucas always helpful with our choices as far as spice level. We got the MB RAMEN& the Shoyu Tare ( crispy chicken) also sticky icky wings. All was delicious. I would recommend this Ramen bar. Just a cool vibe all around, good food, and friend

A Pleasant Surprise at MB Ramen - Worth Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone! I'll admit it--I'm not usually an adventurous eater. But my 5yr old god daughter was craving noodles so MB Ramen it was. So glad we decided to take the plunge. The atmosphere is chill and cool. The anime on the walls and video game in the corner make this a place you want to visit. Staff was incredibly kind and patient, happily answering my questions and even giving me recommendations based on my tastes. I'll admit it took me some time to decide but when I did I wasn't disappointed. We started with the icky sticky wings and the crispy chicken Bao buns. Both were fantastic. Main course the broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings balanced everything beautifully. Each bite was comforting, bold, and somehow familiar yet completely new. I never thought I'd find myself craving ramen, but here I am, already planning my next visit. If you're hesitant to step outside your food comfort zone, let MB Ramen be the place that changes your mind. You won't regret it

This place advertises that it has gluten free options, but it does not. The rice noodles they offer are cooked in the same water they cook the gluten containing noodles. All of the broths also have soy sauce already in there so none of them are gluten free. They should remove the "gluten free options" available and just say they offer rice noodles. I was so excited to go here, sat down and immediately had to leave. The server was so nice and apologetic about it and immediately let me know... which I definitely appreciated. I just wish I hadn't traveled all the way there ex cited it have gluten free ramen to find out I could not at all. If you are gluten free and/or celiac do not go here sadly.

MB Ramen is a great place to go get ramen if you're in Huntington. Honestly, I think I love them more than I love the Michelin star ramen restaurant in Queens. Gabe makes the best ramen there. Yes, I have my favorites. They have a great selection from ramen to rice bowls. However, ramen can be on the saltier side so please be aware when you're making your choice. Their appetizers are nice but I usually order the Chashu pork baos. I recommend eating those right away when they arrive or they can stick to the serving dish if you wait. The restaurant is very clean and a bit small but you can sit at the bar as well and order your ramen. It's fun watching them making orders. They have seating in the back of the restaurant but I don't recommend this place for a large group.

The MB Ramen and Sapporo beer

MB Ramen serves up tasty and affordable food, in a very casual and cozy environment. Surrounded by comic book memorabilia and jojo's bizarre adventure playing on tv, we started off with some of their pork belly bao buns. I thought the ingredients were all good, and especially liked the thinly sliced cucumber, but found there to be a bit too much pickled onion for my liking. For dinner I got their signature "MB Ramen:" a ramen bowl with savory pork broth, char siu pork, a marinated egg with a deliciously jammy center, scallions, marinated mushrooms, nori, and garlic oil on top. It all tasted great, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. A cold Sapporo beer perfectly complemented this savory and rich soup too. The only downside to this place is the extremely long wait and rather rushed service- all due to an inadequate amount of seating. When we showed up early (6:30) on a freezing Saturday night, we were seated immediately at the end of the bar next to the door. These were the only available seats in the restaurant. For the whole time we were there, the door right next to me kept opening to let in cold air, people picking up takeout, and other disgruntled people looking for a table but finding a 30 minute wait. The waiter was very polite, but he asked us if we were ready to order 3 times in no more than 10 minutes, and started to clear my bowl away when I wasn't finished eating. Although these parts of my experience weren't great, I have to give credit where it's due. The owners are clearly making the absolute most out of such a tiny space, with their very efficient takeout and delivery system, and staff who immediately address, seat, and serve customers, prompting more turnover and revenue. I really like this place, and understand why they run it the way they do. I just wish they would expand or move to a bigger place, where customers and staff could finally sit back to enjoy the chill comic book vibes and delicious ramen.

Some seriously solid ramen! Came here with a friend to catch up and although busy, we were seated almost immediately once we arrived. We split a takoyaki and I got the tan tan ramen modified a bit. I would've been happy to order something else considering my dietary restrictions, but my waitress was happy to recommend substitutions to the tan tan ramen to cater to my needs. An A+ move for sure! Takoyaki was amazing. Fried with a plush, creamy center. A decent sized piece of octopus inside each ball. The ramen itself has tasty! The noodles weren't too soft, the broth was savory and the pickles gave it a nice, cooling, tang throughout. I may not have gotten the full impact of the dish since it was modified but it was still a tasty bowl! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area looking to beat the chill.

Everything was extremely fishy and old. I called up to let the Owner know, but he didn't seem to care or worry about the food safety. Do not recommend. Edit to respond to owner: I want to note that the tone of your response here is very different from how the conversation went on the phone. It feels like you're trying to present things more carefully now, which was not my experience during our call. After speaking with you on the phone, I did not feel that my concerns about the fish were taken seriously. I eat sushi 2-3 times a week, and I have never encountered fish with that kind of taste before. Additionally, the shrimp tempura did not seem fresh - it was soggy and had an off taste, almost like it had been sitting in a refrigerator. When food is bad enough that someone has to spit it out, that's a clear sign it isn't fresh.

Met up with a friend for a girls dinner out a few weeks ago, and had a wonderful time. It was a Friday night and the place was pretty quiet, so there were no concerns about social distancing. The bartender and waiters were all wearing masks and were super friendly as well. Onto the menu. Prepare yourself for a ton of dumpling options, like half the menu is devoted to the delicacy. And each dumpling is unusual and creative with the most delicious combinations. Being an Asian fusion place, the options run the gamut, from hot pots, to steamed buns and of course, back to dumplings. We tried the French Onion dumplings since they are the most talked about and they were delicious! Served on a plate that usually would hold escargot, I think. We also tried a few others, but the winning dumpling was filled with sweet potato, bacon, and cheese, as recommended by the waiter (I always ask what they like). I don't recall the name but it was one of the best and most interesting combinations in a dumpling that I've ever had. My husband felt it was a little too spicy but I liked it. For what it's worth as spicy as he felt it was he continued eating it! For dinner we shared the chicken tikka enchiladas and ribeye steak quesadillas. The chicken was fire! A big fan of cumin and coriander I could eat the tikka all day long. The dish is warm with depth and richness that just hit the spot. The steak was prepared with truffle oil which gives it a rounded earthy flavor that coupled perfectly with the cheese in the quesadilla. Speaking of cheese there was so much of it that when you pulled a piece off the strings were for days but it never overtook the steak. It was a perfect balance. In the background was a DJ spinning EDM that lent a festive vibe. It was loud enough to hear but not so loud we couldn't hear each other. I actually commented that to my husband when we were talking. This all said, I have to admit I was surprised to see the place was pretty slow. Mission was always packed be it dinner time or later. I couldn't help but wonder why? I must admit I think they could do more with this rebranding of sorts. I had no idea Mission Taco closed and rebranded. There's just a hanging sign outside that says "grand opening". Not to mention that in spite of the fact that it was quiet our food seemed to take a longer than usual time to arrive. Our server was so sweet and attentive as was the runner but all in all service was slow. Overall the meal was enjoyable and I'm confident we will be back. I'm hopeful word gets out about the rebranding and people start filling the place because the food is still fire as it was with Mission. So do yourself a favor and get there now!
