I... LOVE Bareburger. My friends and I frequent the Hartsdale location most often, but the Dobbs Ferry location is wonderful as well. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the booths and lighting make for a comfortable experience with good ambiance. For the price (and great deals they offer), it's hard to beat the selection and customization that Bareburger has. I'm a big fan of the wagyu blend burger, it's just so juicy and pairs well with the tomato, caramelized onions, and pepperjack cheese on a brioche bun. I had the sweet potato burger, which was pretty good tasting (fried, large pieces of avocado) and very filling. They also cook their fries in canola oil, which is one of the cheaper oils. This was our 35th visit to Bareburger. It's been around a year since our last visit. Once a regular, we came less often once it was under new ownership. We ordered the appetizer of All-Natural Mango Teriyaki Jumbo Wings 6 w/ Buttermilk Ranch. My wife ordered a Cilantro black bean burger - black bean poblano patty, avocado, pickled red onion, roma tomato, mixed greens, garlic vinaigrette. I had the Southern Chix - Bacon, pickled green tomato, nashville hot, buttermilk ranch and my son the National - beef blend patty, uncured bacon, sharp farm style cheddar, pickled green tomato, raw red onion, special sauce. I enjoyed the tossed wings and would order them again. The Black Bean Patty had good crunch and flavor, my wife enjoyed it. The Chicken and Beef burgers were good but not great. The fries were super hot and had great flavor. The service was excellent and the restaurant was well staffed and clean. One of the fun things about Barebuger was the selection of protiens you could choose from to build a burger and that has been reduced along with the selection of beers, ale's and IPA's. We had never been here before and wanted to try it. We went there just as it opened. There was only one other couple there. I ordered the elkasaurus with onion rings and my wife ordered the sweet bison blues with the fries. We both asked for medium rare and they accommodated that even though the said the patties too thin. Started with the guacamole - which was really excellent. Decent sized portion so good value and "Fresh & Chunky" (I asked for spicy and wasn't disappointed) - came with crispy large black tortilla chips- well worth the price. I had the wagyu burger - which on consideration probably wasn't worth it at $22+ However the sweet potato fries made up for that. We ordered on grub hub, so no ambiance to speak of, but I liked my burger. My husband, however, did not like his... And he likes EVERYTHING. (Except parsnips! He thinks they're the devil.) We both got all beef burgers, but he said his tasted gamey. Mine was juicy and well seasoned. The only issue I had was the way they use the romaine lettuce. It's cut into 1" wide slices, so it doesn't lay on the burger... It tries to fold in half and it's awkward to bite into because of that center rib in the lettuce leaf. I don't know if they ran out of whole lettuce and had to use cut lettuce they usually use in salads, or if it's always like that. This was our first time here. He got onion rings, which we both liked a lot. They were crisp and a good size. I got the fries and they were phenomenal, especially with the garlic aoloi. They were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, even after traveling from the restaurant to our hotel. I'd like to go back, but hubby does not. If it was just my experience, I'd give 4 stars, but he disliked his so much that I knocked it down a star. I ordered delivery on a Friday night. The driver delivered the food to my neighbor's house by mistake. The food arrived decently warm. The honey brussels were pretty good. I would've preferred the sprouts to be a little crispier, but they did have a slightly sweet flavor and generous layer of asiago cheese on top. The cauliflower bites were tasty as well. The cauliflower was fried in a thick, fluffy layer of batter. However, they were a little dry and would've done well with a sauce of some sort. I enjoyed the loaded fries. The spicy kim chi, jalapenos, and jalapeno ranch made for a very nice kick. The actual fries had perfect texture. The impossible nuggets were super crispy and airy. Nothing too noteworthy about them, but great for vegetarians craving a classic. My mom got the Supreme burger and said it was a bit too salty. Overall, the food was not bad and I appreciated the variety on the menu. They have several vegetarian and vegan options. The inside was also nicer than I expected! The burger had oat milk cheese on it with a vegan aioli. You could definitely taste a difference with the cheese but it wasn't bad. My bf was super excited to be able to eat the aioli and we had a nice dinner overall. I also got a side of fries that were pretty decent but due for an oil change soon. Basically, I would say that compared to getting a burger and fries from Five Guys, Bareburger is roughly 40-50% more expensive, before you consider tax and tip. Five Guys, however, does not use grass-fed beef and has no gluten-free options. It all depends on how you think about your food. On this visit, the service was very good. My friend and I were served by Chelsea, who was friendly, competent, and knowledgeable. The place was virtually empty during lunchtime, but it appears that they do a robust takeout business. In terms of taste, it's a good burger and the fries are very good. My friend loved his Buffalo chicken sandwich, but wasn't all that impressed with the onion rings (I couldn't try them because of the gluten). The burger isn't at the level of Five Guys or Shake Shack, however. On the other hand, this is a true sit-down dining experience. Good place with some options. You don't have to be a vegan to come here, as they have organic, non-vegan options as well. I wanted to try the "Impossible Burger", which was the main reason I came here in the first place - well that and I'm always on the lookout for a good burger place, with or without meat. The decor is wooded and comfortable. You have options of a booth or table - or both, where on side has a chair and the other a booth. They give you room temperature water - not sure if they do offer ice, but it was fine. There's not many options as far as beverages go, as there's organic lemonade, unsweetened ice tea, and sugar cane soda. I settled for the lemonade, which wasn't terrible. They give you those paper straws here. I get being environmentally conscious and all, but not a fan of paper straws. I would've brought my own in that case or just drank from the glass as it became annoying to sip with paper bits coming off. Small gripe, but hey it's worth mentioning. The Impossible burger was good. So good, I came here a second time a few weeks later and had it again. The waffle fries and sweet potato fries were also good and tasty. My companion has the Duchess burger, which looked good and I was told it indeed was. They do have other things on the menu and maybe one day I'll go out of my Impossible burger comfort zone. Staff was generally friendly. Parking varies - they share the land with other businesses, most notably a Best Buy, CVS, Marshalls, and Trader Joe's. The lot can be busy at times and it's harder to find a spot, even away from the stores (where I prefer to park). It all depends on the time of day as other times you can find a space with relative ease. Bareburger has always been in my periphery; I remember occasionally seeing this location driving on Central Ave and a few of their other locations in Manhattan and Queens. We were offhandedly talking about Bareburger today at work, and since I had never tried it before I decided to stop by here for some lunch. Bareburger specializes in...burgers! Looking over their menu, they have a number of varieties with the option to edit toppings and such. Additionally, they have a selection of salads, wraps, and sandwiches. They also cater to vegans, with a full section of the menu having a number of vegan options. Regardless of what you choose, Bareburger advertises all of their offerings as organic and locally sourced. I wanted a burger, but I'm not the biggest red meat eater so I skimmed and landed on the SoCal Burger. This contained an organic turkey bun topped with organic cheddar, alfalfa, guacamole, and pickled red onion - served on a sprout bun. The burger was quite substantial and all the flavors really complemented each other - it also tasted really fresh. I also ordered a side of fries and onion rings to share; these were fine - nothing too remarkable, but good. I got the special sauce and the smokey sauce on the side which were nice dipping options. Overall, I was impressed by Bareburger. They seem to have something for most tastes, and my burger was quite good. I'm glad to add it to my list of quick-service eateries in Westchester, and I'll definitely return to explore more of their menu. read more

The Forager burger was delicious and has onions, kale, and mushrooms in it; although, I took off one star because it wasn't as packed as the picture on the website is (especially at a $14 price point). The Brussels sprout appetizer was delicious. My burger was also good, and the gluten free bun was also good mainly because it was soft. Most restaurants will have frozen buns and microwave then until they are hockey pucks- that was definitely not the case here.
