Loved the coffee shop best avocado toast and amazing tasting coffee. Loved the area too.

The food is amazing, coffee is good, and the shop itself is so adorable! Definitely less crowded than some other coffee shops in the area. The only reason I gave Barefoot 4 stars is because some of the baristas who helped set up the shop when it first opened had repeatedly joked and laughed at comments made about women in a negative light. I wasn't comfortable knowing I was enjoying a coffee made by a barista who laughed and agreed with a male customer who made a rude comment about how being in a relationship with his girlfriend had ruined his diet. How about lets not blame our failed diets on our partners? Just left a bad taste in my mouth! read more

All I wanted was to enjoy an espresso at what looked to be a cool coffee shop after my bike ride but I couldn't even do that. The people working were extremely rude and disrespectful. I simply asked for foam over my iced espresso and they said "we can't do that it's our policy" and were so rude about it. It's funny to me that you make cappuccinos all day long but you're not "allowed" to give me some foam on my iced espresso?! Awful customer service and you need all new staff because they don't know how to treat people properly, figure it out! read more

we came for their orange mocha which is hard to find, especially a place that can make it right. barefoot had the right balance of coffee, mocha and orange. it also didn't hurt they had great drip coffee that was smooth on the first and after sip. read more

The location is nice and I appreciated the precautions they are taking with social distancing and offering hand sanitizer. My partner ordered the cacophony which he enjoyed however he mentioned you can't really taste the cinnamon you can only really smell it. I ordered the iced matcha which they made hot but re-made my order after pointing it out. The matcha wasn't my favorite as I found it way too sweet. My only real issue was the service wasn't all too friendly but granted we are in the middle of a pandemic so I'll be giving them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Really cute and relaxing spot I enjoyed on 2 occasions while in town. I was told I would either "love or hate" the espresso sunrise (espresso, blood orange soda, and hint of lime juice) and at first sip I was quite confused but a bit of sugar and it was pretty good. I later tried The Eggy with just turkey bacon added. I decided to forgo the cheese since that was another added cost on top of the bacon. Nonetheless, the two scramble eggs and turkey bacon on toast rounded up to $10 and wasn't particularly remarkable, but definitely filling and the quality seemed good, especially in case of the bread. With the flavor and texture of the eggs I didn't regret leaving out the cheese. I find their menu somewhat expensive (though not so much when considering the level of detail, creativity, and quality of their craft and comparison to other coffee spots) but I'd definitely go again to enjoy their "Mocha Borgia" (mocha, orange, and chocolate dust. Apparently I love anything with orange) or their "Mexican mocha" I got to try a sip of as well as the great ambiance. read more

Amazing! The iced Voodoo coffee is a MUST. It tastes exactly like REBBL (Organic chocolate coconut milk) that's sold at Sprouts or Target or I would also describe it as tasting like Almond Joy! Loved it. Will be coming back just for this iced coffee. read more

Really prefer patronizing local coffee spots and Barefoot is no exception. Been going here repeatedly since they've opened and tried extra hard to support them during Covid ignoring the ridiculously slow service. What is really hard to ignore though is the lack of shade on their patio. More umbrellas are needed big time. The barista didn't really care too much when I mentioned it. If you want a plain decaf or regular cup of coffee, go elsewhere, it's not on the menu. Closest they get is espresso mixed with hot water and it's slow and expensive. $3 for a small. Tea is almost impossible, takes forever since they don't have tea bags. Forget this place if you're in a hurry. read more

So excited to have this new coffee shop in Solana Beach! Coffee tastes great - they have some interesting coffee options besides the standard lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, etc. The atmosphere is cool. Love the indoor/outdoor seating and the fire pit. The staff is friendly. I've only tried their toast with almond butter and jam, so I can't say much about their food - the this toast is delicious. I haven't had any trouble with parking - I've only gone in the morning - not sure how the parking would be in the middle of the day...but so far, so good. I hope they make it and are around for years to come. read more
