NAKED CAFE @ SOLANA BEACH Parking was super convenient, there's plenty of street parking, or you can park in their four-hour free customer lot, which is also available for beachgoers. I came on a Sunday and had no trouble finding a spot. Naked Café is literally right by the beach, about a two minute walk, which makes the location absolutely beautiful. I've been to their Carlsbad location before, so I was really excited to finally check this one out. At first glance, this location is definitely much smaller than the Carlsbad one. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but since it was a bit chilly being right on the coast, I preferred sitting indoors. It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon, so we waited about 30 minutes, which honestly wasn't too bad. One thing I did notice, though, is that the trash and recycling bins are right next to the line and outdoor seating, which made sitting outside a little less pleasant. Once we were seated, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I ordered their iconic pesto avocado toast, which is hands down my favorite. It comes with a side of rosemary potatoes, and they are to die fornot greasy or deep-fried, but a much healthier and flavorful alternative. I also love their chocolate strawberry pancakes. My boyfriend and I split them, two pancakes for about $10, which felt like a great deal. He ordered the Green Heart quesadilla, which was also really good. We added avocado for an additional $3, and he paired it with a kombucha. The food came out in about 10 minutes, which was impressive given how busy it was. The interior is super beachy, cozy, and cute, and overall the food is consistently delicious. Entrées range around $15-$18, which is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I'd highly recommend stopping by especially if you can sit indoors. I'll definitely be coming back again.

    Dog menu

Dog heaven and the human food is also delicious. We went on a Monday for lunch, and we were satiated. You can get fresh juice, and lots of healthy options, like Buff Burritos with egg whites that come with rosemary potatoes and black beans. The pancakes looked yummy, and our dog gave the scrambled eggs with chicken 4 paws up. Friendly service and beach breeze ambiance add to the experience. Very accommodating for dogs.

Very close to the beach Cute, small cafe offering whole food options. Outside seating is dog friendly. Many GF, vegetarian, and vegan options Parking is street parking I got the brown butter latte that is on special for the holidays and the bacon avocado toast The coffee was very good and they were able to personalize it to decaf and whole milk The avocado toast was very generous portion came with one sunny side up egg, what appeared to be an entire avocado, and two slices of thick cut bacon. The pesto was very tasty. Comes with potatoes on the side that we're not to my liking. No texture and they had tomatoes in them, which I'm not a fan of. I did have the tomatoes removed off of the avocado toast. Staff were friendly and interactive, but not overbearing .

I've been coming here for over 20 years and I love it. Can't beat the location, the food is tasty and always consistent, the employees are always kind and accommodating. Good vibes all around. My only complaint would be that the bathroom does not have a changing table for babies. But they just redid the inside and expanded their espresso bar so maybe a bathroom upgrade is next! My favorite items are the rising sun quesadilla, crispy breakfast burritos, coconut French toast and sesame ginger tacos.

I discovered Naked Cafe today while I was out at Fletcher Cove Beach with my little one. I was craving a coffee and it was conveniently right there. There was nice outdoor seating which was amazing because the weather was beautiful and there's views of the beach from there too. I ordered my coffee (honey cinnamon latte) and decided to try the steak tenderloin hash. Both were so delicious! We came about half an hour before they close for the day but the server was kind and let us order and chill for a bit. It was a nice little spot in a good area with good food so I would return when I'm in the area again!

Breakfast is by far my most favorite meal of the day. I always wake up hungry as some people wake up craving their first cup of coffee. Just feed me please! I had this café bookmarked for the Encinitas location, but my good friend told me this location was more scenic. She was so right! We came on a weekday and it was busy but we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view and we were lucky enough to get a table right away. There is also indoor dining available as well but when you are on the coast, you usually want to sit outside. The café is dog friendly so we had my friends dog with us. The view is so nice across the street from Fletcher Cove Park and then Boom! there is the ocean. We started out with the Daydreamer Mimosa - champagne, fresh squeezed lemonade and lavender and the Pink Lotus Mimosa - champagne, fresh squeezed lemonade and raspberry. Both drinks were very refreshing and brought a nice buzz to the morning. So many great choices on the menu to choose from but I decided on the Solstice Burritos. This was such a good choice. The burritos were filled with scrambled eggs, jack cheese, green onion, tomato, flour tortilla, I added avocado, side of beans and rosemary potatoes. I really loved my meal and drink. Everything tasted so fresh and I would love to dine here again to try more of their dishes. For our vegan friends, they also serve you with many scrumptious dishes. Our server Michael was so kind and he made sure we were well taken care of even bringing some water over for my friends' dog. Thank you Michael for your fantastic service. Parking is complimentary on the street where you can find it. It is mixed residential/commercial in this area. I am so glad we came here to start our weekend off right by dining on the shores of the west coast.

Very cute cafe right across the street from Fletcher Cove (beach and playground). Large outdoor patio as well as a cozy indoor dining area. Good for groups or small parties and very kid friendly--excellent kid's menu! The food was tasty but I've been there a few times and it was a little inconsistent. Love that they have a wide variety of options and a lot of healthy ones (that still look and sound delicious) too. My main complaint is the bees. As I mentioned I've been there multiple times and there are a lot of bees or wasps) not sure which) on the patio. We moved indoors twice and one time they were even inside. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to harm or remove the bees, but it did detract from our dining experience. Regardless I will still come back because it's a great neighborhood spot!

    The Welcome plate without toast

The pros are a fantastic location next to Fletcher Cove, great service, and edible food. The cons are the bathroom, menus etc... were dirty, and the food was not good, just edible. I had the Welcome plate without toast. It said it came with tomatoes and green onion. I think I had two cherry tomatoes in my potatoes and a 3" piece of green onion on the side. The potatoes were partially burned and chewy, and way oversalted. The scrambled eggs were fine. If I come back it will be for a drink and a view.

Love this local brunch spot! It's right across from Fletcher's Cove beach. It has plenty of free parking spots, even on an Easter holiday weekend. The food was quick and oh so tasty! Michael, our server, was attentive but not too overbearing. He was very good about customizing my dish when I asked about replacing the pesto spread (due to a nut allergy). If you're looking for a casual beachy brunch spot, then get Naked right here! You won't regret it!

Cool spot has a nice outside seating area and the food came out really quick, was a little smaller than I thought for the price but that's all subjective I guess. Tasted great

We brought our three puppies to this dog friendly restaurant for brunch. If you don't mind sitting at this quaint spot, it's just a block away from the ocean. We ordered the endless summer tacos and the green & red pagoda along with a pomegranate and grapefruit juice and a cappuccino. The food was phenomenal and came to the table quick. The best tasting brown rice I've ever had. Tacos were amazing! Service didn't skip a beat! 5 stars! This is our new favorite for brunch!

$17 for 2 mini burritos. You're paying for the views and 2oz of egg on a tortilla. Do not try the brown coconut rice, trust.

That was cool. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable of their products. I ordered their Citrus Celery juice. For a celery juice, it was well balanced with flavors of orange, apple, grapes, and grapefruit. My fiancé ordered the beet root smoothie with the cacao chips. This was also good. A little bit on the sweet side especially for being beet based. But still very refreshing and also well balanced out with the cacao. The açaí bowl was the best I ever had. The presentation said it all. It was paired well with green apple, raspberries, bananas, walnuts, all the oats, maybe Nutella drizzle and coconut shavings with Greek yogurt. I was down for a second bowl. But it was very filling. Once again a perfect blend of everything. We also tried the avocado toast. I was happy to see that this dish came with more than just avocado and toast. They included an egg arugula, and a tomato. Nowadays, that is way more than what other cafes offer. I thought it was a good price for what you got.

The menu is a little bit different than I remember, but still focuses on fresh and healthy. The girl working at the front used to also work at the PB Location and she's very friendly and knowledgeable. She also gave us samples of the berry smoothie and the green juice to try. I went with the golden milk latte to drink, and it was fabulous. I did have them add a shot of espresso to it because when I was ordering a latte, I definitely was looking for caffeine. It's lovely with turmeric, cinnamon, oat milk, MCT oil and black pepper. I also ordered the Hot Chick salad. It came out looking gorgeous. The salad tasted really good, the chicken was seasoned nicely, and I liked the different textures with the rice, the quinoa and the roasted corn. The dressing was super tasty too. When I got towards the end of my salad, my last few pieces of avocado were bad. It wasn't a dealbreaker for my experience, but I would've definitely preferred that they would've left those pieces out. Also, the little toasted cracker things tasted like cardboard, dry and flavorless. I probably should've tried scooping up some of the salad with them, but I left them on the plate. Overall, I would definitely return to this location. You cannot beat them if you are looking for something fast, casual, and healthy. Definitely not on the cheap though, my salad and latte were $34 before tip, but I don't mind paying for good quality food that is fresh and healthy.

This Achilles Coffee is tucked smack dab in the middle of a health-centric mall surrounded by wellness centers, nutritional experts, and yoga studios. The decent sized parking lot is typically busy but has a good churn throughout the day. There's street parking too and the commuter rail nearby for those looking for a light walk. With seating outside on both the ground level and up on the roof, it's a perfect spot to soak in some sun, breathe in the ocean air, and have a sip and a bite in this quiet part of town. The menu here is comprehensive with coffee (espresso, pour overs, cold brew), teas, specialty drinks, as well as breakfast and light bites to pair with a good start to the morning. We primarily came for a coffee run but a few of our team members decided to visit for breakfast the following day and from what I've heard, they're solid with the food! I look forward to coming back to give their bites a try. In theme for Saint Patrick's Day, they had a few special drinks but I opted for a traditional flat white this time. They had milk options but as a traditionalist, I went with whole milk. The coffee had great flavor and balance. The richness was bold and rounded out after every sip. I was tempted to grab a couple bags on my way out but seeing they had free shipping for online orders over $40 (about two bags), I decided to save some luggage space and order some when I was back home. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was impressed how many of them they were able to fit behind the small work area but they were experienced and worked collectively as a team. The drinks were prepared quick and for those liking them hot, you will be pleased with the freshness of that first sip. Overall, Achilles Coffee is a perfect small batch roaster to visit while you're in San Diego to get a great cup of coffee, a breakfast to go with it, and some bags of single origin or blend to bring back home for your own brew. And if you're interested in trying them out before you visit or just looking to restock, consider checking out their website and order from there. They even have a sampler to try their in-season batches. I guess their only Achilles' heel is that there aren't more of them but with five spots all across San Diego county, at least a San Diegan (or visitor) can get a taste of the sweet nectar marketed under this Greek warrior's moniker.
