I've been to this hotel a couple times. I really do love the views. They're very nice. The rooms are clean. The place is very big. I feel like there's not much else around this area so if you're coming here just be prepared to stay on premise. Unless you want to get an Uber to go somewhere else overall it's a beautiful place. It's great to get away.

Truly enjoyed our time at the spa atRosen shingle Creek! One of the best massages ever and a beautiful and stunning environment. After the massage we took advantage of the pool and the amenities at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our day. Would highly recommend this for any type of getaway and it's perfect for a day spa retreat getaway.

    Nice marble sink area.

If you are looking for a decent resort with restaurant options, pools, golfing, and other vacation amenities close to all things Universal Studios, Rosen Shingle Creek is a solid spot with a decent price point. It's located 20 minutes from Orlando International Airport and downtown (CBD), where there are some nice bar options, and 20 to 25 minutes from Disney if you are inclined to embrace Club Mouse. I was at Rosen Shingle Creek for a conference. For the night I was there, they have a solid convention center and collection of ballrooms to accommodate a variety of different personal and business events. They have a few restaurants comprising different cuisines ranging from steak and fine dining to burgers and wings, as well as sushi and Tex-Mex. They have a coffee bar for your morning joe or tea, with various baked goods. The room featured a comfortable king-sized bed, numerous power outlets for electronic devices, a sitting area, a double-door closet, and a bathroom with a separate room for the shower and toilet. Access to the rooms, at least our wing, came from the set of elevators by the Reception area. It was an easy location. Elevators were prompt and plentiful. I didn't access the more recreational amenities, such as the pool and fitness center, for example, but the property and surroundings are lovely. The convention center is easily accessible through the main lobby floor, past the restaurant hall. There are many ballrooms and meeting rooms for both business and celebratory events, such as conferences and weddings, including the one I attended.

I have stayed at this resort multiple times, and each experience was very enjoyable. The surroundings feature elevated Floridian style. Upon checking in most recently, we learned that some remodeling is taking place, including repaving the self-parking lot and room doors being replaced by a more natural wood variety, coordinating with the new style room keys. A shuttle shortened our trek from the farther lot, due to the paving. There's plentiful dining options. I've had brunch at the Café Osceola, splurged at A Land Remembered (definitely worth it), grabbed a quick bite at 18 Monroe Street Market, and ordered poolside from Cat-Tails. Mostly everything was rather tasty and satisfying. The staff has always been welcoming and thoroughly accommodating. If Heather is still a poolside server there, she's awesome! Hardworking and keeps you smiling. The rooms are comfy with nice decor. There's 3 pools (1 for laps, 1 for families & 1 with cabanas which is closest to the bar & grille). There's additional offerings for other recreation as well, but I'm never there for that. It's always a lovely place to attend an event, which is what usually brings me there. I know I'll gladly return in the future.

This has been my 2nd year attending for a work event. The center is always organized and staffed well, parking is slow but easy to understand. Be warned getting in can be very very slow for busy events. Allot 220 to 30 minutes extra in and out.

My husband and I had a wonderful mini staycation here during the holiday season! It was our first time here an we had an amazing time! The room was incredible and from our room you could see Epic Universe!! I absolutely loved all of the holiday decorations they had up both inside and on the outside of the hotel. We loved being able to walk around and get drinks from the numerous places they had inside. The pool area was super nice but we didn't go swimming because it was cold! I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Comfy beds, lots of places to sit. Nice zero entry pool. Restaurants on premises & coffee by Starbucks, but better prices! Fruit water in the lobby. Our prom was here, so stayed to make getting ready easier. Lovely!

Nice golf course + restaurant. Ismar in the restaurant was awesome, great service & really solid food/drinks. Will definitely stay here in the future & play the course (only had time to practice this year).... Great facility though!

I can't believe this hotel doesn't have more 5 star reviews. We were pleasantly shocked by how nice this resort is. We couldn't believe how great it was for the price. Beautiful lobby and grounds, great in-house restaurants, amazing banquet halls. We only stayed one night, but would love to stay again when in town. The buffet breakfast was AMAZING. So many choices. As someone who has food allergies, I was so happy I had so many things to eat!! The staff was all great, and our room was clean. Thank you! :)

I went to Rosen to join my sister who was there for a conference. It is a beautiful hotel and the pools are super nice. I wish there was more shaded area around the pools.

This is a beautiful property that I have enjoyed for a 5 day stay. Upon arriving to Orlando, I had to quickly pivot from my prearranged accommodations and booked Rosen Shingle Creek. The hotel is quite large with friendly staff. The rooms are nice and the common areas are beautifully decorated. I have eaten at three of the dining options, used the pool and hot tub multiple times, and I even spent a little time in the game room. I was pleased to find the array of dining options, though at times I was disappointed when a couple were unexpectedly closed. I really like the convenience of the 24 hour market that had some great food, snacks, and sundries. I will say that the parking charge is a bit steep for self parking and the distance you need to walk to get to it (due to the size of the property). However, I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I would absolutely stay here again.

I highly recommend this location for any medium to larger conference, meeting, convention, or seminar. I was here for the National Rural Letter Carriers Association Annual meeting so I paid considerably less than the usual rates and you should consider this when weighing my review. But even at the regular rates, this luxury resort might be worth it, but I couldn't afford the regular rates. The conference discount probably works out for the hotel because they make money on guest meals, the food is expensive and if you're here for work you just have to eat on location. The meeting facilities are superb. They have enough room to run three large conferences and two medium sized ones while I was here with lots of space to spare. The audio visual and related tech is state of the art, the banquet food better than most hotel banquets. The only bottlenecks when there are a lot of conferences going on is that when the big conferences break the elevator banks and restaurants get overwhelmed. There's only one coffee place and that might be the very worst thing about the conference. The rooms have Kuerigs, which as most of you know is terrible coffee so the next time I'm here I'm bringing a small hot water heater, a French coffee press, and my own good coffee. And a thermos to take coffee to the conference rooms which are a long walk from the hotel rooms, this resort is vast. The resort isn't served well by public transportation, but actually the entire Orlando area isn't served well by public transportation, you'll have to Uber or Lyft in and out. Daily valet parking charges are an arm and a bloody leg. The grounds are expansive, it takes maybe 10 minutes on the most direct route walking from the lobby to the front gate, but across from the gate is a Publix supermarket, a good take out Chinese restaurant, a bad chain pizza place, a Chipotle where you probably won't get food poisoning, a Subway. On a map it looks easy, but in Florida August weather there's either a brutal tropical sun beating down on you or a tropical storm in the afternoon. Service is quite good, from check in to housekeeping, but the various restaurants are overpriced with mostly mediocre food choices. Room service is about the same price as the restaurants and the clam chowder is pretty good. There's a fee to use the exercise room, your best deal is the fee that covers your entire stay rather than the daily rate. There's a lap pool in addition to two recreational swimming pools, but they all get too hot for comfort in Florida August. The golf course is splendid. If you're a reader, and there are plenty of comfortable places to sit and read inside and out on the grounds, you need to bring books or a Kindle, there's no bookstore (good or bad, used or new) anywhere near and unlike the other Rosen properties there isn't a lending library. I guess hardly anyone reads anymore, when I asked the otherwise very knowledgeable and helpful concierge desk, they couldn't get the concept of a hotel having books to borrow or newspapers. I guess I'm a mastodon in a world of elephants. One of the nice touches is a big roomy cage full of finches in the central lobby.

What times are the free shuttle to Universal available? And how do you request a return ride back to hotel? Thank you!

Is parking included with a nights stay?

No. There is a text in service to charge the parking per night to the room.

Are there on site guest laundry facilities?

Yes. It's on the first floor by the arcade.

What type of coffee maker is in the room, regular single serve or K-cup type?

Regular single-cup brewing coffee maker. Nothing fancy, and not very good.

Can I pay for my room before I get there?

An usual request, as most of us don't want to part with our money until we have to (which has me curious as to why you would want to do this)... Some hotels offer a lower rate that's pre-paid and not cancellable - those they would charge right away.…

What is the largest size milk container the room refrigerator can hold?

It's a standard hotel refrigerator. I'd say 16oz bottles would work fine. Call the hotel, I'm sure they could give you a better answer.

Do double queen rooms have microwaves or refrigerator?

Refrigerators yes, microwave no. You can request a room with these when you make your reservation.

The level of service is what you would expect with the four seasons brand but this hotel stands above the rest with beauty and things to do. We enjoyed the 5 acre water park every day and loved it. So much to do for families at the pool area and we dipped away from the kids for the quiet adults pool also. PRO's: -Nicely sized rooms - not huge, but not small either. I was assigned to a room with two queen beds, but it was just me, so I had an extra bed to put luggage, etc. on. -HUGE bathrooms, including a separate shower and separate bathtub, and nice amenties. -Excellent customer service - I had some ice packs I needed them to hold on to, in their freezer, and they were able to do that at the bell hop desk for me. -Ridiculously nice pool area - I was staying here for a conference and brought a swimsuit just in case, but as soon as I got to my room the first day - which they upgraded me, to a pool/lake room view, even though I don't have status with Marriott - I knew I had to try out the pool and waterslides. Luckily I had a spare hour before my conference started so I literally ate lunch and then jumped on a water slide, ha. ----There are three water slides: one you require an inner tube for, and the other two you just lay back while on it. CONs: -The area between the toilet and the toilet paper roll is super small. I am not a small person so this is probably why I had an issue, but I ended up just taking the toilet paper off the roll, because it kept hitting my thighs when I unrolled it. -The shower has a handheld area you can use or just the regular shower top (? I forget the name for that). The regular top doesn't have great water pressure, so I ended up using the handheld thing and just keeping it pointed towards me. They have a sign up in the lobby saying that Forbes chose them as one of the nicest properties in the world, I believe, and I can see why. They also have a few restaurants on site, as well as a Starbucks, but most of my meals were included at my conference; I did get Doordash the first day I was there, though. Be aware that for the Starbucks you cannot order ahead on the app, though, and the lines are often long (especially with conferences going on, and there were two while I was staying there, including ours!). I would definitely stay at this hotel again - I wasn't paying for the bill this time but I believe it is rather pricey normally, though.

That said, the price point is definitely on the high side, so expectations naturally go up with it. For me, the biggest disconnect was the service level, which felt more fair than exceptional. Nothing was terrible, but it did not really match the luxury pricing or the overall image of the property. When you are paying premium rates, you expect service that stands out, and this felt a little more average than memorable. Overall, it is a nice hotel, but at this price level I was hoping for a stronger service experience.

I've stayed here several times over the last 15 years, and it never disappoints. As one of Universal Orlando's original three Premier Resorts, it has everything you could want. The rooms are huge, the beds are hands down the most comfortable in all of the Universal hotels, the sheets are unbelievably soft, and there are plenty of great restaurants on property. The value is incredible too. Your room key doubles as an Express Pass at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, and if you've ever priced those passes, you know they can easily cost over $200 per person, per day. That alone makes staying here worth considering. We kicked off our trip with drinks at the Thirsty Fish. Check out my separate review because it was fantastic. We also had dinner at Mama Della's, which deserves its own review as well. This trip was all about the resort. We talked about going to CityWalk and maybe even hitting the parks, but we were having such a great time that we never left the hotel. Since it was just the two of us, it turned into the perfect relaxing getaway. Most people head to the Beach Pool with the slide, but we spent our time at the Villa Pool, and it was exactly what we were looking for. It reminded me of the pool at the Ritz-Carlton. Palm trees everywhere, a huge pool, tons of lounge chairs, and a much quieter atmosphere. It's only a short walk from the Beach Pool, and I was happy to find out it has the same full food and drink service. I ordered a tequila berry spritzer...or at least I think that's what it was called. I'll post a picture because I can't remember the exact name, but it was so good that by our second day it seemed like everyone around the pool was ordering one. Our second night, a big thunderstorm rolled in. We had reservations at CityWalk but canceled them, grabbed pizza and a Caesar salad from Sal's Market (see that review too), and had dinner in our room. Honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. Good food, a little TV, some quality time together, and no reason to be anywhere else. We were only there for three days, but it felt like a true vacation. Whether you're coming to Orlando for the parks or just looking for an amazing staycation, Loews Portofino Bay is hard to beat. Was this review a little long? Probably. Do I care? Not even a little. We had an amazing time, and I think you will too.

Lovely and peaceful resort setting with beautiful grounds within walking distance to Universal…read moreStudios, City Walk, and Islands ...bonus inclusion of express passes for the parks. We enjoyed the resort, yet I felt that the standards should've been a bit higher for cleanliness for the price of rooms. The room was fairly average and a decent size, but it seemed to be cleaned in what I call a "surface clean" instead of a deeper clean. At a glance everything was tidy and accounted for, but I noticed a handful of things that needed to be addressed: one bedskirt had many large white stains easily visible, the bathroom doors had quite a few dirty hand/fingers prints, the shower floor felt somewhat slimy under my feet with some clear mildew, and while the bathroom floor was mopped/vacuumed, the edges of the bathroom weren't tended to so some buildup was visible. And while I'm sure it's a hard thing to address, we did see a few large cockroaches around and while getting into an elevator at ground level. These sorts of things that fall outside of a basic room cleaning should at a minimum be addressed regularly if not at each room processing. For me, they definitely take away from my impression of a hotel/resort, especially one marketed as deluxe or luxury. As for the beds, I'd actually chosen this hotel for reviews that stated the mattresses were plush, however while I'll admit they weren't extremely firm, they definitely didn't feel plush. The food at the restaurants was consistently good...we enjoyed a few meals at Trattoria and a takeaway pizza at the Deli...appreciated they had gluten free crust as well as snacks available. Again, beautiful resort, pools, grounds, and great access to entertainment...they just need to up their game in housekeeping.

The resort was easy to navigate, and there were no shortages of dining options. The room was gorgeous and had some thoughtful touches that I appreciated, including pillow spray, a clothes steamer, and even a weighted blanket. It's the little things that make a work trip feel a bit more like a vacation. My biggest complaint? The gym was about the size of my thumbnail. Thankfully, it still managed to squeeze in everything I needed for a solid workout, so I can't complain too much. The conference food was good, though nothing particularly memorable. The late-night food offerings, however, were a welcome surprise and definitely earned bonus points. This is a fantastic property for hosting large corporate meetings and events. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. They did have to move some activities indoors due to weather, but everything seemed to be handled smoothly. Overall, a great resort that balances business and leisure well.

Check-in/out was very easy, my room was clean, nice and spacious, with a beautiful view. The bar and pool area is huge and so much fun! We all had a blast and really enjoyed each others company down at the pool bar. If I had one thing to note I wished were better, most of the nights there was only 1 bartender at the pool bar, and with our large conference and also probably other guests out there, it was hard to get service. But that guy was working amazingly so it wasn't him, he just couldn't be in multiple places at once! Was pleasantly surprised at how much of a hit the lay river was with us, but we had a blast! Lastly, the party that was put together by the staff was 10/10! Really do appreciate all the hardwork and how much fun we had! Wish I'd thought to take pictures, but I guess I was too busy enjoying myself!

There's a lot to love about this resort. The jogging trail and overall scenery are genuinely beautiful and make it feel like a relaxing escape after long park days. The freestyle soda machines were a nice perk, and the food quality exceeded expectations--it felt thoughtfully prepared rather than typical cafeteria-style resort food. Our room was very clean, which always makes a big difference, and the variety of transportation options to the parks was convenient and flexible. For what we paid, the value felt fair, especially considering the amenities. The pool area was also a highlight, and throughout our stay, the employees were consistently professional and helpful. The on-site laundry room was another underrated bonus--it made it easy to head home without a pile of laundry waiting. That said, there were a few drawbacks. We did notice gnats occasionally making their way into the room, which was frustrating. Transportation to Magic Kingdom in particular was inconsistent--the bus took a long time and caused us to miss early entry one morning. One bus driver interaction also stood out, as we were repeatedly corrected about our stroller not being "fully folded" (even though it was), along with strict direction on where we could stand or sit. Additionally, depending on your room location, the walk to Centertown Market can be quite long and inconvenient. The resort is also a bit far from any off-property convenience stores if you need to grab last-minute items, and the lack of a fitness center may be a downside for some guests. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, this was a fun and enjoyable place to stay. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and I would recommend it--and would stay here again.

When a vacation room has a door that faces the outside of the property I defined that as a motel and so that perception was immediately disappointing. We also experienced a lot of bugs coming in and out of the room and since you weren't in an interior space, traditional to a hotel, it contributed to having to walk through them. The resort is big in the pool area was nice. Getting from our room to the common area with food and gift shops seemed quite a distance, especially for us with a younger family. Travel to and from the park was convenient, although like any resort, very busy during peak times. Having visited other Disney resorts and resorts outside of the park, we would no longer choose to stay at the Caribbean beach resort.

From higher end bedding, to sparkling clean and well maintained everything, to the fresh lobby flowers, it all says high end and was much appreciated. Check in took a few minutes of waiting around noon and we were accommodated to an early check in. There was no availability for a room upgrade but the standard one was beautiful regardless. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and very clean with a separate shower and tub. The toiletries were a nice touch since my husband forgot to bring his toothbrush. The soaps, shampoo, body wash and conditioner all seemed like a higher quality with muted, natural scents. The grounds a very pretty, they shared amenities with the JW next door which created a fun day going from their lazy river then back to the Ritz pool for some R&R. The Ritz pool area has complimentary water, fruit, sunscreen, towels floating mats. The pool server was attentive as well. The lobby bar is large with friendly wait staff. I had probably the best charcuterie board I've ever had, featuring really decent gluten free toast in lieu of regular crackers, fresh honey comb, and high quality meats and cheeses. Fruit and electrolyte water was waiting in my room after a long day at the pool, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast buffet was inside Highball&Harvest, which was packed full of options, including gf muffins, toast, and waffles which were made in their kitchen area away from the buffet. There are a lot of amenities that I walked by but didn't utilize, like mountain bikes for their wood path, canoes, pool tables, ping pong, foosball, giant chess, soccer goals and a bunch of kids activities. Overall, I had an excellent stay at the Ritz Carlton and would love to return soon!

I attended the Ritz Carlton Orlando Spa After Dark Fourth of July Event…read more I was looking for something to do close to home and low key for the Fourth of July and stumbled upon the Spa After Dark event. I had been to the Ritz several times either to visit the spa and spa restaurant or to enjoy the pool using resort pass so I was familiar with the Ritz. I was expecting a small, quiet event but to my surprise many other people had the same idea that I had and decided to come to the Spa After Dark Fourth of July Event too! There were quite a few people attending the event but it didn't feel over crowded. There was great music playing setting the vibe. Plenty of seating but the seats did fill up as more and more people arrived. There was a bar servicing cocktails and mocktails. The evening included mini chair massages and pressotherapy but unfortunately I didn't get to partake in these services because they were being adjacent to the pool area and I really didn't want to leave the pool area and because there was a long wait. I really wish I could have been able to enjoy these services. There was food or light bites but since it was the Fourth of July I was expecting a little more. I would have loved to have maybe some mini burger sliders, bbq meatballs, or bbq chicken wings. These items would have been great for the Fourth of July. Instead we had about 4 to 5 types of hors d'oeuvres that were all you can eat. The hors d'oeuvres included cheese, hummus/pitas/vegetables, red and blue chips with salsa, fruit cup with yogurt, and 1 mocktail. The food was ok, with the best item being the hummus. The staff were friendly and helpful and kept the food coming. It started to drizzle (just temporarily) so one of the staff members came over and opened the umbrella to shield me from the rain. So thoughtful! The best part of the night was the fireworks! The fireworks were absolutely phenomenal!! The fireworks were so close! The finale was so memorable and the best fireworks that I have seen!
