I dug on and came up with a new set of lightweight pants with an over shirt designed by the gap and a beautiful, pale sage green color, which looked very restful. I thumbed through the offerings and also found a comfy cozy sweater jacket made of a soft fleece for those times when the heater just isn't enough. I headed for checkout, and on the way, found sunscreen, perfect for enjoying the rest of my stay in Palm Springs. Good value is always to be found here as well as some of the fresh looks in the market.

PS HomeBoys had always been on my radar and the moment I walked in I understood why. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. The showroom feels like the perfect expression of the Palm Springs design spirit. It is bright, colorful, creative, and unapologetically mid-century modern while still feeling fresh and current. The shop was founded by interior designer Jeremy Taylor together with his partner Niels Kosman, and you can really feel that designer's eye throughout the space. Every piece feels intentional, from the furniture and lighting to the artwork and wallpaper. Nothing feels random or mass-produced. It feels curated. Palm Springs has such a strong design identity and PS HomeBoys captures it perfectly. Walking through the store feels like stepping into the kind of home you see in the iconic desert architecture that made this city famous. It is easy to imagine how these pieces would work in a stylish desert home or even a vacation rental, which makes sense because they also help stage and design homes around the area. Okay, I've been coming here for 12 years and today was the day they lost me as a customer…read more This may seem simple and petty but it's more about customer service. A few weeks ago I came in for taco Tuesday, discounted tacos and they are always good. This time they didn't give me all that I paid for. Seemed like an honest mistake but I was already home when I noticed and so I called them to let them know. They asked for my name and how many tacos were missing and said I could come back another Tuesday and get them. No big deal right? Well I went in to ask about them today and I was told that nobody had written down my name and that I needed my receipt. But to pick up the tacos I had to give my receipt to the woman in the kitchen so I have no receipt. So I was simply dismissed and told no. I had already ordered and paid for two burritos today, I guess this is the last meal I will have here. Yes the food has been good. But to have been a customer this long and to be so easily dismissed leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We have our own business in town (a restaurant) and we do not treat customers this way. I have referred hundreds of people to Baja Springs, that also stops today. This is the prime example of it takes time to gain a customer and one day to lose them. If this is the way management treats me I don't want to continue to be a customer. It's not about money, it's about morals and ethics of at least acknowledging a customer and not just dismissing them like it was my fault for them not giving me what I had ordered. I'm sure they will continue on in business and do well, they just won't get my money anymore. Thanks for taking the 12 years of me being a customer and treating me like I truly don't matter at all. I guess I'll take my business up the street to the other market. If I don't matter I guess you won't miss me.

Revivals is a fairly large thrift store that is in the elbow corner of the center it is in. On one side they have very art minded/stylish furniture and home furnishings, then they have paintings, lighting fixtures, and sporting goods in the back, books and CDs on the left wall and clothes in the middle. They have some designer clothes and other collectible items and those are in showcases in the front of the store. Everything is reasonably priced. The store is very well organized and spaced out. They carry mostly used items, but they do get random lots of new items donated to them. And hey, it is Palm Springs. Where else would you find a rack of jock straps for sale? Me? I looked at Comme des Garcones that were too big for my feet and passed on those. I exited with a couple of DVDs. I will find something else here next time I visit Palm Springs!
