It dawned on me that I hadn't visited a Big Lots since I drove down to Columbus, OH back in 2018. Wow! I needed to break this streak. I managed to change lanes quickly during rush hour and made a sharp right turn into this Big Lots. It also has a Hobby Lobby nearby and a Zaxby's that I visited days later. There was plenty of parking. I parked fairly close to the main entrance and walked in. The store is huge. I didn't realize that Big Lots had bought Broyhill Furniture until I was immediately greeted by Broyhill sofas, sectionals, and more. I'm glad that the name lives on, as Broyhill has been in existence since the late 1920's. You do find a lot of cheap merchandise here. I missed this place so much. It was nice returning here. If you want cheap phone accessories, this place is perfect. You can find every USB cable and charging adapter out there. I found a Grogu portable speaker that dances to the music being played and also talks. I had to get it. The snacks and beverages were extensive. They are at the back of the store. There was an emphasis on keto items, including Quest protein powders and bars. The washrooms are also at the back of the store. The women's was clean and great. No complaints at all. This store also had over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen and antacids. I didn't need any, but it's good to know if I ever do. Candy and gum varieties are great. I got some Extra pineapple refreshers gum. It was so good that I chewed my way through every piece of gum and had to get another one later on during this trip. I signed up for Big Lots rewards. The woman at the cashout area was great. She explained how everything worked. You get discount coupons sent to you through e-mail. I got a 15% off everything one that I used a week later at another store. I paid for my items with a credit card. Easy peasy. I thanked the woman and left with my purchases. It's a decent Big Lots. They never said anything other than a half hearted sorry. They said they forgot to mark it sold. They refunded her money but did not offer anything for the time and has we wasted. We asked one of the clerks about the bench we weren't done shopping but didn't have a way to carry the bench around with us, so the clerk told us she would put it at the front of the store and had us pull the tag to keep with us until we checked out. When we were finally done shopping we started checking out and the Cashier told us that tag didn't belong to that piece of furniture and Had to talk to her manager, after talking to her manager she basically accused us of pulling it from another piece of furniture and that we had to pay the actual price for the furniture. Even though the Clerk that helped us in the first place told them she helped us with it. NEEDLESS TO SAY We will never shop at Any of these stores in the future.

Me and my wife won front of the line passes…read morelast week and got in on Friday at 10am but there were people in line who were looking to resell product and trying to cut in front of people who had been waiting since the sun rose. Going in at 10am people were running at full speed, groups and families ran in and canvassed what was valuable and by 15 minutes in there was a line of customers at the testing table, almost everyone had carts filled to the brim with electronic doo dads they were making sure worked and could be resold. Meanwhile me and the wife got out with 3 things we needed, paid $15 each, and discovered when we got home it was about $350 in merch, came back the next day and picked up two more of the things that are $170 retail, and felt amused. I will say one thing I think could be improved is to find some OCD kids and let them go through and sort things. My kids love doing that there, grouping the 200 of the same items into one area. Gotta be other kids that do that too. Oh yeah, and randomly they threw a princess party into the mix on Saturday which is why we were back and discovered there were 2 more $170 things there.

We usually avoid the…read moreMadison location for several reasons and now with the new Costco nearby in Hendersonville, we make it point to swing by this location when needed. The visits here have been hit and miss for the most part. The store has undergone some updates in the last few years and is still nicer and better equipped than other nearby locations, but the main thing with this location is how disorganized it seems on the regular. No matter what time of day, there is always stock on the floor, even in some cases completely blocking shelves and racks of merchandise. Service is just as hit and miss. We can never seem to find anyone on the floor, and when we do, they never approach you first. Overall, it's Target and it pains me to give anything less than 5 stars, but this store needs some work.
