Omg let me say, they have an event every Sunday night called Lover's Lounge that is a total vibe! The atmosphere is sexy and swanky. I did not eat this time but I plan to on my next visit because the food looks really good. I did have 3 cocktails however and they were quite boozy which I appreciated because I literally danced the night away! The DJ was out of this world! and they have hookah,the cherry on top for me! Amazing!!! Our waiter, Santiago, was super kind and attentive. He provided great recommendations and checked on us frequently. It was raining and the restaurant hadnt opened when we arrived, but the owner was so kind and sat us a bit early. We got the Miami spice menu and ordered various items: meatball tostones, lamb empanadas, branzino with coconut rice & grilled veggies, pavlova, and the eclipse. Everything was ridiculously good. My absolute favorite was the branzino with the sides. Perfect portions too as we left stuffed. For drinks, we got the Aegan Getaway & Ooopa. Both were great! This is one of my new favorite restaurants and I will definitely be returning to taste the regular menu as well. read more

My first time stopping in and was pleasantly surprised by the super cute ambiance. We sat at the bar since it was early in the evening. I decided to order food and my pasta was pretty good. My date and I came here for dinner ahead of a Candlelight concert and enjoyed their Miami Spice menu. We both agreed it was an interesting combination of flavors (kind of like a Hispanic and Mediterranean came together to cook dinner). The prices here are pretty outrageous (not sure why - it's Little Havana and this isn't exactly a Michelin star restaurant) so definitely glad Miami Spice was still going on when we went. My favorite was the steak and coconut rice; my date particularly enjoyed the branzino. read more

This restaurant was aethetically pleasing. Loved the cleanliness, the service and the upbeat attitude of the staff. I wen with my brother and we both enjoyed our meals thoroughly. The music was at the right level, the seating is just right and the general feel was great. This restaurant is right on 8th street (calle ocho) so parking is street only, unless there is valet that I didn't see. Get the word out people, this is a really classy restaurant that should make your stay joyful. We definetly need more of this in this area. read more

My friend and I had reservations at this restaurant at 5 PM. We arrived early and it was raining. So we were waiting by the front door. After a bit, this lady comes out and offers for us to wait for the rain to pass inside and sit at the restaurant. I had informed her that we actually had reservations for 5 PM. She did not know and immediately welcomed us to sit anywhere. She clarified that she's one of the owners but she was covering that day. I thanked her for letting us in early before the restaurant officially opened, especially without her knowing of our reservation. She gave us the menus and turned on the music once we chose a table. My friend and I ordered a cocktail with the bartender, who approached our table and provided some suggestions. A few minutes later we placed our order from the Miami Spice Menu. We tried the meatball tostones, house lamb empanadas, branzino filet with coconut rice and fries, pavlova and eclipse- the night fall. Everything was so tasty and delicious. My least favorite dish was the lamb empanadas. They were not bad but I'm just not a big lamb eater. However, the sauces it came with were delicious. The meatball tostones were also very good The green sauce elevated the dish. The branzino was tasty but my favorite part of the main course was the coconut rice. It took rice to a whole level with the crispy coconut on top. I wish I had that recipe. As to the desserts, I loved both of them. I'm not a big chocolate eater either but the eclipse was delicious. I would, however, order the pavlova next time I come. It was sweet and light. As to the drinks, I tried the Ooopa, which was very delicious. If you like margarita, I would recommend this drink. The bartender also surprised us with a welcome complimentary drink, which was also delicious! The bartender also made sure we liked everything we ordered. Before we left, he also gave us a chip for us to have a complimentary drink on our next visit. The owner also came by and ensured we liked everything, which we did. The decoration of the restaurant reminded me of being in Greece. It was decorated with the evil eyes on the tables, which I thought was very unique. On one side of the restaurant, there's a very nice photo opportunity area where there's a swing with flowers around it. The bathroom was also very nice decorated, clean smelled good. I would definitely return to this establishment as I felt like I was at another country with the decoration, delicious food and superb customer service. read more

I found Bargean on OpenTable while looking for a new place to try, and it caught my attention because in most of their photos the tables were empty -- I figured it might be a new spot, so we decided to check it out. The place has a nice design and is located on Calle 8. When we arrived, it was very quiet, almost empty, which surprised us. We later found out they've only been open for six months. The service was great -- our server Natalie was very attentive, and even the chef came out to greet us, which we appreciated. The food was good, reasonably priced, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. I'm not sure if they need more time or better promotion, but I think this place has potential. It would be good for private events or family gatherings. We'd definitely go back and recommend giving it a try. read more

Lazy friday... my hubby invited me to a miami spice experience at a new place we have never been to. He chose it based solely on the menu being offered on miami spice. Upon arrival it was completely empty. We walked in & immediately were greeted by a young man who was happy to see & assist us. Santiago bartender server very professional & suburb attention offered. We did have to request the miami spice menu, though we sort of had an idea of what to pick we did ask for suggestions. Santiago suggested one of us to get the meatball tostones which hubby did so & i went with the roasted beet salad. Lets start with the meatballs, precious small crispy tostones pieces dressed with a delicious crispy outside tender inside lamb meatball accompanied by an amazing flavor packed topping not sure of what it was but not only enhanced the meatball flavor it took it to another level. My beet salad was a very nice portion. Bite size beets sat on a bed of creamy refreshing cool yogurt w micro greens balance it out. Only minor thing i would change would be to offer the roasted beets at a warm temperature. This was a completely cold salad. Scrumptious but roasted warm beets would have created a hot cold burst of flavor. Onto main course. Hubby went with new york strip which was flavored and cooked to a perfect medium as requested. I went with the branzino filet. This was also very nicely seasoned cooked to a temperature where one could enjoy the delicate fish filet which it is. We both had the size of veggies. These were sauté to such a nice texture and its was made up of zucchini, varieties of mini carrots, sweet red mini peppers. Hubby also had the fried crispy yuca and i the maduros. Now any amazing meal like this one should be followed by an outstanding dessert and the two we had did not disappoint at all! Hubby went with the Sweet Amrosia which was made up of a spongy orange cake coconut reduction dulce de leche ice cream & banana gratin with a side of fresh whipped cream with berries. Take a spoonful of a bit if everything at the same time! Talk about a party in your mouth! Pour the coconut reduction over all of it and enjoy! I went with the pavlova which is a base created by whipped egg whites then toasted topped with dulce the leche topped with more fresh whipped cream and then freshly sliced strawberries. This is one of the best ones i have ever had in town! The depth of flavors from this delicate creation is mind blowing. Did i mention the miami spice menu portions offered i believe are the regular size! Cost:$45.00 per person which for the quality being offered is AMAZING! Young location but hope it will be around for a while. A must visit. Amazing bar area and music throughout. Staff is amazing as well. From the moment we walked in, we loved the vibe. This place is such a moment. It's very chic and nicely decorated. It's dimly lit, but not too dark or you can't appreciate anything. I came around 7 PM and it was nice because there was music in the background, but not loud enough where you can't enjoy the conversation. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Keftedes Parmesan's meatballs and the beef skewers! I did forgot to take pictures because I was on a date (phones always down). What a beautiful place! The decor is fabulous (even the bathrooms!). We came for Happy Hour and ordered Tuna Tartar and a pizza (don't remember the name), but it was the most delicious I've ever had! it had just the right amount of garlic with out being overpowering. The server, who was spot-on (courteous, happy to see us, attentive while giving us space) told us how everything was made, all the ingredients used, and the inspiration to blend Latin flavors with Aegean food. Wonderful selection of wine! Then, there is the music (a recording of old Cuban songs from the 30's - 50's) playing in the background, which was perfect for talking and very nostalgic without being sad. The bar is beautiful and the bartender is a trip and very warm, funny & welcoming. I think it is a family business. As we were leaving, a DJ came on. The prices are reasonable and there is even a 50% discount 5:00 - 7:00pm. What a great find! read more
