Karen, one of the owners, has put so much thought into creating a fantastic and memorable space. The outdoors just got an upgrade with the addition of a little garden adjacent to the porch. There is a beautiful mural, a lovely fountain, and fun furniture that give the space such a fun vibe! Once you climb the stairs, you'll see various spots to lounge on the porch from rustic looking benches and chairs to swings hanging from rope. Upon entering the shop, it is a combination of rustic mountain decor with fun and whimsical pieces--- from the coffee tree to the taxidermy squirrel riding the bucking fox rodeo style. The place is so inviting, comfortable, and it's charm is unmatched. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your coffee in the Smokies. Spouse and I always get the Campfire Latte, and it's incredible with mocha, white mocha, and toasted marshmallow syrup. We have also had the Heavenly Harvest from their Fall drink menu, and we loved that too! Our coffee is always delicious and we just keep coming back for more! Karen and her baristas do such an awesome job making our coffee and it says something when they don't ask you anymore what you'll be having. Building rapport is an understatement as they make you feel much more than just another customer, but a part of their coffee house tribe.

Their coffee is hit or miss, sometimes tastes burnt and is WAY too expensive for what you may end up getting. I love Dutch Bros because everything I get from there is great and always tastes like it should also they are always super nice). This little coffee shop is ADORABLE and it also shares the building with Sweet Frog (Frozen Yogurt). We were kind of surprised when we came in because there weren't many pictures in their reviews. They have lots of options (see my pictures for menu) and a "barista favorites" menu that I was glad I saw! Super clean, very cute and inviting. I always get excited when I find a coffee shop that has Lavender anything. The rest of my family was equally happy with their Vanilla Latte and Americano. I also grabbed a bag of chocolate covered espresso beans which were yummy and perked me up a bit. It's a tiny shop, so if you have a big party, you won't all be able to fit. They also sell house-made vanilla extract in cute little bottles, coconut and lemon sugar, adorable mugs, and a variety of teas and trinkets. I wish I could buy everything in this shop, it's so cute. That's a pretty strong endorsement considering there are approximately 7,000 places in Gatlinburg willing to sell you coffee, fudge, pancakes, taffy, or some combination of all four. Tucked away inside The Village, Coffee & Company has that hidden gem feel that makes you wonder how many people walk right past it without realizing what's waiting inside. The coffee itself is solid. One thing I appreciated was the balance. Too many coffee shops seem to believe that foam should either completely dominate the drink or be absent altogether. Here, the ratio of coffee to froth was right where it should be, allowing the coffee itself to remain the star of the show. I ordered a flavored coffee, and while I wasn't completely in love with the particular caramel syrup they use, that's more personal preference than criticism. Coffee flavors are a bit like pizza toppings... ask ten people and you'll get twelve opinions. The drink was still enjoyable and well made. The staff deserves credit as well. Friendly, efficient, and quick without making the experience feel rushed. They seemed genuinely happy to be there, which isn't always guaranteed when dealing with tourists before they've had their caffeine. What I like most about Coffee & Company is that it knows exactly what it is. It's not trying to be a trendy coffee laboratory where your drink arrives after a 15-minute explanation of bean origins and atmospheric conditions during harvest season.
