I got an iced latte with cookie butter and cinnamon bun syrup. Yum! Liked that there were lots of flavor options and ways to customize your drink. I think the syrups were Monin brand. Service was good! You order at the window and wait for them to bring your drink out the side door. There is no interior for customers to enter. Coffee Shop No. 486 Coffee Shack The Villages, Gatlinburg, TN March 26, 2025 This was my third cortado in less than a couple of hours. I was feeling a bit jittery and wasn't sure if I could consume another one. Plus, I noticed everyone was ordering fancy over the top lattes and shakes. This is generally a bad sign for espresso drinkers. I went up to say hello to the gentleman in the Coffee Shack (great name by the way). He knew what a cortado was and sounded like he enjoyed them too. This is a VERY good sign; so I went ahead and ordered the cortado. It was FANTASTIC; totally worth the extra jitters. Kinda waited a little for drinks and there wasn't that much of a wait, but it's not bad. I will say, there's no parking unless you want to pay $20 for parking. I think the biggest downside is the location if you just want to grab a quick coffee. If you're touring the area, it's a nice place to grab something. We got an iced almond milk sf gingerbread latte, an iced latte with mocha and peanut butter, and an iced coffee with caramel and coconut. Our barista was super nice and he made sure our drinks were made perfectly. He even made sure we knew the almond milk was sweetened for the sf latte. When i go on vacation, i love to find new coffee places. Walking on the main drag of Gatlinburg, got my first mocha at Coffee Shack. Considering it was in the middle of a tourist area, the pricing was very reasonable. The coffee matters most at a coffee bar. Coffee here was really good. Visiting Gatlinburg for the week and I love trying different coffee shops while traveling. First, I wouldn't drive here ONLY to get coffee. This area is packed and there's no free parking. I'd recommend trying this spot only if you're planning on spending the day in this area so you're not paying $20 parking only for a coffee trip. First impression wasn't great. I stood at the window for 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. The girl looked busy but a simple "hi, I'll be with you soon" would be good customer service. I started wondering if maybe they weren't taking orders or something. Once I was able to order my coffee, the girl was nice and I felt like maybe she was just stressed. For 2 coffees it was $17.86 which I was mind blown by but over the past couple days I've come to realize that coffee is just expensive everywhere here. I don't think that's unique to the coffee shack. My coffee was pretty good. She had recommended a fall drink to me. My husband got a dirty chai which is his usual everywhere and he said it was the best dirty chai he's ever had. He said it was creamy. I wasn't blown away but I also wasn't disappointed. The man working was so incredibly rude and condescending- he should not be working customer service (mid afternoon November 22, 2025). The coffee itself was good, and if the person working was kind like other reviews I'd seen, I would have given 4 stars. When I ordered a caramel latte he acted as if I were an idiot and said (read with extreme sass) "I think you mean you actually want a caramel macchiato-it's the exact same thing" (no, it is not but I was caught off guard by his attitude that I didn't know how to respond to him) When my friend ordered her iced chai and requested a syrup added, he was incredibly rude and said "no one adds syrups to chai I don't understand why you would want to do that." She then paid $9 for a 12oz chai. She and I have both worked in coffee shops and customer service, and we were so flabbergasted by his attitude that we both said we would never be back again. He does not deserve the job he has, and I pray to God he is not the owner because he needs 1.) to be taught how you treat people and 2.) more education on his products and coffee in general. This has to be the worst coffee place I've been, horrific service!!! I ordered a coffee, ask for a pump of sweetener and he put 8 pumps in!!!!! When I then said its way too sweet for my liking and if he could put more coffee in. I stopped by here this past Tuesday morning with my wife for our morning coffee. We had walked by the Coffee Shack a day before and so I decided to give it a try. Like it's name states, it's a "shack" on the main drag in Gatlinburg and so there is not too much to say about it. You walk up, place your order and wait for your coffee. On this morning I decided to go with with a large latte while my wife went with a small coffee. My coffee here ended up being decent as I could taste both the coffee and the milk and enjoyed the taste. My wife was also a big fan as she thought the coffee had a deep and rich taste to it.
