    Derby enjoying his birthday treat.

Our dogs have been happily coming to Bark Hotel for over 9 years. It's a great place to take them to Playcare so they can socialize with other dogs. We also board there. Bark staff take great individualized care of each dog, and gets to know them. They even had a birthday party for Derby, which made his day! Have recommended Bark to several friends who were nervous, having never boarded their dogs, and they all are happy there.

Our very large puppy Cooper love BARK! He waits by the door wagging his tail each morning. He is so sweet and tired when he gets home. They feed him if we don't have time in the morning, and they keep him overnight if I'm running crazy late from work and can't get there in time to pick him up. They have been such a saving grace for us since we moved here!! He really loves his puppy buddies, and I imagine they miss him when he doesn't come to puppy play dates! He can't tell me in words, but he tells me in every other way how much he loves being part of the BARK! family. I strongly recommend BARK for doggie daycare and boarding.

Prince. He was a new rescue when we went to Bark. They were Fantastic with him!

Bark has always taken very good care of my dogs. I have used them for multiple days when I have gone out of town. They are totally compassionate and accommodating.

Additionally, we requested our digs medical records and they will not provide them. On the morning of our appointment, we dropped our dog off at 8:00 a.m. for grooming. We were not informed at that time that grooming would not begin until approximately 2:00 p.m., nor that he would remain crated the entire day. We picked him up at 4:00 p.m. Our dog is a recently adopted rescue who suffers from severe anxiety and abandonment issues. We have only had him for approximately three weeks. The veterinary team at McKinney Animal Hospital is fully aware of his background and emotional condition, as we brought him in for a veterinary visit immediately after adopting him. Given this knowledge, it is extremely concerning that he was left in a crate all day without food and separated from his family for an extended and unnecessary period of time. Had we been informed at drop-off that he would not be groomed until 2:00 p.m., we would never have left him there for that length of time. In addition to the prolonged crating and lack of feeding, our dog was completely shaved. While he did have some matting, I had already removed several mats myself, and there was no justification provided for shaving him to the extent that they did. When we arrived to pick him up, we were genuinely unsure whether the dog presented to us was ours. His appearance had been altered so drastically that he looked like a completely different dog. He was also acting extremely timid and withdrawn, as though he did not recognize us. The entire experience was heartbreaking. When we expressed our disappointment and concerns, the manager on duty, Pamela, brought the groomer into the discussion. While we were calmly explaining that our dog has anxiety and abandonment issues and that he should not have been left crated all day, the groomer responded by stating that it was "probably because of us" that the dog has anxiety and abandonment issues. This statement was inappropriate, unprofessional, and deeply disrespectful. Although the manager immediately told the groomer she could not say that, the damage had already been done and the situation unnecessarily escalated. Throughout the conversation, there was no meaningful ownership of the situation. Instead, we were told that we had authorized a complete shave, which we absolutely did not. If we had been told that shaving him entirely was the only option, we would have declined the service and groomed him at home. Additionally, we were required to purchase flu shots and a fecal test before grooming could be performed, totaling approximately $120. The overall bill was approximately $250. When we requested a refund for the grooming service due to our dissatisfaction, we were offered only 10% off and a $60 credit. A credit is not acceptable, as we will not be returning. Given the circumstances, this resolution is inadequate. The lack of communication, disregard for our dog's known anxiety issues, prolonged crating without food, drastic grooming without proper consent, and the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of the groomer reflect a serious failure in customer service and animal care standards. Due to this experience, we will not be returning to McKinney Animal Hospital. I urge other pet owners to carefully consider their options before entrusting their pets to this facility for grooming services. The manager Pamela and the owner Janel took no ownership or accountability for how our dog was handled nor their disrespect or unprofessionalism of their dog groomer. They simply did not care.

EVERY single interaction is them pushing unnecessary services that are obscenely over priced. Even the vets will quietly tell you about more reasonably priced services, to seek out. That tells you a LOT about the management. Clearly the new owners had one thing in mind. Cash profits over animal care.

Cheryl is the best. Seriously. We heard about her from a friend and when we meet for our free…read moreevaluation I knew she was gonna be our trainer. We live in Lake Stevens which is out of her travel range so we met at McCollum park in Everett for our sessions. We have a 6 month old Whippet and the web is full of information about how Whippets are not motivated to be trained, can never be trusted off leash, no training collars (they have thin necks), are very sensitive, etc. After reading all this I was left bewildered. I had trained our previous dog (Lab) but I felt like nothing I knew before would work on this dog and I hadn't even started! Cheryl put my mind at ease. She felt that a balanced approach (a gentler training collar with lots of positive reinforcement) was the way to go and how a dog is trained and what it can and can't do is up to the individual dog and its owner. We signed up for her Silver package and met twice a week for 5 weeks. After our first lesson I was so pleased I could cry. Just that lesson taught Dobby not to pull which was his biggest issue. From there he learned sit, down, come, place, heel, stay, not to jump up on people and just how to generally pay attention to me more than his surroundings. Its tough for him as Sighthounds see everything and are intensely interested. But he's come so so far. Cheryl never lost her cool, never lost her patience and she had a solution for every issue that came up. I had to bring my 4 kids numerous times as we homeschool and she was never (visibly) annoyed, even though they were sometimes quite annoying :) We did end up using an electronic collar and our last few sessions involved working with him on that. He has begun work off leash using this collar. It also helps make corrections at home when he doesn't have a leash on and is far away. I would recommend using the e-collar option if it fits into your budget. Its been really nice. I can't recommend Cheryl highly enough. We really enjoyed our time with her and Duke and her impact on Dobby and us will last a very long time. She enabled us to have a well-behaved dog that we can take anywhere. That's priceless.

**WARNING!! READ THE MUTT PUDDLE POLICIES BEFORE GIVING THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!…read more As a new customer, I recieved that red carpet treatment that makes you think you've finally found "the place." FYI: Both the McKinney and Allen locations are represented by the same ownership and management team. My review is based on my firsthand experience as a customer. The lesson I learned this time is that the true character of a business isn't revealed when everything goes right. It's revealed when something goes wrong. A really bad grooming job grows back, and I could have easily laughed that off and moved on. RED FLAG #1 What I couldn't overlook was that my tiny 5lb Maltese had a puncture wound (the size of a pencil tip eraser) under her chin and a belly covered in abrasions (guessing from hot clippers). **They did not report it. RED FLAG #2 When I got home and discovered the injuries, I emailed TMP immediately. I expected: concern for her well-being and a sincere effort to make things right. Instead, I got a lengthy email about "miscommunication" regarding the grooming. I got an apology. What I didn't get was the one thing I was looking for: genuine human concern for my injured dog. RED FLAG #3 The solution was never complicated. A simple acknowledgment (regardless of how it happened). My tiny dog came home hurt and that mattered. A refund. This experience was extremely upsetting for my family, traumatic for our tiny Tina, and I worry about her demeanor when I take her to a new groomer. She's such a tiny baby and to minimalize our situation has been heartbreaking. RED FLAG #4 One of the most concerning things I discovered was The Mutt Puddle's liability policy. Their policy (search for it online and read it) states; that pet owners assume all responsibility when leaving their pets in the salon's care and that The Mutt Puddle and its staff will not be held responsible for injuries, deaths, medical bills, clipper burns, cuts, stress-related issues, or nearly any other problem that may arise during grooming. **This is why they didn't report the injuries, it didn't matter, their policy protects them regardless of what happened! Prospective customers should do their homework before choosing either salon. Do deep search and read their policies in full, employee ratings, the social media reports, reviews and responses from management. Grooming salon's in Texas do not require groomers to be licensed and this means liability, quality control and any kind of regulation is nonexistent! Before you take your baby to The Mutt Puddle.. decide whether their approach to customer service, accountability, and animal care aligns with your expectations and ethics. At the end of the day, we are trusting salons like this one with our beloved babies. Our pets rely entirely on us to protect them and on the professionals caring for them to uphold the trust placed in their hands. For all animal lovers, that trust is sacred. We've lost complete trust in The Mutt Puddle and will not go back. They have taught me the difference between customer service and reputation control. Good luck with that business model. .
