He's a doodle and had some matting and she was able to shave just where he was matted and leave everything else fairly long (like I asked). Typically when I pick him up from other groomers, he is completely shaved from being matted but not here. He is so soft and fluffy. I also love that they are a stay and play!! So you can drop your dog off at any point, and pick them up at any point during business hours. No late fees, no extra charges!!! I love this- I always hate planning my day around when my dog is going to be ready at other groomers. It seemed like the dogs were just wandering around the grooming area and there was a little area for strictly playing, but it's not like they take them to a separate room or outside, but I still love how they socialize and aren't caged!! It was pricy- at other groomers I have paid $80-$90 for a groom and here it was $105, but that also includes getting to play and socialize for as long as you need, so I think it's worth it!! I will note, they charge a 4% credit card fee if you use one. But they don't if you Venmo or pay cash. We will definitely be back!

I could tell my dog was stressed and he was shaking. I would like to say that the groomer was amazing. She came out and talked to me about what I wanted before dropping him off and called me when he was ready and was so sweet. I think the management is over booking things. If I dropped my dog off at 10am and he isn't ready until 4pm that is ridiculous. I will not be going back .

Do Not Take Your Dog Here!…read more We took our puppy to Modern Pet Salon for the first time because we heard they use scissors instead of clippers, which we thought would be gentler. It turned out to be a terrible mistake. We specifically asked them multiple times not to cut too much of her hair, especially since she doesn't like it, but they insisted she had too many tangles and needed a full trim. Not only did they ignore our request, but they cut our puppy twice, both on her ears--areas where there was no tangled hair at all. They even called us during the appointment to say she was bleeding. Later, they claimed it was because she had an ear hematoma and that they had just trimmed it. That was a complete lie. We took her to the vet, who confirmed that the injury was a fresh cut from grooming and not from any medical condition. She did not have a hematoma. They hurt her, and then tried to cover it up. They also asked us to use an old sock to cover the wound, which felt incredibly unprofessional and careless. Since then, our puppy has been extremely uncomfortable. She keeps shaking her head, clearly bothered by her ears, and she has been very sad and withdrawn. This is the first and only time something like this has ever happened to her. I'm beyond disappointed. Not only should they have never charged us for this awful experience, but they should not be handling dogs, especially sensitive breeds like doodles, if they can't do so safely and honestly. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Please protect your pet and take them somewhere else.

In fact his love for daily visits to the dog park are why we prefer boarding him over having someone watch him at our home. Club Fetch had the notes from the other facility and chose to give our boy a chance. They sent daily report cards evaluating his behavior with photos and took excellent care of our dog. When I picked him up they said that he was an angel and was welcome to stay there anytime. Club Fetch gives us great peace of mind. We are so thankful to have a safe and loving place to care for our dog when we have to be away.

They then proceeded to look at my records for my pet and stated "You need every single distemper shot in the series to be seen. NC state law." Upon a simple google search, the only shot required by law is the rabies shot (which my dog has). I was refused grooming for no reason by an ill informed staff team. Not to mention the lack of customer service by not having a booking system that works and lack of basic phone etiquette.

Not a great fit for my dog. I have a 40lb furry dog. I know she is tough to deshed, etc. Her normal groomer is a corporate place, and I was happy to try a local groomer when I saw the deal on Living Social for $20 for $75 worth of services. I dropped her off at 12:30. At 3:30 I got a call they were unable to put her in the wash tub. I needed to go back to the groomer and actually stay with her the entire time. This is fine since I appreciated their hesitation to muzzle her. However, TWO HOURS later, she was just getting out of her bath. They had not yet done her nails, etc. I had to go, at this point it was almost 6, so I said I would just take her. They had not brushed her, cleaned her ears, or done her nails (no hair trim needed). I had allowed them to do the deshed. I was not given a price upfront; she said she would let me know at the end. Well, she "cut me a deal" and only charged me $40 instead of the "normal" $55. So I paid a total of $60 for a bath I had to help with, a 5 1/2 hour trip for my dog, I had to brush her, and I will now have to take her somewhere else for her nails. Her normal groomer charges $75 to do all that in less than 3 hours. This lady apparently would have charged me $130 for my dog (the $75 value from Living Social plus the $55 shed fee). That is absolutely insane for a place which is ill-equipped. I gave this two stars instead of zero because I really did think the owner/groomer was nice. But, I can't justify this experience on a nice personality. I would recommend this for someone with a small-sized dog, as that is the best fit for the facility. I just wish she had been honest about that. It would have saved me time, money, and I wouldn't have had to irritate my boss by taking a half day to go bathe my dog. Bottom line: I could have gotten these results (granted I wouldn't have gotten as much loose fur off) at home for free in under an hour. Anyway, this is just my experience. If you have a small dog, these other reviewers may be a better fit for you. read more

I've been taking my two shih tzus to Bark Street for over two years now, and I couldn't be happier with the care they receive. Before discovering this spa, I used to take them to corporate grooming stores, where they were always terrified and had poor experiences. At Bark Street, it's a completely different story. My dogs are excited to go in, and when I pick them up, they're happy, relaxed, and in great spirits. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, which brings me so much comfort knowing my babies are in good hands. They consistently do an amazing job, and it's clear they truly care about the pets they groom. I highly recommend Bark Street to anyone looking for a place where your dogs will feel safe, loved, and well taken care of! read more

I have been taking my dog for the past year and 100% recommended, they do a great job. I can tell they love what they do. I have a sheepdog and the furminator there is great. I have also notice that the baths last longer my dog does not smell like a dog anymore. read more
