I cannot thank Estrella and her team enough! They did an outstanding job working with my Australian Shepherd, Ryu. In advance, I did inquire if they can work with anxious dogs as Ryu had never been professionally groomed prior, and he's always been anxious since his puppy days. She kindly advised it'd be best to utilize CBD and bring him in muzzled for his first time since he does throw warning bites to new faces. To my surprise, Ryu did gravitate towards Estrella, and did not try biting and she was able to complete the full service with no issue. She kept me updated throughout the whole process and it made me feel very calm as well knowing Ryu was in great hands. Worth every single penny and I will definitely be bringing him back here always. Estrella is really worth the hype of what you see on Tiktok. She really knows how to take care of her clients. My dog came in lookin pretty rough and she completely transformed her. I don't think I've seen her this white in a while. Unfortunately, my dog had a little poppy accident and Estrella was so nice and understanding about the situation. She even helped with suggesting a new diet for her so she can be healthier and grow a nicer coat. Such a great help. Her prices were also reasonable as well. In October 2022, I found this place on TikTok and just in time because I have the most hyper dog I've ever owned. He was only 5 months old and I couldn't even bathe him by myself. He kept jumping out of the tub at home. Estrella was honest with me about his first grooming session. He didn't love it but she knew how to read his limits. I had a small 7 lb poodle mix before and now have a standard poodle and they are VERY different. If you have a poodle/doodle mix, Star is your girl. They ruined my dogs hair, told me he was completely matted when he wasn't. I don't recommend this place for doodles maybe huskies because they have straight hair but this place will take your words and do what they want with your dog. I even left a note with instructions that they clearly could not follow. They're the worst groomers for a doodle. I could of given what they gave my doodle at home with some clippers. Never will bring my doodle back here, they shouldn't be charging so much to just do what they want with a dog that's not theirs. I have been going to Barkin Groomers since January 2022. At that time, I was a new dog mom, my Chico was barely 1 year old, and I was very nervous. Well... first experience with Barkin yesterday. We have two Scottish terriers and seriously, one of the BEST experiences with a groomer we have had in years! Just took them in for bath and brush... both done in 45 minutes! And gorgeous. Love the cage-free philosophy.
