This is a cute restaurant in North Hills, I wanted to try something new. I was seated, got my food and drink within 4-5 minutes. I appreciate quick service but clearly the food was not made to order. I got the short rib, it was okay, the flavor was there but the short rib could have definitely been more moist, more sauce would have helped! 15 minutes later I was asked if I wanted the check. It definitely felt rushed.

Barking Dog is a quality spot. The brunch menu has quite a few options and is fairly priced. I went with the breakfast bowl and it was very good. Very, very solid breakfast.

My entree was salmon carbonara with parm, roasted mushrooms, truffle, and couscous. The flavor combo was very delicious and left a lasting impression. The salmon was overcooked. My husband ordered the cod sandwich and fries. The brioche bread was soft and toasted, the fish crispy, and the slaw was crispy and rich. The fries were cold. The service was kind and slow, the environment classy with a touch of dog decor. The drink menu had unique ingredients and all cocktails listed were $12. You can bring your dog to the patio which is covered for the winter season.

Barking Dog is cute spot in North Hills to grab brunch or dinner. A friend and I stopped in for dinner and had an enjoyable experience. We each ended up doing two rounds of drinks--she ordered the Dog Bubbles and the Eleanor, while I went with a beer and the Tail Wagger. I loved the names of the drinks. For dinner, I had the Crispy Cod Sando with mashed potatoes, and it was good. What stood out to me even more was how reasonable the prices were, especially for a North Hills location.

The food didn't quite live up to my expectations, and the service was rather slow . The chicken was the only part I enjoyed; the calamari was a disappointment--mostly just fried batter with no squid in sight.

We came here for brunch and were seated immediately, and welcomed with specials and drinks. Maxx was our waiter and if he offers you to make a special iced coffee, let him do his thing. We had a salted caramel iced coffee and it was incredible. We split the Bird and Waffle and the Bull Dog Brunch Bowl. Incredible!! The pepper jelly jam was a nice twist on the waffles. The service was amazing too--we had three different employees check on us throughout our experience. Can't wait to come again and take advantage of patio.

We came here a few months ago and weren't SUPER impressed by the service. Came back today and honestly it was so much better, the food was good, a couple little mistakes but nothing that wasn't a quick fix. We sat out on the patio and the vibe was chill and relaxing, made friends with a few 4 legged friends too. We got a chorizo omelette, bull dog brunch burger and tres leches pancake, all of it was amazing, the coffee was good and our server kept the cups filled! We came in just as a bit of a rush started ( Saturday at 1030am) so it took a few minutes to get service but we were sat immediately. I don't remember our servers name but she had blue hair, she is literally the sweetest girl! she took such good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The table next to us were incredibly impatient and rude to her, I'd love for her to know that she was doing an amazing job and that she has an amazing personality, we saw how hard she was working. Overall, we enjoyed our experience MUCH MORE this time and will definitely be stopping back in next time to try the southern croque madame and salmon Sando!

Some solid food at this place with plenty of options. I got the buttermilk crispy chicken sando and it came with coleslaw, pickles and bark sauce. It was a solid chicken sandwich nothing too crazy but it hit the spot. Also we got a burger that was very solid as well! We both got a different fries I got regular fries and she got sweet potato fries both were good! Overall a solid vibe great place to chill and maybe bring your dog to sit outside with you. They also have specific pet options if your dog is hungry and the service is very friendly.

Very good, the STEAK & FRITES is fire

A pretty casual outdoor patio dining experience. Food was fine. I ordered a Chicken Caesar salad. Service was fine.

Nice easy brunch choice. The Rottweiler burger is fantastic! Bloody Mary's are good too but they are served in a fairly small glass.

Good reason to come back. Started with prickly pear margarita with mescal. Yum! Had a white wine after. It was ok. My friend and I shared 4 bruschetta's- smoked salmon and pesto, artichoke, caprese, and apple, Brie and fig. Favs were smoked salmon and apple and Brie. The fries were amazing. Salmon board was good too. The bread on the board was much better than the bruschetta. Ambiance is great. Service as well. Will be back!

Their roast beef panini is on par with Portillo's a long standing Chicago beef restaurant (IYKYK). I've NEVER had a beef sandwich that was better than Portillo's but Postino you managed to take a hometown classic and elevate it to a point beyond my expectations - if you get this sandwich I recommend getting it on the ciabatta bread versus focaccia. Let's not overlook the tomato soup - it's so rich and flavorful. For a lighter lunch my go to is the tuna panini with broccoli salad. They are known for their boards, I've not had the bruschetta yet but it looks delicious. My favorite board is the hummus. One thing I hate is when a restaurant gives you a big bowl of hummus and not enough pita. That is not the case here, you'll get pita, toasted bread, and a variety of vegetables to scoop up the velvety humus covered in cherry tomatoes, red onion and feta. For date night enjoy a Violet Femme a gin cocktail that tastes as lovely as it looks. The service here is top notch! Everyone is fantastic. I'll have to come back to this review to note the serves names we've had because they have all been exceptional. Now let's talk about the vibe! Postino's nailed the indoor/outdoor feel. Plenty of windows that are open on nice days, plants galore and the decor gives you a cool like rockstar but classy feel. 5 stars doesn't feel like enough.

With little signage the space feels like a natural speakeasy. It's unpolished enough to feel a little sleazy, yet polished enough to never feel dirty. In other words, it has character, and plenty of it. The bartenders were fantastic: knowledgeable, talented, and happy to chat about the spirits behind the bar. Whether you're a serious whiskey enthusiast or just looking for a well-made cocktail, you're in good hands. Being open later than most Raleigh bars makes Foundation one of the city's go-to late-night options, but that shouldn't overshadow what it really is........a great bar at any hour. The atmosphere, the drinks, and the people behind the bar make this a place worth seeking out whether it's your first stop of the evening or your last.

I had their basil smash, which was refreshing, and the Manhattan--bold with a warm, spicy profile. Pleasant surprise to see Michter's as the special of the night, and it was excellent with smooth caramel and vanilla notes. Service started off a little hands-off since we ordered at the bar, but picked up toward the end when staff came by to check in. Drinks were high quality without being overpriced, and the vibe is relaxed--not at all pretentious. You can definitely come casual. If we had more time, we would've stayed longer or come back for another round.
